TBH I don't understand the question - it should be asking you if you want to save after every mission? If you're back in the menu and just want to make sure, go Finish Training > Exit School and walk to your house. You can save at your bed there.
You can always go back. As you progress through the story, you'll also unlock more (non-beginner) training quests in the training school. You can't save in the middle of a quest, but if you're in the menu in the training school you're free to do whatever you want.

You rly don't need to activate the line of sight on a bow except you want to shoot from a platform or smth else where the enemy can't hit you. Usually just shoot without it activated 3(!) hops away from your target to activate the 1.5x multiplier (or near the enemy for 1.0x) in addition to charge Lv2 at minimum to get 1.0x dmg output. If you use Rapid you will fire 3 arrows horizontaly at once which will leave some room to hit the target. Don't shoot from too far away cause it will lower your damage significantly. Also Charge Lv1 (which means you just tap the button) is only 0.4x dmg so try to get it up to Lv2. Rapid (horizontaly) for groups and smaller mobs Scatter (verticaly) for high bosses and also to reach high targets (example: head) which aren't reachable for melee attacks Pierce (hits target for several times) for long bosses Bow is an incredible deep weapon (especially the math to calculate dmg output) with much mobility and high usability, especially in a group (paralyze, anyone?). Sure, you wont get skyhigh dmg outputs but you don't have to risk to get personal with bosses and can kill them >safely<. Tigrex will still be freaking hard with bow xD
Anyone willing to give me their opinion of the Giaprey armor set? Worth crafting early into the game? And what does it mean when a piece of armor states a class such as Blademaster or Gunner?
I crafted it early. Works pretty well, I'm still using it but Im probably going to upgrade to the equivalent set made from carving materials of the raptor-creatures in the desert level, since the stats of that set are just about a straight upgrade I think.
I've fully equipped the blademaster set of Giaprey armor. Not the actual Giaprey Body or Head set, but the easier to obtain set. The blademaster set is to be used with weapons that don't shoot, whereas the gunner set is for the weapons that do shoot. I mainly use Hunting Horn and Hammer right now. I hope it was worth crafting. My defense is pretty high after getting the full set and improving it all to level 2 or 3.
Until now i enjoy this game (best on the Appstore by far) and i hope Capcom to port one day Monster Hunter 3U for iOS!
Had my first 4 player co op experience last night, fully random, and it was a blast... Took down several 2 star quests and one 3. I just gotta get some mats now to make me some weapons.. What is the a giadrome claw + on the creation screen, I've seen other items that require the + versions and I'm unsure of those
MH too Hard: Read Here As someone who has bought this game multiple times. Raged quit several times. Broke a PSP 'accidentally'. I found the best thing about this game is the research you need to do. This game is about making YOU the Hunter and improving YOUR skills at the game. The game doesn't get easier as you move through the maps but yours skills do. This is the greatest reward IMHO. I found this guide one of the best to follow to figure out WTF is going on: http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/55394 It's for the PSP version and can be a lengthy read but the bits and pieces you'll glean from it give you a great context in what to look for in the monsters 'tell' for when it's captured, upgrade guide for items, and overall usefulness. What to Cut and Where on a boss: http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/53725 Read that when you get to that stage hunting for a weapon you think is neat. It'll save you time and hair loss. Starting map and gathering guide: http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/943356-monster-hunter-freedom-unite/faqs/57206 Use that to get your bearings and learn where everything is. Master the starting zone before moving on. Seriously do not rush this game it will only get massively harder if you burn through every area with reckless abandon. Patience, perseverance, and research and you'll be in this game for hundreds of hours. I'm rusty as hell and now back relearning how much I missed the Hammer vs. GS at later levels.
Is the Option Menu only for MFI controller? I don't see any other options, and I can't find where to change camera settings.
I believe this is the third time this question has been popped in this thread. I guess that's the risk of using a firmware that isnt officially supported yet.
