I've tried every FPS on the App Store and as good as they all are I will never accept touch controls as an acceptable way of controlling them
Nice. I absolutely do when it comes to the bigger games. The smaller short session games I have no problem with
Sooooo true!!! All those people who come up with this type of statement should figure out already that..... They just suck on touchscreens and because of them some potentially good ios games end up having weird control schemes!! Just watch an ign review for an ios game and you'll get what i'm saying!!
For everybody that thinks this game is just being developed your wrong . This games development started when they started developing mc4 .
Actually, that's not 100% correct. They started developing this roughly 3 months before MC4 was released. Give or take. They didn't both start development at the same time.
I'm hoping to see controllable kill streaks. I know for a fact this is the first Modern Combat, since Black Pegasus, to feature weapons with their real life names. I do see they copied the campaign weapon customization from Crysis 3's campaign, if I'm not wrong. I like the fact that they revived the M16, though. I'm glad to see that semiautomatic pistols again. I'm more concerned about how the online will be handled. We'll have to see, though.
The graphics haven't really evolved since 2011. Kinda a bummer. Also, why don't they remove the sprint button? The sensitivity is slow enough, but its like crawl slow when swiping on it, honestly make it like mc2 was, less buttons is the best approach. And why don't they add vehicles? Merge battlefield why not.
I find that very impressive. I've tried so hard to get used to them and I don't think it will ever click with me, I need real controls. Killjoy almost said it right "you suck at mobile gaming" but I don't, I suck at touchscreen gaming. I install flooring for a living and I think my thumbs and fingertips are too callused and my touches don't seem to register half the time. My quote wasn't putting down the control method by any means because I know there are tons of people that don't have issues with them
Yeah I totally understand. My parents, especially my dad who works all the time can barely use my iPad, they especially have trouble typing because of their calluses fingers. My mom had 150+ WPM on th typewriter, however it takes half a minute to type a short sentence on the iPad. Also, some of my first video games were on an iPad, and I had hours and hours of experiance before I got an xbox. I understand the problem you have with the controls, when I switched over to the xbox my first game I went 1-49 on BO2.
No run button? Slow-paced multiplayer matches. Vehicles? Go play NOVA. MC is a fast-paced FPS, and we don't want vehicles ruining the game like they did in NOVA. Besides, adding vehicles would mean making NOVA sized maps, and that is all too much of a file size.
Seeing that there are a lot of people that are very good with the touch controls why doesn't gameloft include physical controls? It shouldn't give us an advantage over the people that are good with touch controls. I believe it will get more people playing. I've purchased all modern combat games but Im horrible with the controls
I figured with iOS 7 we would or I hoped so.. I was more curious as to why asphalt 8 and 7 supports controller on android but none of the modern combat games do
