Just one thing, please help me on that: Are you excited about this game because you can play against other iPhone owners (same network) or because it's nice to play against AI? What's the real deal here?
I'd like to play against other people. Monopoly was one of my favorite games growing up, and it has been awhile since I've played. My husband really isn't into board games and my kids are too little. But sure I'd play against the computer if I had to.
I just can't see me getting into monopoly on my phone, If i remember correctly (it's been at least 8 years) monopoly takes a long time to complete even one game... I'm sure it saves your progress, but I think a game like Uno is more pick up and play...
I really love playing against the AI, as i just love playing monopoly anyway. I really really hope they have pass-the-device multiplayer, if not online. Local wifi isn't ideal, as i don't really think anyone else uses my wifi except me.
From what I saw on their website, it says coming out soon, not very soon. Soon could still be several weeks away. I didn't get the impression it was coming out in the next few days unless I missed something....
This was posted on slidetoplay yesterday by the site administrator: "So, I spoke to an EA rep, and he told me that Monopoly's due out sometime next week."
Last time I ever played Monopoly was about 5 or 6 years ago. We played one game that lasted 16 hours. Since that time I've seen the light and converted to German / European board games that have strategy in them thanks to boardgamegeek. Having said that I still think this will be a top seller because we are Americans gosh dang it and we like our dumbed down games. Chips Ahoy mate!
The last time I play Monopoly was on my Palm Centro. I was so addicted to it, that I secretly played it at work.
Type it into the search bar When you start typing Monopoly it is completed for you in the search bar. The results are EA games, MotionX Dices and Pip, all similar to Monopoly. I'd bet it is submitted and waiting on Apple. Talk about game overloads right about now... Currently on my list of wants: 1 TouchSpots Tennis 1 Buggled 1 Sonic Vox 1 iChalky 1 Lemonade Stand 1 Flick Fishing 1 Nanosaur 2 3 Xhake Shake 3 Midnight Bowling™ 3 MotionX Poker Quest 4 Besiegment 4 De Blob 5 Missle command 5 Warfare Incorporated (would rather have starcraft, or warcraft) 5 Air Cadets (waiting on a review) 5 Clusterball Arcade (waiting on price drop) 5 Touchgrind 5 Kroll (when it drops to a buck, now that Sparta should kill its sales) 5 Centipede 6 Fastlane (after NFS comes out I will choose and I think NFS will win) 8 Uno (waiting on price drop) 10 Brothers in Arms 10 Hero of Sparta ?? Need for Speed ?? Monopoly ?? Rolando ?? Sim City Bought Dr. Awesome yesterday, it is awesome! Bought Snail Mail yesterday, also great! Will continue buying, when I total all of these apps up, it is still less than 2 XBox360 games, and I'll get way more out of all these games. The iPhone 'finder' needs a nested folder system.
