I wished they had chosen to do New York before another FPS had done that location, I'd like to see new and more varied areas besides the usual cities or suburban areas. Could be interesting to see where the new developers take things from here but I won't get my hopes up too high, doubt that it will overtake Black Ops in sales seeing as there's competition from BF3 due in fall as well.
Me and my brother watched the teaser for it... can't remember the website but appearently activision came out EDIT: some weapons and ADSes http://kotaku.com/5801353/
Modern Warfare 3 is the biggest game of 2011 in the same way that Wii Sports is the biggest game on the Wii.
It doesn't seem too bad, just hope they have a lot more content than they did with Black Ops (st00pid camo)
Oh my god. I haven't been on this site in a year. So surprised to see some of the same guys on. As for MW3, I think they have to start from scratch and totally recreate the CoD series. The same formula every year is starting to get stale, and the competition improves so much when CoD is practically running on the same engine and game formula since CoD4.
Oh don't be such a pessimist. There's no doubt in my mind that MW3 will be a great, high-quality game that millions will buy, for one reason or another. Personally I've never gotten the CoD hate, because to me all of the games have been fun. Looking forward to this one too.
It'll be high quality for sure, in exactly the same way the last 4 or 5 have been. I don't doubt how much money gets pumped into the franchise, it's just not going anywhere new and now I'm completely bored by it. The competiton is heating up and CoD remains the leader largely because of the hype it can generate rather than actually being better than other franchises. People buy it because they've heard about it, in exactly the same way people bought Angry Birds Rio. There are a hundred other fantastic games on the App Store but they're not in the newspapers and so they go unnoticed. So yeah, I agree that MW3 will be a decent game, but it's a decent game I've practically already played and there are most definitely others out there more deserving of my money.
They might all have good quiality. BUT! It's the same f***ing formula every single year! They need to do something original instead of the same game with slight changes and zombies for a total of 4 games! And another reason is that the story sucks and the multiplayer is so unbalanced it makes it not fun whatsoever.
Was not planning on getting MW3 cuz of BF3 but those pictures convinced me otherwise. Also is it just me or is that "teaser" trailer not very teasing? They should have thrown us a little but of gameplay to go with that. I guess we will just have to wait. Also I am 100% sure this will outsell Black Ops. As long as they keep gameplay relatively balanced, fun, and fresh I will continue to get CoD games, the instant this franchise loses that I won't. That being said I didn't like Black Ops, but i have faith this game will be better than that one.
I can't name many teasers that show gameplay to be honest, a good deal of them don't even show cut scenes. As for "fresh", I think that went out the window several games ago, that's one of the biggest complaints
for those who haven't noticed yet.mw3 can be preordered starting today from gamestop(not sure about any other stores) supposed to come with another of the limited edition posters.
Well fresh in terms of graphics, the gameplay is probably going to anything but fresh. Sorry, I should have specified.

Not really... nothing will beat cod gameplay wise. everything else has a learning curve(large one to the very least) Cod is very user friendly.. battlefield... ehh not so much and also I think they're going to stick with the same award winning engine that gives them billions of dollars each year...
