It's said that it works but you need ifunbox to install it.

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
Yeah it works fine for me (I also have an iPad 2).
You have to download it via ifunbox though because the App Store won't let you buy it for the older gens.

Yes it can. Someone has asked the same question on this thread
    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=234939
And has been able to install it successfully on his ipad following the step posted on there.

Cool! Does my ipad need to be jail broken

Could someone also gift it to me?

    *EDIT*

I worded that last part HORRIBLY. What I meant was, would a friend of family member be able to gift the game to me, and I'd be able to install it on my ipad, or would I still need ifunbox?

Sorry for the poorly thought out question.

No, you don't need to be jailbroken

It's £10.49, not 69p. Good luck with that one.

Ok so I'm on the fence about getting this game. I've been considering it since Thursday and haven't reached a conclusion yet.

Could somebody give me some pros and cons about the game? I don't feel like reading through 199 pages right now lol.

This looks like something I would enjoy (never played a monster hunter game before) my problem is that the time that I have to play games on my phone is very small. Usually I'm either at work or at home. At work I can't play except at break, and at home I will almost always choose to play something on my consoles or PC instead of sitting on the couch and playing a mobile game.
However! I love games like this, love RPGs, like the monster hunting angle, but I just don't know about the time commitment... I would hate to spend $15 on a game I don't end up playing. Most games I buy on ios get played for about a week and then I generally don't touch them again. Maybe this game could change that I don't know.
Or should I get the Monster Hunter game for Wii U? (yes I have one lol)

Sorry for the long post! Thanks!

Well, I mean when your health is already full, what do you consume to make the health bar grow longer? I have full health, ate a steak the Felynes made me, and it didn't make my health bar grow longer. Whereas, when I eat rations with a full stamina bar, it makes my stamina bar grow longer and eventually get to the full length of the screen. Is there an item that will do that for health?

Thanks! I'll have to try those combos. I just tried eating meat from the Felynes and it acted like it would just fill the health bar I have and not make it longer. I'll try combining stuff now.

LOL yeah... The cephadrome doesnt look like a good design, but hey, this was before Tri. Hapurubokka in MHP3 looks really menacing, but actually it looks just like a really bloated cephadrome. :D

Dude... Ancient pots and Max pots will increase your HP total to a max of 150, when you normally have 100 without those.

I had to choose GS. Using duals is a suicide, they bounce off the monster all the time, and even with the demon mode combo they don't deal that much damage compared with the GS.

I'll try doing the Dual Rajang with a bow, but i dont have much bow experience on the iOS version, even though bows are my favorite ranged weapon on the PSP.

I dont recommend bowing down King Shaka, but im sure you want to. He's got a low HP total, so it should be doable. With the camera lockon, im sure it wont be that bad aiming to hit the little bugger.

Too bad that captured monsters can't be used as a mount or something :(

I was never able to get used to the bow controls in the PSP version but here, easy peasy. I think I'll try to soloing the game with a bow only. Hard times lie ahead of me I know, but it's too much fun to kill bosses this way.

I don't have a jailbroken phone. Is it still possible to backup the save file? Like TA raised in their podcast, I'd hate to put hundreds if not thousands of hours into it then have my phone die/file corrupt/whatever... tempted to hold off otherwise, until Cloud saves are added. Anyone hear anything on that matter yet?

It's already been said about 20x in this thread, yes you can backup your save even if you're not jailbroken. Use ifunbox or iTools.

on another note, I just played for 18-22 mins and did a training quest but I noticed my ipad was getting rather hot. Anyone else getting this?
