Hit it til it dies. (i miss saying that ) Any specific weapon type you prefer using? He's weak at the head. And he's weak to thunder. Biggest openings are still quite small, so dont get greedy with attacks. This is where the GS shines coz while Tigrex is turning, a Lv3 GS charge gets ready to hit it in the face, followed by a roll towards your right (tigrex's left). Hammers, HH, and LS have good ways to use this opening too. GLs and Lances can abuse block on this fight. I can personally use a lance without much blocking, but it'll need experience to do so. Always roll towards the front of Tigrex's left forearm to be able to avoid most of its attacks, most especially his charge. If you stay close to his face consistently, he will almost never use his charge attack and do more spins and short bites which are good openings for attacks. But make sure you position yourself so that you can roll towards the front of his left forearm when you do so!
Anyone have some good tips for a MH beginner? I played a little Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii and was probably below average, but with all the stuff thrown at you at the beginning I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Here is where I am so far... - Completed the tutorial - Completed the 1 star quests from the chief - Replaced starting equipment with Leather Armor How important is the kitchen, hiring a cat to help attack, farming? What purposes do each of them serve? What should I be looking to craft first (equipment-wise)? I am using a hammer mostly and already upgraded that.
Take a look at this http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/55394 It's quite helpful.
Cats are amazing! They raise your stats depending what they cook! They give you presents! And you end up a crazy cat lady with 6 cats!!! Does anyone's iphone get scolding hot after an hour of play?
Yup. That's the price we have to pay for a game that runs above 30 FPS with very nice graphics and without framerate drops.
Acquiring 8 prisine livers to clear my 1 star guild quests was the most painful quest to date... I came close to breaking my phone... I must learn to craft more sonic bombs aparently
Very true...but skills like let's say AtkUp or this kind of stuff where your playstyle doesnt change that much wouldnt hurt, would it? Or do you suggest to go the "the more expensive, the better" route from the beginning? I'm at 3/5 for my Kut Ku D Gunner set just for the ElementUp AtkUp RecSpd Skills so my bow hits harder and make killing bosses slightly faster. The Daimyo Set is also available but I don't see any cruical advantages why I should buy it :/
Screamers+Bomb Materials... But you probably already know that 8 Goldenfish is the most difficult mission ever.
I already knew i was going to buy this when i learned it does work on an ipod 16gb, it was just a matter of time. I have the money, i only need a PC now. Sadly, thats either going to be in 3 weeks or if i'm lucky tommorow. Having played both MH3 on Wii and MH3U on 3ds i just can't wait to get started.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good Let's Play series that would get me going in the right direction? I've never played one of these games so I have no clue what I'm doing.
I'm sure there are a ton on youtube since this game has been out on a few platforms. I just made a beginner vid with one of the grandma quests if you want to check that out. I don't have any commentary, but I might consider it if people are interested in having guidance during gameplay. I try to edit them down to keep the videos short and to the point, otherwise these can get into the 30+ minute range on simple tasks. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Is anyone else experiencing an issue on the iPad where the app completely resets every time you switch out of it or put the iPad on standby? On the iPhone it works fine, app pauses itself if I take a call or hit the home button and I can pick up where I left off. But having to reload from my last save on the iPad every time I need to check email is a royal pain. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Using iPad Air and iPhone 5s. Already tried a hard reset and deleting and redownloading the app. Thanks.
