    Initial Thoughts:

    The game is fun, so far, but I'm a little turned off due to the 'levels' basically requiring you to spend gold in order to complete them. At the early stages of the game, for me at least, my guys don't have nearly enough power to complete these stages alone. Theres also no option to redo previous stages to gain extra experience other than the dungeons which cost gold to go in to and eventually run out. The amount of gold you receive from dungeons isn't really on par with what you are required (maybe if you buy packs it's not that bad, but if you are free to play it's much more difficult) to spend in order to progress. I realize you get gold from town but it's just another time sink.

    I don't mind the resource system at all, though I can imagine when you are higher level it will be awfully boring to wait for hearts, but that's what these games are. I don't think the tutorial really spells out what specific combos you can create. Even I'm still having trouble with this, though it's getting better.

    One thing I really don't like is that sometimes I'll double click too quick and pick the wrong monster/hero/group that I'm trying to select cause it picks. I also get irritated when I'm waiting for them to 'get in the ship' but when i want to click on the resource I click the boat and it asks me 20 times if I want to speed it up.

    I wish there was more ways to get the better summons without spending so much cash. I'm interested in spending money and the large amount of 'decent' summons is mighty appealing but I don't have that much money to drop on it just yet. You'll likely get more of my money in the future :)

    Overall I am enjoying it. I think it has a lot of potential. My question is if we spend money now will our progress be erased when it hits global or is this our account regardless? Thanks for the promo code. I'll let you know as I progress further how much I like it :)

    I've spent about an hour with the game and from what I've seen so far I predict this will be a hit for you! Its extremely fun and addictive as these games are built to be. Everything feels polished with just a few snags, like sometimes while building your ship it will lag a bit and cause me to pick a unit I hadn't intended, not every time but enough it was annoying. I like the flow of the game and how alive the kingdom feels with all the cutiezens running around.
    Like mentioned previously it does seem a bit tough to finish battles when you first start out, before you have enough resources to level your characters. And I REALLY wish it was possible to replay levels for exp and gold. So far that's my biggest complaint.
    It really is a fun game and even with these things it's still completely playable. The energy system doesn't bother me, I'm so used to it now, and it's integrated a bit differently so it doesn't feel stale.
    I did want to mention that there does seem to be a typo at the beginning when the king is talking to you, it says "tought" instead of "thought". At least I think so, I can't go back and double check lol but you might check it out.

    So anyway, love the game! Just a few nits to pick but overall it's been great fun so far. I'll let you know more as I keep playing through. :)

    And I totally want a cat tree, it's the most adorable thing. Ever.

    Thanks a lot for the already precious inputs!
    We're stoked from the positive reactions, it might sound naive but positive feedbacks are always a joy to hear. Especially after having been in the dark for so many months :)

    Now on the not so positive issues :
    - Boats Construction: we've been wondering about this for a few weeks now, we're going to optimize and accelerate the flow of construction but it's still a chore mechanic feature and we might not be ready to refactor it yet. I would appreciate to know if the feature is still bugging you after a few days
    - Boat Menus: also an issue we've been having for months, but I'm just out of a meeting and you gave us motivation to dig further. We should be able to improve that in the next version. It's unacceptable in any case.
    - Gold Need: we're going to change that server side, indeed the first minutes can be a bit too greedy resource-wise.
    - Difficulty: same here, we're going to change that server side.
    - Progression: No reset planned so all progress and purchases should be there to stay. And if something bad should happen you know have a direct line to me so you can harass me plenty :)
    - Social features: chat, league and a better pvp are all coming in the next update

    Thanks again for all the feedbacks already, don't hesitate to drop more or invite other people.
    It really helps us focus on the user experience to make the game as good as possible

    Are you allowing people who test it to have region codes so they can make purchases?

    My initial thoughts on M&C

    Hello guys! I'm posting this because of the fast response I got from the devs for M&C!
    I asked for a promo code earlier yesterday and was given one almost immediately via PM. Have tried out the game for almost close to an hour and oh boy, I'm having so much fun with it! M&C was featured on TouchArcade's main page and the hilariously vibrant graphics almost immediately caught my attention.

    I'm a huge fan of medieval themed games and OhBiBi has recreated an appealing universe of warriors as well as beastly monsters which I will talk more in just abit ! I adore the gameplay of Monster&Commanders and I'll say the concept of this game is one of its kind. It's a close mix of Knights&Dragon + Crusader's Quest done brilliantly.

    Let's go over my initial impression of the game:

    Overall Feel
    I'm loving the graphics and the fluidity of the game. It's easy to navigate in the main page of the game. You can either scroll left to your buildings and research features, or scroll right to get ready for combat. I love how the devs merged a 3D world in a 2D interface. The graphics for the game is rather high-end as well. I believe the devs used Metal for the game as well. The audio and voice-over utilized in the game is well-crafted, which goes hand in hand with quirky dialogues made by King Bakon, your 'tutorial guide' to the game. He'll make sure you'll get used to the UI in the game and bring you up to speed in no time to build a boat full of troops for your very first battle.

