Man you can't fault these guys for lacking variety in their catalogue. Cracking game. This might be on my phone for a while
This game is so amazing. I am currently a Level 3 just learned energy shot and have been playing for 1 hour. Also why is there no one online): I wanna quest with you guys!
Actually there definitely IS a story... a real story, mind you. It might not be apparent in the beginning because the mayor gives you simple, none specific tasks like "represent the town in the Monster Games". But as you progress, you get more and more specific objectives and talk to more and more people that progress the story. You'll uncover more about who your character is, you'll uncover an overarching "bad guy", etc. There is a legit ending with real closure, including an end game boss In our playthroughs if you continue down the story from start to finish it'll take somewhere between 12-20 hours, depending on the player. One of the things we love about Monster Adventures is that you could theoretically play the game with as much or as little story as you want... or you can progress through it at completely your own pace, because there is also the coliseum on the side.
Great to hear! I'm early in the game and was actually worried that it may just be driven by repetitive little tasks. Anxious to get further in where things develop more.
Uh oh... Foursaken, Ipad 4th generation... No other apps open... #1 with the speed special ability on, today I have had my monster get stuck in another room than what I'm actually walking in to... I can spawn blobs and they take care of the monsters, but I am unable to walk into the room... When all monsters are gone, i start walking and snap into the room adjacent to the room we just "conquered" #2 I had been making decent progess, captured a couple of boss monsters, some new ones in the .... Making some real progress.... Second dungeon? Deeper in the wilderness?... And as I pulled up the menu, CRASH. I've had 3 crashes since last night, unrelated.. I weeped a little on the inside guys
Sales must be through the roof! I can't purchase the game. The timer just keeps on spinning and not doing anything!
How do I get another monster? If I catch a boss am I capturing it's essence or am I capturing a playable monster? By the way FM, I already bought $4 worth of IAP. I love how you guys do your IAP model in your games. Totally optional but irresistible. I couldn't help myself. =) Lastly, why does Apple release games on Wednesdays? It's releases like this I wish apps were released on Friday so I have the weekend to play. Now I'm going to be at work all day today staring at my phone on my desk and resisting the urge to pick it up. This is going to be a tough day for me....
Funny, that was what surprised me to based on the impressions I got from watching the teaser trailers and pre-release press. Was expecting some more bug heroes x zelda, but it plays a lot more like H&C.
Hi there, is the pvp working? I am trying to get an auto match the whole day and wasn't successfully. Taking a look at the leaderboard only 4 people manage to get some points. Is the automatch working? Please advise Also, I am using iPhone 5 ios7 and I played till lvl 18 and total crashed 3 times. Hmmm not sure why as my phone should be more than capable to run this game.
Do we ever get a 2nd monster? That way when I get the parts I want I can build them with specified stats gained on levelups
Interesting... not seeing much H&C in the game It will likely take a few days to gather a large enough user base to reliably get multiplayer games... Sometimes there is a lag between scores logging into the leaderboards as well. As for crashing, your device is definitely not the issue! We're looking into all reports of crashing, so if you know what you were doing when it crashed, please let us know. Also if you could send us your crash logs to [email protected], that would be a hug help as well! How to retrieve crash logs: http://www.ondemandworld.com/how-to-find-crash-logs/ Yep! You can actually get unlimitted Monsters, but you'll find your 2nd one during one of the story quests into the cliffs.
Is there a way to heal up the monster faster while in town other than the fountain? Coz it feels like a timer to me, when im waiting for it to fill up before doing any missions.
Finally got the game. Am rather disappointed to be honest. The game does a poor job of explaining the interface. Like, extremely poor. 1) the first time i entered the wilds, a tooltip came up but i was immediately besieged by monsters so had to move my bloke away. Unfortunately that closed the tooltip and i have no idea what was said. 2) buying essence should be more informative. I bought an essence thinking i can then equip it as and when i like. Wrong. Unless you pick which part you want to buy, it ends up in your inventory as a consumable item. 3) the icons at the top left corner shows what exactly? One is for money and the other? Holding my finger over the icon doesn't bring up any tooltip because this game has none. 4) i have no idea how many blobs of each type i have collected so far because there is no quest indicator showing how many blobs i still need. Only way is to go back to the ability guy and find out. 5) controls are horrible. The skill icons are on the top right and you have to swipe to dash. Why can't i double tap on the stick to dash or have the skill icons next to the attack button? 6) auto aim doesn't seem to work when i am using the net. You would think an option named "auto aim" would auto aim. 7) the numbers on the enemy blobs. What do they mean? Health bar or % chance of success when netting? 8) healing well cooldown time. Is it that difficult to place a visible timer on it rather than having to read somewhere about it taking "several hours" to replenish? 9) the game penalises you for not buying essence orb early. Unless you buy orbs at lvl 1, you will be missing out on a lot of stats for your monster. It makes the game less fun because you are constantly trying to get enough coins to buy an orb before your next level up. 10) difficult to know where a room boundary is because there are a lot of empty space but when you move towards it, you hit an invisible wall. 11) your monster's health is only visible when you open up a menu. Is there an option to show health bars on my and other monsters?
Can you swap out monsters? I only get the choice of one - the first one I collected. I know I am given a second later but what if I want a different one now - different NOT additional. And do you really have to swiped to dash away while still equipped the dual sticks? It's really awkward to do that. Game is good but it seems to lack the finishing polishes. Maybe I will overlook them as I get into the game but in the beginning you look for the polish first. Seems the beta testers might have rushed a little.
Fruit and fruit plants (you can plant seeds which grow super apples that heal 1000+ hps). Thanks for the feedback! I'll see what I can to reply to each point. 1) You can't close the tooltips manually - they stay open until you complete the listed task (like dashing, or pulling out your net, etc). 2) huh? you can equip an essence. if its in your inventory, its there to equip on a monster when you go into the equip screen. 3) one is for money, the other is for elemental orbs - i believe it goes more into detail on that later, or explains it when you talk to the alchemist. 4) there is an indicator for current quests progress... in the pause menu under objectives and quests (the speech bubble icon) 5) you can customize the controls completely, including moving the icons anywhere you want - check it out in the options! 6) haven't seen this happen before... anyone else? 7) % chance to catch an enemy - I think there was a tooltip about that. 8) we don't want to enforce the notion that it IS a timer... its an EXTRA way to heal up, that we added later on down the road. The primary ways to heal should be buying fruit and planting seeds to grow fruit. 9) you find orbs in the wild as well... also theoretically you should get enough to buy an essence on level 2 or so. 10) can you maybe show some screens? we tried hard to make sure that everything had pretty clear bounding, whether its rocks or trees. 11) huh? your HPs are shown right at the bottom of the screen... Again thanks for the feedback! Please note that I'm not trying to refute your points, just giving my feedback on them and pointing out some things you may have missed. We'll definitely look into making some things more clear though!
