Lack of iPad support doesn't stop me either, since I don't use my iPad for gaming. As for a game being "awesome looking," I take it you don't mean that literally, as pixel doubled never looks awesome, at least in my book.
Sure, but at least throw a couple of @2x elements in there (heck, even the menu!) to pretty it up. I mean, how difficult can that be?
lol... I wish I knew! Some of my favourite games/apps are still not retina native so I'm holding back on buying a new phone. But, consider this, many of Gameloft's games are coming out, only now, retina native...after how many months? Trust me, it can be a real headache in boosting something that is seemingly innocent such as the resolution. For small indie developers, time to do that is just not so easily available if it isn't their full-time career.
Sounds like your talking about Pix'n Love Rush. Alot of games fall into that category. Being a casual gamer, I like a game you can pick up for 15 minutes and forget about everything else.
Here a some pics from my iPhone 4. I think it looks pretty good in motion on the iPhone 4. EDIT: Do TIMG tags not work on this forum?
I meant "fun" looking I have been a gamer for more than 30 years owning pretty much every game machine ever released and while I love good graphics....... the fun factor, gameplay, control...etc is the most important thing to me and in the end and that's what keeps me coming back for more. Graphics only satisfy for a short time if that's all that is there.
...I had to read this a few times, thinking, damn, is he talking about the game, or relationships?...