    Gameplay
    1) Building Feature
    The gameplay features several key mechanisms we are very familiar with.
    - Building system, the one like Clash of Clans, in order to get resources like gold and gem.
    - Research centre with various upgrades to improve troop training time
    - Troop upgrades where items are needed to strengthen troops
    These are all time-based where players can choose to use gem to quicken the process.

    2) Troop Feature
    - You'll get to craft your very first boat at the start. M&C creates an ingenious system of troop creation where you'll have to load your ship with
    1) Troops
    2) A Monster
    3) A Hero
    A time element is added to load these troops onto the boat, just like how do it in Boom Beach. Only thing, you'll have to manually load up each them up individually. It's a hassle at first, but here's the catch. Each troop, monster and hero you load up have different elements and troop types. Just like how Fire beats Spirit & Spirit beats Earth in Knights and Dragons, M&C has its own unique elemental system where 4 main elements with 3 sub-elements each can be played. Monster and Heroes have special abilities such as healer or attacker to cater to your assault.

    The game uses a * system to denote the power of your units. This is similar to crusader's quest where a 1* hero can be upgraded to 2* and so on.

    Additionally, every unit has a POW (power) rating. Add 1, 2 and 3 up and you'll get the Power for the boat.

    Enough with the troops. Let's get on to my favourite part of the game.

    Battle
    The gameplay mechanism for the battle in this game follows the ones like Heroes Charge or League of Angels, but with a twist.
    Troops will be controlled by AI where they will charge forward and attack. But here's the best part. You get to control your hero + Monster. Every few seconds, an attack block would be generated for your hero. But unlike Crusader's quest, you do not need to match the blocks. Ohbibi has done a marvellous, if not splendid job in giving the user controllability by allow us to target the enemy with our attack block. This gives you full control of the battle where you can either choose to target the enemy troops, or directly hit the enemy hero. The outcome of the battle is very much determined by you. Nicely done Ohbibi!

    I understand most mobile games have to put restrictions for playtime and M&C uses a heart system. Everytime you load up troops, monster and heroes onto your ship, it costs you a number of hearts, which regenerates every 3 minutes. So far, I am comfortable with the number of hearts I have because of my constant level ups which refills my hearts to the max. I would have to play further to see how restrictive will this be and how comfortable am I at refilling the hearts for me to continue playing.

    At this juncture, I can comfortably say that this game has got me hooked on so quickly. I will continue to test the game and input my feedbacks on it as I go further here on.     The only other issue I've found is that even with the sound and music muted at the end of a stage/battle the victory music still plays. It's a little crazy when I'm playing in bed and suddenly it plays even though I muted it :) If you can't reproduce it I use a Bluetooth speaker and even when my phone is on silent and the sound I game is muted it still plays. Thanks otherwise still having a blast!

    We haven't yet (I don't know why but they're not available yet on iTunes Connect), as soon as I have them I'll try and distribute them.
    We have a whole new island for old users, we revamped the arena reward and progression system quite a bit and made the collection much much more interesting! Plus a few tweaks and balancing optim!

    Should we just post issues we have here or do you have a website or email we should be sending them to?

    I ask because I was saving my gold and had about 90k and then finished the daily mission to get the free guy for new players. My inventory was full so I wanted to buy more space at 20k gold. I pressed it multiple times but it wouldn't work. I finally had to just sell the guy cause it wouldn't let me buy it. When I got back out all my money was gone except for the amount that I sold the guy for. Not sure if I spent it accidentally but it was really weird.

    I didn't use it to speed up any process... I didn't use it to start any new research. The only thing j can think of is the mission cost 90k to start, which j doubt?

    Still having fun though! When is next update? Hopefully the victory sound is fixed soon :)

    It won't fix all these bugs but brings major changes to the Arena and Collection :)

    Just to keep you posted, we've released a major patch on the 1.1.8 version yesterday making building ships less annoying and fixing tons of feedback from Diverge (thanks a lot again for the feedback Diverge, I've copy-pasted his comments below for those who are interested).

    Content of the patch:

    - Increase Refill Heart (1/min)
    - Units Heart Cost decreased (almost by 33%)
    - Units Production time greatly reduced (never more than 18 secs, before : 120secs)
    - Player XP => much easier to level up (especially on the first 20 levels)
    - Units XP => much easier to get to level 10 (1 star units only)
    - Gems income through the Daily Login
    - Rainbow Gacha Rework (now 3 cards from 3-6 stars, 1 hero + 1 beast + 1 squad)
    - Gold Mine Buffed (Collect time to 1H instead of 3H + more gold gained on low levels)
    - More Evo Mat in the First Castles (to promote a 1 star unit easily)
    - Dungeons are easier on island 1 (to match Island 1 difficulty reduction)
    - New Event Vlad Keys added

    Thanks again to all the people who have been playing and feedbacking the game!

