But but... the gameplay and design are so perfect, would be a shame to not run wild with the content/depth/replay-value potential this game has which would make it famous. I understand the reasons for your policy though and will keep my fingers crossed for a sequel if nothing else
Am I the only one having trouble finding random co-op games? Im level 6 and everytime I try finding a game I can never get connected to a user
same for me i even stay in queue for 15 minutes but find nobody :'(( if there's an solution i'll be glad to know it
Well, I find it's hit and miss even connecting with a friend who I've invited specifcally, so I'm not surprised that the matchmaking is even spottier. If you scroll back through the thread the dev explained that it's just a limitation of Game Center and there's not much they can do about it. It's a real shame unfortunately.
I agree, the structure is in place here to produce a really great game if they choose to do so. At the moment it's full of potential but not quite there in terms of ambition, which I guess is always going to be the case when a small team are working on multiple games at the same time.
I haven't seen this working. I have the 70% net and it seems like multiple whiffs still display 70%. I'll fiddle with it more next time I play but pretty sure it never goes passed 70% for me. Also since you're still working on the new patch is it possible to change the color of the fire ring? A lot of us can barely tell the difference between rock and fire monsters.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. Nothing is going to get us "over the hump" and into full-on Premium iOS goodness faster than this mentality... and I would expect no less from the Foursaken boys. DBC
Well, that is always going to be in the eye of the beholder We feel Monster Adventures is already a great, finished product, one that is certainly worth the $1.99 asking price. I hope many people agree As far as a small team working on multiple games, while true, it doesn't impact the development or support of our other games one bit. Yeah we saw your guys' thoughts on that - I'll have to double check if we already did that or not for the next update. Will double check the net effect as well - should be working!
Can't download the update until I hit wifi, but it looks like you listened to a lot of the requests we had. Thanks!!
A lot of people are posting about not being able to play multiplayer. I also can't play global, however, my Bluetooth seems to work pretty well.
I don't think it's working either. I took three swipes on a healer guppy and the percentage always stayed at 70%. I think I caught him on the third or fourth try.
This is a complete product. It is $1.99......... I don't understand. It is worth more than that.... I honestly do not see how you could add to the game without making it "same-y" unless it was new game modes. New essences and abilities would only muddy up the tons already available, I feel... Take the action to a Smash Bros. arena??? THAT could be fun
Ya net effect is locked at 70%. I've swung 4+ times on some mobs, still 70%. And a thought for "expansions" - toss in an iap for 1-3 bucks that opens up a new area with new mobs. Game is definitely feature complete at 2bucks, but I think people would be willing to drop a few more IF they really liked the game and wanted some extra content. I know it's got negatives, lots of them buyer perception, but frankly your reputation is pretty solid and I think carries some extra weight.
This game is very different to the previous titles. I found myself totally lost, just tossing my monster into oblivion over and over again. The very early game is a SERIOUS grind. Also, no-one mentioned that you could stay in one area and 'farm', I only found this out by accident when I answered my phone and left my monster standing in a cleared area. I have no idea how you guys advanced so quickly, it feels like it will take forever to advance. I like the game, I just feel confused at my apparent total lack of progress.
Ouch ... Thanks for the answer . I want to do some pvp! My game center name is Christouphie add me if u guys want to play
To be fair, the entirety of the game is from a certain POV just a serious grind. There is no real structured game here, just a gerbil wheel from starting out with a blank monster to, through repetitive and oft times slow, gameplay unlocking more and more powers and raising monster levels until, ta-da, you finish the gerbil wheel marathon. In other words, you either like this sort of game or you don't - one player's grind is another player's gameplay - and to be further fair, the meta design is pretty much exactly like most of FM game's in that sense with the possible exception of BHQ and the first NYZ. If this one didn't click, it's not that it's too much grind compared to their other titles, it's just you didn't gel with this one's particular grind. Not really sure you can call this farming. Short of using one of the experience gain powers, your monster gains no extra XP for these "bonus" mobs and the coin gain is inconsequential. They're more annoyance than anything else in my experience, just something to slow you down as you backtrack to where the portal is. I'm nowhere near as far as many, but it's fairly obvious you advance through... a lot of "grinding". Of course, that was how you advanced in NYZ2, H&C, BF, Sky Gnomes, and Food Ninja. The only games they've ever released that didn't involve multiple hours of repetitive gameplay to unlock everything were the first NYZ and the Bug Heroes games (and even those all involved their fair share of unlocking). I'm not saying you're "wrong" in your assessment, but am saying you should chalk it up to subjective meshing with a particular game design. This is nowhere near their best game from my perspective, but I get and appreciate what they did. It won't stay on my device after I finish up the game, but I am enjoying the piecemeal advancement and power collection, as well as seeing what new power unlocks do to change up the gameplay.
I picked this up but I haven't had a lot of time to dig into it yet. My little blue monster is only level 2, so I really don't have any idea what I'm doing yet. That being said, based on this thread and the little bit I've played it seems great so far. Another solid title from the brothers.
That wasn't intended as a criticism, per sè. It's already a great game and a great achievement on a mobile device, I was just musing as to how much more polished and expansive it possibly could be if you guys had more time to devote to each game and a bigger budget.
