Based on what the devs have said, it shouldn't be long now, but it isn't impossible to come across bad bugs in the late stages of development. Fingers crossed!
Foursaken Media, question for you 4 brothers: Did you ever play or see Street Figter Puzzle for Playstation 1? It had a interesting automated option where you take your favorite fighter and go into the automated fight mode where you have no control of your fighter, the computer controls your fighter based on your equipment on the fighter. It was a very fun (and would be a very mobile friendly) game play mode and also easily balanced. We could take our favorite monsters and equip them with behavior altering items/fighting techniques and challenge others monsters even if they are offline, and we could be challenged even when we are offline.
Yep Not familiar with that game, but it sounds interesting. Not sure about something like this really happening, but we'll keep it on the list of ideas! On a similar note (ie ease of play), we are trying to do something a little "different" with the one-touch tap controls... basically trying to offer maximum control - including advanced move and attack maneuverability - with just one finger... hope we can get it to work out! But don't worry... we'll still be including the default dual stick setup... we're well aware of how "innovative new control schemes" can be hit or miss, and are really just personal preference when it comes down to it
Foursaken Media:just some food for thought and some reading material - The specific Street Fighter game I am referring to is "Pocket Fighter/Super Gem Fighter" - just for your info you can you tube it to get a feel for the art style and you can see many great pictures in google images as well. The one thing I will never forget about that game is being able to take any favorite fighter and having them go to the time trial or survival etc. and watch the computer play my hero based on the equipment I put on them. For example offensive or defensive, technical, good at specific skills or combos, and prefer certain action during certain enemy actions. You could really tweak your fighters behavior and then try to accomplish more. It was so fun to do because you could be "playing" in a way while both of your hands were free to do other things. There was quite a "RPG" and addictive element to it. I did a bit of research and from a financial standpoint, the best "selling" game genres are 1. action 2. sports 3. shooters and 4. family/RPG This article had a interesting breakdown of top selling game ganres and some interesting gaming facts: (or just google "top selling game genres" and its the 3rd link for gamezarena.com http://www.gamezarena.com/articles/gaming-statistics.php
Good job Foursaken! This 'different' control scheme sounds pretty good so by 'special moves' and such, do you mean that if swiped towards an enemy it would make my monster dash towards an enemy or something?
This is why I love you guys. You always include plenty of control options since it's really up to each individual's personal preference. Any more news on the game?
*sigh*... a proposal and no answer. Hey, Foursaken! How a bout 1-2 new screenshots to make this thread even more sexy?
I'll try to get some screens tomorrow... I'll be gone for 3 weeks after that though, so just a heads up on the impending lack of updates. Well, you don't really have a party... its more about customizing your individual monsters. You can create a team of 3 monsters, but you don't use them all at once. You fight with 1 after another in the Coliseum, against other teams of monsters (very important to choose the right monsters to counter your opponents). Lots of RPG elements though, in terms of character development, skills, "dungeon" crawling, etc.
Any chance at any kind of gameplay video? I'm torn between getting Warhammer Quest or saving my $$ and MBs for this. If I get Quest, I won't be able to get Monster Adventures so gameplay would be nice to help make a decision
If you can, I'd try waiting a few weeks before deciding - that gives Foursaken Media a chance to share more info when they can, plus you'll be able to see reviews of Warhammer Quest while you wait. Also, keep in mind that no solid release date has been set - so if you do end up going for WQ instead, it's possible by the time this hits the App Store you'll have more $$ and MB to spare.