    Okay I'll just tell you here first I'm on my phone so please excuse errors


    I like this game a lot but I feel progression is very difficult. Currently I've only spent like $1 but I want to spend more. The issue is I cannot justify it. When I reached enough gems to get the rainbow pod it was quick lackluster. I literally recieved six or seven squads - only one of which was useful. I realize it's a gamble but it didn't leave me feeling like I wanted to save again immediately or spend money to obtain better units.

    The issue is that progression is very slow unless you purchase multiple pods or get lucky. It's a long up-hill battle to level your monsters/squads/heroes to upgrade them at max level. Currently if you are stuck on a stage you can't beat you are literally stuck there until you can out level it. It's concerning. I realize you can go back to older stages and beat them more but it's at the cost of gold - which isn't "easy" to get.

    I have only upgraded one unit from 1->2 because the amount of exp you earn is very small. Also there is nothing motivating me to level those guys because they cost just as many hearts to use as my better guys. So, in reality it's going to cost me more time to level old guys then attempt to plow through with teams with no synergy. The amount of exp you get through fusion is hardly worth it either in my opinion. I realize you are here to make money but it's hard to justify spending money when if you don't get 4-5 stars it's a complete waste and makes you feel empty. Especially when you aren't getting heroes.

    I also find it very frustrating that I need to spend 10-11 hearts to make a team only for them to die at the last stage and be required to use a back-up team that cost me just as much (if not more sometimes). I know you can upgrade to reduce hearts - I'm almost at the point to reduce by two for humans - but it's still frustrating as a new person to be up against this. 20 hearts takes a long time to generate and when you have to beat 5-8 stages to beat one level you are talking 1-1.5 levels a day if you are doing amazing.

    The other issue is the amount you must spend to try the stages again. If your team loses at least stage and you have to spend 3500 gold to try again but earn 4000 it's like meh that wasn't with it now I gotta wait forever.

    If the stages weren't 5-6 waves and/or gave amazing rewards it'd be worth it. Or allow us to redo stages to earn more rewards and not have to spend the gold we receive from winning to search.

    The arena is fun but since it uses the same resource you are left deciding if you want to progress in that or pve. It's frustrating because I like doing both but I can't do both 100%. I wish there was an alternate resource that you could just create a team and be able to use it in arena at the cost of an alternate resource that generates on its own.

    I wish there were more opportunities to earn gems as well. Through in-game ads or dailies that allow you to earn more hearts /gems / gold.

    Like I said, even with this stuff I like the game a lot and want to play it but i get frustrated having to decide between pve/pvp and having to spend so many resources to beat stages

    I think the pvp update was a good start but the rainbow pod costing 500 seems quite high especially given that the other rewards for arena are lackluster unless you are 1st place. There is no real incentive for people to try to get super high as its either top 20 or bust. Every rank should earn skmething. Top 500 should easily win like 100-200 gems. L I won 80 gems the other day and it didn't really phase me. I like to pvp to pvp but the rewards should coincide with the effort. I'm hoping they are just smaller cause the American server is smaller.

    Are the rankings messed up? I see myself as 3rd but it tells me I'm 10th.

    Antways love the game I would love more opportunities to earn better units instead of having to pay to get the chance to get them. Are IAP the only source of income? No ads?

    Awesome changes! One request though... I just spent 499 gems on a pod by accident (was trying to save to 999). Please add some sort of confirmation dialog window in the future? It's sad that I have to wait now and I'm assuming those that spend money won't be happy with sloppy fingers. I was navigating through the packs (after reading this thread was looking at 999 pod rewards) and went left and accidentally tapped it.

    I got one of the 4-5 arena packs and was happy with the reward. I'm trying hard to stay in first place but there is some stiff competition!

    Is there a glitch with mail now? It says I have a message but nothing happens when I click it.

    I like the Vlad dungeon as we can continuously go there for exp and keys! However my count was reset and though j an number two my number is not increasing anymore? Any ideas? My individual count was reset and no longer counts the original 2565 I earned. Which, on the leader board is not counting my new keys earned. Help please? :)

    I was confused as to why my gold suddenly vanished and then I realized Vlad cost 25k now? Not sure if it's intended but that's pretty steep. Also, I'm still bugged and my current score isn't adding to my total... And my mailbox is broke. Let me know if you need anything from me :)

    Sorry about the Vlad dungeon, it's our first ranked event and it had its share of issues. Hoping everything will be ironed out in the next event!
