Awe crap that sucks. I was hoping for more general perks like faster running speed, faster aim, ect. No, unfortunately by the time I got an xbox and had money to buy games halo seemed to have died out. Okay thanks man
There's a bit of confusion over the twitch stream, gotta love timezones and summer savings times, so here's the definite times according to select cities. London/Dublin (BST) 6:00pm New York (EDT) 1:00pm Los Angeles/San Francisco (PDT) 10:00am As a reference point GMT time is 5:00pm for the stream. Note GMT is a universal reference point and is not subject to seasonal change in the same way as individual city/country zones are. For other times, just put in any of the times above in the following website to compare to your local time zone and you'll be sorted. Even I'm too confused now to go through a longer list of cities but any of the above put in to the website will compare it to your local zone. http://www.worldtimebuddy.com
I think TouchArcade may have posted this an hour early, but... Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
My first impressions of that video (having skipped through it a bit): - The soundtrack is amazing. - Visually & level design wise I'm verry disappointed with the maps. Maybe Killzone Mercenary has spoiled me, but they just lack personality and seem to consist mostly of flat open areas with randomly placed cover objects in them.
I think you may have skipped through it a little bit too fast. Of the maps I saw, they have multi height levels, interior and exterior on the same map, narrow corridors along with wide open spaces, random cover points from crates to shipping containers, impaired vision weather effect, upstairs level, ground levels and lots of both open exposed points and decent distance cover points. Plus a few more map details that I haven't listed but I'm pretty sure I saw three different height levels on a single map along with plenty of interior and exterior with the associated narrow and wide open environments basically. I dunno maybe I've just looked more closely but it looks like all the necessary points for tactical, dynamic and changeable maps seem to be there. Plus, it looks like its a whole lot of fun actually which is the most important point and has the potential for a lot of mayhem when there's full teams in there. If anything, I actually like what I've seen of the maps a lot so far and they have something that reminds me of Rainbow Six (the Gameloft iOS one), in which I enjoyed the multiplayer in that a huge amount. Edit. And yeah poor Ryan. Jeff and Jared really took him to town. It also looks like ADS is the way to go as I'm seeing plenty of "spread" from hip firing. That should keep a lot of people happy I'd imagine. I'm also noticing plenty of recoil along with the spread when continuos firing so burst fire will also be the way to go.
You guys have all hyped yourselves up so hard over this game with expectations that are so unreal I don't know what Gameloft could ever do to satisfy you at this point. That being said, everyone who has actually played it has loved it, so don't let the predictably negative internet peanut gallery sway your opinion too much.
And that's the key point right there. If those that have played it have enjoyed it, and from Jared's article that certainly seems to be the case, well that's all that's really important at the end of the day. It looks that I'll be cancelling summer for me, I'll be too busy playing because it looks like it will be a whole lot of fun. I actually like what I've seen of the maps. But I'd imagine that's not too much of a surprise I suppose.
