which game went down 1.5 stars?

I personally like Gamelofts FPS engine more, Eliminate is a little too Quake-like for me, im not a big fan of the (what I call anyway :p) 'roller-wheel' FPS..

I have the MCS (with the update) but was unable to play it.

As far as Eliminae goes, it was a very, very fun game. It was really nice. However, to be honest I'm getting kind of bored of it.

First of all, it kills my battery life in about 20 or 30 minutes. That's really annyoning. And besides that, its starting to annoy me when it says "Connection Lost" even though my wi-fi is fine. And despite that, the game is way too repetetive and it's losing its touch. Also, the in match time is really short. Why is 10 kills the max? I don't like that.

Hopefully Modern Combat: Sandstorm online will be better (haven't tried it out yet.)

    MC
    -Big levels
    -Teams

    Eliminate
    -Upgrades
    -Better controls(to me)
    -Free w/ updates
-Works on 3g(even tho MC doesn't work at all for me online)

Personally, I love having both. When MC's bugs get fixed it'll be nice to have, but as it stands right now I don't really see MC coming close to the online play of Eliminate. Eliminate gets you really into your personal character which I absolutely love too.

I guess there are MC fanboys too! I thought there were only eliminate fanboys.
The fanboys are completely ignoring the fact online doesnt work. They are saying "if it DID work then It WOULD be better than eliminate, so that means that it IS better."

Eliminate should be better i online play
mainly because that is all they offer
while MC offers Campaign mode and online multiplayer is just a side-gameplay
but ireally hope MC's online would be fixed very soon :D

Sorry but Eliminate is crap. I hate its controls and gameplay... Once gameloft fix their servers it will be much better but eliminate is free so more people will play it of course. I successfully played MC online and it rocks. Its call of duty in your pocket. Can't wait till Nova. Voice chat omg!!!

Well, they both lose, being FPSes.

Having said that, at least Eliminate is a LITTLE fun, so...Eliminate wins

Ok, so you just hate FPS games, not Gameloft. Correct?

well, mostly correct, but i do not think gameloft games are the best either. I have said my complaints about them and will stand by them.

In my opinion i think both games are good but im leaning towards MC:S

    MC:S

Take away the fact that it has a lot of bugs n major online problems the actual game play is simply amazing! I my self have not been able to play not even a single match online so far. But me n my friend get a kick of playing some bluetooth battles in boring classes :) And so far from what Ive experienced MC:S is an amazing game. So once all the online problems are fixed (which they said on there twitter page that the current version is a beta and an update is on its way) this game will rule.
The online gaming will be much more fair compared to that of Eliminate. The reason being is that as we all know eliminate's matching system is simply retarded, ya someone might have an amazing score doesn't mean they should be place with someone of a higher level mainly because the higher level player has a lot better upgrades n from my experience its not even close to fair. They should have at least made it that your score only goes up when u have energy therefor you gain credits at the same time. Besides that Eliminate is to quick it doesn't take much strategy its basically if you have the better weapon/armor you most likely to win. As in MC:S they wouldn't have this problem, and everything is even out, example yes there's multiple classes u can chose from but each one has its advantages n disadvantages. The Heavy Guns slow you down incredibly but the damage the guns do destroys. Then if you chose a class such as shotgun you run incredibly fast. So it is equally evened out accept i do agree with others the Heavy Gun class does move alittle to slow. But who knows this could be upgraded in the next update. Also Eliminate is extremely repetitive, as MC:S each battle will be different cause 1 there is multiple fighting styles but also your forced into a small room together...although i think MC:S needs one small map because when your playin 1vs1 it can take a while in certain maps to run around lookin for one another. Another thing Eliminate lacks the bluetooth multiplayer for those of us who don't own a iPhone with a 3G network.

Yet they are both completely different styled games, Eliminate is more a close combat and action non-stop n no stategy required. As MC:S is more strategic n skill based.

But everyone is untitled to there our opinion :)

I really like the abstracted paintball-like environment of Eliminate, and am still having fun playing with different weapon combos. Haven't been happy with matching lately, but before the update it matched me up really well, so perhaps there's a fix in the works.

I don't find the "realistic war" environment of Modern Combat appealing at all for some reason. Maybe because it's too close to what I see on the news these days, reminding me that people are actually dying in very similar circumstances right now IRL. So it doesn't work as a "fun escape/distraction from reality" for me personally the way Eliminate does. If it were a space shooter, or in any other decade, it might be different. YMMV.
