First time player here. I tried to start with the gun lance and decided it's was a little too hard, then I tried the long sword and was digging that although it's a little slow. And then I tried the lite bowgun and that one I feel like is awesome!! Finally killed the raptor monsters leader guy outside of the time you do it in training. The camera is a nightmare to get used to!! Especially with the bow. But I'm really liking it so far.
Pros and cons of playing MHFU on iPhone 4 Pros: -You can launch the app safely without hardware requirement menu pop-ups. -Better reaction when hunting monsters -Mission timer will last longer -Easier to talk to NPC -Mini games are easier Cons: -Small screen -Very long loading -"Slow Motion" feature exclusive for iPhone 4 -Your fellow hunter will slash at the wind when you play multiplayer -Every weapon became heavier than usual, especially Great Sword At least it's playable, right?
can someone help me how can I determine the name of the monsters I'm encountering? without killing them first?
Use google to find an index of all of the monsters in game and keep safari open to it so you can switch back and forth while you're playing. It's what I did for a while.
When I took that quest I think I had a Bulldrome hanging with the Popos, which was confusing because they look a lot alike. But that Bulldrome was the only one rushing me. So I killed one Popo, left the area, came back and killed another, etc. But the second time I did the quest I don't think the Bulldrone was there at all.
Pscience, and other more knowledgeable pips - is it really not a good idea to focus on Atk for the Felyne companions? So what do you personally select? Just Def or the combination?
I hope you were joking. You can't be serious right? I tried to exchange cards with you online but it always fails. Then the game kicks us from the room. We can never get a game going with each other sadly. I could definitely use some help. I'm stuck at HR3 atm so I went to do elder stuff and now I'm stuck at Tigrex..
If you look at 'references' on the menu screen after 'inventory' you can look at a list of monsters, provided you have bought the books from the store
I'm thinking of trying the lance or something. I feel like I'm relying on the DB's devil dance a a crutch, but I can't get the feel of the hammer, SnS (strange since I only used the SnS in Tri), light bowgun, long sword is meh. I haven't tried the lance, gun lance, great sword or heavy bowgun, but I don't like slow things and I don't like ranged attacks, so I'm basically left with the lances.
@L.Lawliet Nope, I'm not joking. Because of the lag, the game moves more slower, except on your hunter bedroom or other small place, like the cave in the farm. The lag also affect the mission timer. The mission timer moves more slowly, so a second in MH = 2 seconds in real life, depending on your location. For example, if you are playing in the swamp area and completed the quest in 20 minute, you actually completed it in 30 - 40 minute in real time. And that's not even the worst part. Playing multiplayer on an iPhone 4 is a nightmare. Do not play multiplayer on it, because the speed of your MH is different with another people with a better and powerful iOS, unless you are playing multiplayer with another iPhone 4 user, I guess. Also, because the game moves slower, monsters will also moves and attack slower, so you have a better reaction time when a monster attacks. But as a downside, your hunter also moves and attacks slower. Even with all this downsides, I can still play quests and advance the game, so it's playable for me. For the kind of people that doesn't stand a single lag, they should play MH on a better device.
I've been watching gamingbliss' channel. Try it out Only way to beat the big monsters ie bosses? Learn their attacks, the way they move and anticipate them, know their elemental weaknesses and weak points. Sometimes, they make certain moves before making a specific type of attack. And well, perseverance lol
Ok well as it turns out I am alright with long swords! I tried the congalala training mission with it and I had no worries What skills/armor and weapon should I try to get? Right now I have full genprey and have gemed in sword sharpener.
I'm finding this page on the Monster Hunter Wiki useful for identifying monsters, for those new to the game. (like me)
My favorite is GS.. Already beat the tigrex urgent at the village chief quest, and it was awesome!!! Loving the touch controls!
I dont know really. Felyne companions are the one thing in this game i never got into. I prefer going solo when doing single player so i can manipulate the monster's turning towards me into an advantage. Having cats with you is giving the monster another targets to attack meaning if you want it to turn around so you can hit it in the head has lots of chances to miss instead. Worse, it can get you hit
The ceanataur blade master armors are always good to pick up on any melee class. Im glad somebody's starting to ask questions like this.
Anyone know another game where you dig up dung to fertilize your crops let me know, because this is hilarious!
Aye. Although 'how do I deliver da popo tongues?' Is to be expected of newbies to the series. Is the ceanataur the red crab or the blue crab?
Desert, area joined to area 1. It's green on the map (area 4?) There should be a black pile that has a nice whipped texture. Mmm Yeah that's dung. You can also get Wyvern dung there which increases the level of all your farm rows to 3 (single use)
