Personally I put quick scoping and one shot kills in the same bracket as noob tubers. It makes the gameplay very unbalanced.
I don't understand the hateful comments towards MC5. For those hating on it, don't get it. It really is that simple. Everyone who has played the game already has said that they love it. I watched both MC5 multiplayer live streams with the devs and all i heard from them was how much they are listening to the community. They went on to talk about many many future updates. MC5 is going to be $6.99 at launch with no iaps. On top of that, it is an iOS and Android game. MOBILE. Crazy! I absolutely can't wait for it. - Bnates
Shoot yourself in the leg with a sniper rifle and see of you doe instantly. A man would only die instantly if they were shot in the head and in some cases the heart.
I'd have to agree with this. Quick scoping and one shot kills to body just means a sniper is a much more accurate and long ranged shotgun. Which seems to be the general impression I'm getting from some associated with the game. And that's not really what a sniper class is about. Or at least it shouldn't be. On the sniper damage, it still stands at 80-90% body shot damage and a one shot kill headshot. Which is pretty much as it would be if everyone is wearing Kevlar and nobody has a .50 cal. Tweaks are being considered though but I would imagine a new weapon would be introduced if anything and probably would be a .50 cal which would give the one kill body shot. Back on the quick scoping, it is also being considered. At the moment, the information I have is that it is still not in it because of the situation with MC4 when it got easy to do in that and when they tweaked the sniper damage in one of the updates for it. It essentially led to people only using sniper and using sniper as though it were a shotgun. Just a very accurate and very long range shotgun. I know someone said yesterday that was not the case but my experience with the game and a quick browse through YouTube videos of the game tell a very different story. Ultimately though, there is an awful lot of rage out there because there is currently no quick scoping and because body shots do 80-90% damage and need headshots for one shot kill, something I think is actually balanced right, so they might have no choice but to cave in to changes. They are looking at it.
Ok you guys, if you like the game get it and stay here. If you don't like it, don't buy it and leave. I now see no reason in us fighting over this because we all are being unreasonable. One side is trashing it for the sake of trashing it, the other side is defending the game and will not accept almost any criticism. While each side has very good points about why it will be good and bad, we should all just shut up and stop arguing.
Firstly, the game looks great. Secondly, I'm not sure if this has been answered before, but will the improved graphics, and cool effects such as SSAO be shown on the iPhone 5, now that it is a little older?
I'm pretty sure they said that SSAO would only be available on the iPhone 5S/iPad Mini wR/iPad Air in terms of iOS devices. (Anything with an A7 processor)
Actually depending on the caliber of the bullet, getting hit anywhere on the body would prove to be fatal. A sniper bullet contains a massive amount of energy, and upon impact spreads the energy onto its target. If shoot in the chest with, say a .50 or a .408 the force of the round would literary blow you apart. Likewise, a leg shot would blow your leg off and cause massive blood less, which would kill you pretty quickly. There are some videos on youtube with guys shooting watermelons that kind of show this effect, where the watermelon blows apart from the bullet. Anyway, I think we all need to wait until the game comes out, which is only in a little more than a week. I remember a while back when MC4 was poised to come out and I was extremely angry because the game looked to be freemium at the time. I kept ranting and complaining so much that eventually some mod gave me a week-long ban. We all need to wait until the game comes out until we make any judgements.
That's the problem, we need to move from "Yay! I've got games on my phone" to the point where smartphones are considered as next platforms like Wii U or PS Vita. The problem with gameloft is that they want to make games for all variety of devices, from high end to almost low end ones. If that trend continues, we won't see much improvements from one MC to another. I hope that in the future there'll be bunch of games made strictly for high ends, I hope that Forgotten Memories would show other developers, how proper game should look like.
Nice. A good look at some of the weapons in gameplay there. Plus the big assault gun near the end of the video. I think it looks like a nice bit of variety in gameplay. With some pretty cool weapons and attachments. Its worth watching it at highest quality resolution. It's still not exactly how it will look on device in front of you but it still looks top notch to me. Thanks for that video.
Yeah I thought it was just me lol. The graphics really look good in that video. Its probably the highest resolution video out there. If any of you guys have links to other high res videos, please post them Edit: I definitely see improvements in MC5
Now compare screenshots of the multiplayer maps. I'd say they have a lot less little details compared to the singleplayer ones.
There are no actual in-game screen shots as of now, aside from the extremely low res multiplayer gameplay clips. But to make a fair comparison, I compared two in-engine screen shots from MC4 & MC5. There are definitely many improvements in MC5, especially in textures & enviromental details
