I had this same issue, the game for some reason kills access to the mic, so Display Recorder can't pick up game audio.
Oh NO NO NO NO NO!! That's not what I meant at ALL! I'm so sorry. I wrote that wrong. What I meant was, if I had a friend or family member gift it to me, would it install on my ipad. I didn't mean I wanted someone on the boards to do it. I am so sorry. I am not one of those people. I'm going to edit the post now.
Yup. I have my brightness at maybe 20-25% on my iPhone 5S and every time I play this game, my phone gets hotter than I've ever felt it get playing any other game. The closest other might be Injustice. But I guess it's the price we pay for playing something so graphically rich on a small iDevice.
You can just buy it using itunes pc and download it to the pc. After that just navigate to ipa and installed it using ifunbox.
What weapons are you guys using?? I'm liking GS so far, but wouldn't mind trying out GH or LS. Too bad for no switch-axe, I loved the speed and power of those in MH3U.
Any chance there are pickaxes stronger than iron? I've having to buy a stack at a time to mine during one quest since they break so often.
I've been using, creating, and upgrading Hunting Horns. I like their moves, swing timing, ability to dodge right after swinging, AND I get to play music that raises stats! I'm trying the Hammer out for a quest or two and have enjoyed it, but I think I'll be sticking with the HH.
I forgot about the Hunting Horn! I will have to try that later. One thing about this game is you really can only invest in one or two weapon types, given the rarity of some upgrade materials. Can HH cut tails/break body parts?
If you have it for the Wii U I'd recommend you getting it. The 3U version is more refined in terms of combat, graphics and beginner friendliness. However, as far as content goes, nothing comes close to this game. If you enjoy Dark Souls, but instead of killing humanoids you kill monsters then this is for you. It is not an easy game, but once you get the basics of it, then you're in for a treat.
Sonic bombs, lots of it. Or you can get a Hunting Horn with the "shockwave" effect, play that and plops the Cephalos out of the sand.
Been reading all the pages of this forum and evaluating if I should buy the game. Impressed with the contents but worried about the time commitment part. How's the graphic of the game? Something like infinity blade? Or comparable to what ios game?
Yeah, I'd say it's as pretty as the Infinity Blade series. But with the gameplay, music, and town environment, I'd say this game has me hooked. Way more addicting and strategic that Infinity Blade.
If you don't have enough time to commit to playing a mobile game, I'd recommend not getting this and just enjoying the console versions of the Monster Hunter series. I've put in around 15 hours (recovering from surgery this week) and I've barely scratched the surface. RPGs like Dragon Quest VIII take tons of time too. And I've put 25 hours into that. For me, my iPhone and iPad are my consoles. But if you'd rather play a legit console, then stick with the MH games on that. Otherwise, if you do play this, it sounds like you'd barely have enough time to finish one quest a day. And that wouldn't be worth it unless you played every day for a long time.
How long should it take usually to beat the first 1 star quest? I took me a ton of time and it seemed like it should be that long
About fifteen minutes if you stop to kill a few of the larger non-hostile beasts on the way, I'd say. Everything is located in most of the ice-zones, or any patch of herbs, so they're pretty easy to collect, and most spots give you at least two or three herbs. Edit: That is as a brand new player that has to get used to the controls and whatnot, though. Personally, took me less than ten.
Um I don't know what quest your talking about lol. I'm talking about the first quest you do after the tutorial. You have to kill a diadrome or something Edit: it's called A True Foe - The Diadrome!
