wow, that's fantastic news, thanks! out of curiosity, is there any public page you're getting this from? i've been following the neogaf page since the beginning (it's been a blast to read comment after comment of "iOS sucks i hope this fails miserably") but it seems to've gone silent
i haven't devoted at least 3-5 hours of my day looking around for other sources of information for almost a full 24 hours now, which is an unusual break in pattern for me since the release of this port

I talked to MHVuze, we exchanged some information regarding the patch, he shared it with me to test. Currently it’s for jailbroken devices (Cydia package) because Vuze did not know that one can alter .ipa’s resources. There is nothing that stops it from working on non-jailbroken devices. But Vuze wants it to be automated so I guess it will take some time. Please don’t bug him, he knows what he’s doing.

Thats awesome. Thanks again for the update. I swear i've probably been giving neogaf, toucharcade and monsterhunterforum their most traffic the last 3 days.

My dream come true. Truly. Thank you Capcom.

Ok so my most favorite game ever has finally arrived on my Ipad Mini Retina.
I have logged more than 2700+ hours in the games on all systems since inception. For those of you who are not familiar this game, just know that we have been blessed with one of the deepest and most immerse games on the planet. You can easily spend upwards to 100 hours just getting a feel for the game. And, that would be if you are just learning one weapon type!

I got the game and am playing using a SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Controller I bought this from the Apple Store and it works amazing. I'm giddy for this version, but would be ecstatic for it in English like most of us here. I have taken a look at the files via i-funbox and the English files are indeed there.
I am NOT jail-broken. I believe replacing the files would probably be easy using this method. And, you don't need a jailbreak to do it.

Monster Hunter is more than a game, it's a phenomenon. You will do well in this game if you look at it more like a 'Hunting Simulation'. In that, this game will be kicking your ass almost continuously until you get past the learning curve. But, the rewards are well worth it. It is a totally skill based game. Having the best weapon and equipment means little in this game. You must treat each mission like you are actually going hunting. 90% preparation 10% execution. Each monster has it's own personality and ecology that you have to consider before even taking the mission. There is no story per se. This is the essence of a hunting sim. It is Jurassic Park without magic and fireballs and a princess. If you can wrap your head around this, you will see that this is one of the best things to ever happen on the IOS platform.

And, all of this is why people are so excited right now to be getting this game. Monster Hunter will be a gamechanger for both Capcom and for Apple. This game has the power to change how people view ios devices for gaming.
This game in particular brings the 'hardcore' to gaming for i-devices. Atm, there is no game more hardcore than this one. Period.

    So, there you have it.
My tribute and thank you to Capcom for opening up their game to our platform. And, they didnt just 'port' the game. They made it better.

    Buy it.

Yeah, but unless there is an idiot-proof English full translation patch which doesn't require jailbreaking, I have to wait for the official English version.
My poor nerves, where should I get that mountain of patience I need?

Purchased only 2 games from the past 2 weeks, havent even loaded Darkin yet.

    The power of Monster Hunter.

In all honesty, with all the time it has eaten (the iOS version alone), and all the money it has saved me from buying more apps, this is the cheapest $25 i spent since a long time ago.

Guys start talking crap about this game... the more good things I hear about it the more jealous I get! My favorite types of games are RPGs, action, and collection types. This is like all of them combined. I doubt an English version will be coming very soon but probably eventually. Probably when we've all forgotten about it..

Im a little worried that all my progress now will have to be reset when the english version gets released.|

I mean all the time i put here now shouldnt be for naught. I already am starting this when i have a savefile on my PSP that has never been opened for about a year now, but my last MHFU game was from 4 years ago coz i switched to MHP3 by then.

Maybe you'll be able to use iFunbox or something like that to back up the save from the Japanese version and put it in the English one. Since both apps will be pretty much the same it shouldn't give you any problems.

A game like this is asking for iCloud support though.
