It's like call of duty, all characters can heal. I would go for the recon just because it fits my play style which is rushing.
So all can revive another player? I haven't played fps properly since BF2 and AvP on the pc but always did medic or sniper on BF
Yeah what dominator said, think of it like cod. Short to long ranged maps. You probably won't want to use a sniper on every map, unless you know how to quick scope. Each class has an active ability that has a cool-down, but non of them are med-packs or a revive kit, or something along the lines of that. They're along the lines of some sort of boost to yourself (damage boost, health boost, flak boost, etc), a power up practically. I forgot what they were exactly, but I'm sure you can find it online somewhere There are no revives in multiplayer Edit: I'll just list them to save you the search Active abilities: -Assualt: 20% (30%) damage for 10 seconds. -Heavy: restore 25% (50%) HP instantly -Recon: reveals all enemies 10 (15) meters on the radar -Sniper: You can drop a hologram of yourself (people who shoot it are highlighted within the enviroment) The info in the parenthesis are the rank 2 versions of the perk. Not sure what the cool downs are, but I would imagine around 30-60 seconds.
As you level up, you'll unlock more classes. All classes are unlocked by level 10 I believe (My builds have come with unlocked classes). Too put that into perspective though, I've been able to level up to about level 7-9 with just the first couple of missions in Chapter 1 & 2 along with the Spec Ops. Keep in mind that these XP values might not be what goes live with the launch version though.
So I have to start with a certain class before I can unlock the one I want? I'm usually pretty good with sniper and use to do clan matches but never on iOS so I may be terrible! But thanks I think I'll try sniper as a main aim still and give the others a look at. I'll probably end up changing as sniper was most fun for me on BF as I loved finding hiding spots and getting head shots. But eventually I learnt I could get more kills as a medic with headshots on the rifle that didn't have bad sights at all. On AvP I played that much I didn't need to use a scope I could just hip shot with no crosshairs and do it. Hoping I can get that good on this one now I've got a decent connection.
Sorry to double post but last one is long enough. What are the control options? Last time I tried I found it awkward to be panning the camera, aiming, bringing up the scope and shooting all pretty much at the same time with the same controls.
Yeah, I think the order of unlocking is: assualt, heavy, recon, sniper. Not 100% sure, just picked that up from analyzing pre-E3 footage. Lots of customization: HUD customization, sensitivity, aim assist (not im multiplayer), auto-fire (weapon fires upon aiming at them. not in multiplayer), auto-sprint (you sprint if you move the v-stick all the way up), auto crouch (you crouch if youre behind cover & you uncrouch if you ADS behind cover 3 control options- Traditional - static v-stick for movement (recommended for sniping) dual joystick- one joystick for movement another for looking around. You tap anywhere on the screen to shoot Floating v-stick - tap and hold anywhere on the left side of the screen for a v-stick to appear.
That's good there's a few options, I'll have to try them out to see what's best. I did see about autofire ect and if it's disabled in multiplayer I'll play single player without it to get use to playing that way instead. Have to admit on dead trigger I use auto fire. So they unlock via level rather than certain part of single player? Wondering if I play multiplayer to start and unlock sniper if I can then do single player as sniper?
Yes, its a unified progression system. So if you unlock it via campaign you'll unlock it in multiplayer as well. And the campaign downloads as you play it, so you can skip the campaign and go straight to multiplayer and it'll take up less memory. There will. Those settings listed are options you can enable/disable
For those who missed it: Also Bnatesgamer is teasing a MC5 video that he will release tomorrow. Apparently its going to be big news
Here it be - 20 minutes of gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QyKksopZCM Edit - doh doesn't post link on mobile, sorry!
Hey Ryan can you tell me the price in Australia please. And any multiplayer news ? Keep up the good work Ryan , and Rip73 you deserve a prize / medal for keeping us up to date and defending gameloft. Good job Ryan. Good job Rip73 Hey Ryan maybe you can convince gameloft to give Rip73 a free copy of MC5 via promo code . But seriously Rip73 deserves some sort of reward.
So will your game engine in MC6 be on par with UE4? If it doesn't live up to that standard... Then i won't continue buying into the MC series. Either I want to see UE4 like graphics or I'll go find another FPS that utilises UE4. Maybe you (GL) should use UE4 and scrap your outof date engine.
Why are you even bothering to worry about MC6 when 5 isn't even released yet? It turns out however it turns out if you don't like it don't buy it, it's that simple. There are plenty of games out there.
Fair nuff, haven't seen that much on what the game engine actually is to be honest. But for Me I am more bothered about gameplay (hart got one of the latest generation devices so probably won't get the best effects until I get a iPhone or whatever 6 later this year) I had some great fun playing multiplayer with mc4 - I am pretty rubbish, just good enough to kill slightly more than being killed - and I expect to have great fun again, especially if we get a 'TA New recruits squad'
