Well it would be nice if they release it this summer but if they don't? I am fine. I got my ps4 and there are 2 FPS games I am looking forward to Destiny and advanced warfare (still needs to see mp) so I won't care about this game at all It's their loss if they release it later this year, pretty sure I am not the only person who probably feels that way. If you can afford iPhone/iPad for gaming uses, chances are that you already have console with you
If MC5 wouldn't require a constant internet connection it wouldn't be competing as directly with console/PC shooters for your time... (funny how people on console/PC seem to complain about always online requirements more than people on mobile, where many people keep trying to justify it) Chose between playing the newest mobile or newest console/PC shooter at home and be forced to play older shooters on the go. Because that makes sense. (Yes, I know you can use the phone network to be connected on the go, but not everyone's got a device that is capable of doing that and not everyone wants to spend money on being allowed to play a mobile game on the go. Data costs money.)
MC5 isn't coming out in the summer. September at the earliest, Q4 seems most likely. And this is pure guesswork.
Yeah I mean I would either have choice to play console FPS, or play mc5 on my iPhone when I am home... I really don't see a reason to play mc5 when I can just go and play other games on my console. And since mc5 didn't impressive me and constant internet connection makes it worse
It's the same for me,free wifi hotspots are a rarity here.I may have played the Sp if it wasn't AO but sadly it is.I'll wait for the reviews if it's truly exceptional only then will I get it,If it turns out to be like mc4 and 3 then maybe not.
This game gets delayed so much it's like a joke to me, I know their trying to make it great but it doesn't take a year from when it was supposed to be released to get released
Try to imagine MC5 being delayed so much that fans will feel the same as the fans of duke nukem when it came out 10 years later
Pure guesswork? Rip has actually got a track record of having actual knowledge, some of the things he has posted on here have then been confirmed by GL. So no offence, but I will take Rips suggestion over yours. (It is sooner as well)
You have an iPod Touch 4G though. Chances are, even if your device can run MC5, it won't do it well, so why fret over the constant connection?
Perhaps because I also have a Galaxy S2 which is more likely to be able to run the game? (It ran Asphalt 8 perfectly fine on the highest graphics settings, until one day gameloft updated it and made it impossible for me to select the medium and high graphics settings, in addition to adding the always online requirement) And depending on what devices apple or google decide to release in the forseeable future I may have a device that is definitely capable of running the game close to the time of its release.
Actually they didn't add always online to that one. On a clean install or on first run after an update, the app does need to be online because it sends in a verification request and needs authentication. This is part of Google's anti hack and anti piracy efforts and is an optional part of the Google Play Store as (albeit briefly) outlined in this link. https://developers.google.com/games/services/android/antipiracy Once it passes authentication on a first install or an update, the campaign portion can be played offline while the multiplayer and Time Limited Events require online, well, because they are online elements. And obviously enough the cloud save needs to be online in order to save.
And data totally doesn't cost 0,24 per mb or 5 a month for a measly 100 mb data flat, right? I actually don't use my phone that much, so it would affect me.
So no wonder. With games like San Andreas and asphalt 8, you can apparently change the graphics setting on an android device. This would be a one reason that would make me switch over, although Apple devices seem to get more support with games (such as releasing before android).
That is even more expensive than my roaming charges. Might be time to seriously consider another cellular provider because that is without doubt some of the most expensive national data fees that I have ever seen and even more expensive than my own international fees.
Apple devices always have the "highest" settings as standard, especially on the newer model devices. The reason android has the ability to switch to low settings is because A: it's android, very open source etc. and B: there are tons of android devices out their from many manufacturers with low/mid/high-end devices. Which makes android more fragmented.. You'll never match the quality of iOS games. Android may run like butter at times... But it will never run like Silk like iOS.
It's funny watching you get trolled Ryan. First they troll you with the 'killcams' and now they are trolling you with 'summer 2014'. The best part is when you take it for granted and troll the entire community. Legend.
