Here, here. It's ridiculous on YouTube now, search for Modern Combat 5 and everyone and anyone has a "hands on" video now. Roll on the 24th. My money is ready!
Seems Gameloft is being pretty vigilant with sending copyright strikes out, or, at least that's what Twitter has lead me to believe. It's pretty crazy that YouTubers are basically serial pirates.
The ones who say that they pirates the game and then try to justify it are just disgusting. People have put their time and money into this game only to have people snatching it up without giving back a cent. Since Gameloft is one of the biggest mobile gaming devs I believe that they will find a solution to this. Pirates are nothing but inconsiderate and despicable people. And in case anyone plans on replying to this and saying that they mean to delete it and buy it when it is released, just don't. That doesn't make your actions any better.
Good riddance with respect to Gov. No, it's not enough, but if they're well made they should last long enough for the first update. I personally would love to see some old classics updated & reimagined for MC5 - Divide, Avalanche, Scramble, Warehouse - yes, please. Especially Divide, my all-time fav in the series. I really do like the unified progression the more I think about it. Really gives SP significantly longer legs and an actual point besides, well, the dumb action it's always been since MC3. I must admit to enjoying MC2's campaign am awful lot, the variety of missions and locales coupled with the decent AI and stealth missions was just loads of fun. Later entries felt too much like a COD knock-off and mindless shooting galleries. TL;DR: Level design & variety + AI >>>> graphics and set pieces.
Wow... Can't believe that people are being dumb enough to admit to stealing this, after all that has been said! If you don't know if a game is for you at it's launch price, stick it on your watchlist, wait for reviews/hands ons/let's play's, or even a price drop! I have done that plenty of times, and either found out enough and bought it, or got a price drop to where it became an affordable gamble. There is no excuse for just stealing the game, because 'you are definitely going to buy it later'... Edit - see yay [didnt realise they were banned to start] Anyways just finished watching bnates first hands on and the SP looks like good fun. Different style to before were you can customise your SP loadouts, sure before you had the guns the level have you. Looking good for the 24th
I believe the reasoning behind 4 maps at launch is so that lobbies fill up faster and no one is waiting. There would an expectation these days that a multiplayer game needs to be free in order for there to be enough people online. With this one being premium, the concern is that there would be lower numbers in the first few weeks (that will gradually grow) so to be on the cautious side and to ensure that people are not waiting around for a lobby for a particular map to fill up, the numbers are just lower for now. That will change as more and more people come on board because maps will be added and mixed around. Those that generate the biggest numbers will get similar types of maps added. There are a few almost ready to go but the player reaction and popularity of certain types will determine which of those other types gets added in. And JB, some reimagining of old ones is on the cards.
Gameloft is the best dev in the history of the industry. Everyone one of there games deserves to be GOTY on every magazine/forum/website/etc. Everyone should throw money at them. There should be a GL statue in the sky that's bigger than any statue before it. I am definitely not trying to get a free copy. *wink*wink*
That makes complete sense. Also who cares if there are only 4 maps, when I played MC4 it only ever seemed to be two/three maps that I played on - 66-100% improvement in my mind Flattery gets you everywhere bro. Boot sure why the winks though *wink*
I didn't and wouldn't have taken the game pirated or illegally downloaded through another iTunes not because I care how much money some big company makes but because I am looking forward to this game and I would like it to do well so in the future they can hopefully update the game and make an even better MC6 one day. I don't love gameloft at the minute not like I use to, but still I feel this way. If it were another money hungry company being greedy I wouldn't care for eg I use to play the Simpsons tapped out even though I hate EA and really wish they would give their licences to a better company....but anyway getting side tracked the point is I didn't care there about having hacked IAP currency as to me the prices were ridiculous and half the games content is IAP. MC5 is a full game for a decent price they deserve the money for the work and for our sakes with extra content and furture work. Could go on forever but it's the same as everything if everyone pirated all movies and music we would end up with no movies and no music or very low budget work which isn't enjoyable.
Perfectly stated. If you can't spend money on this game, then ios gaming is doomed. Premium game, no IAP. Gameloft hasn't always been perfect. However, this is a huge step in the right direction. Personally, I can't wait to give them my money, the moment this game drops.
Back to game discussion, will there be mutable device syncing? Probably answered earlier in thread, and if so, my apologies. Just wondering if I'll be able to play on my phone when away from my pad, and have everything sync. Thanks!
Yep. You will. Edit, jeez, I'm running wicked slow today. beaten to it by Oscar. Sorry bout double info post thing.
