I would easily pay $10 for space cats on my gun. However, I'm currently wearing shark slippers in the office, so that should just go to show how much I like novelty animal things.

Not yet. As other posts have stated, we are supposed to be announcing more information about the game at E3.

Possibly $6.99, unless gameloft has something else in mind.

I think they will charge a higher premium than we have been used to because they have made a very big thing about the price. But I thin $10 to $12 would be cool as you get a lot of gameplay value.

LoL $12 for a game with a constant connection requirement is a no-go for most, and considering most people aren't going to spend that much money on a mobile game anyway, except if its Square Enix game. Even San Andreas isn't that much.

I have San Andreas (for iPhone) and I feel like I'd pay $12 for it. The constant internet connection in MC5 seems so overhyped and criticized, when it really seems like it makes no difference. If this game was extremely packed with content and was great, I'd consider shelling out the money. Mobile gaming has gotten legitimate these past few years and I don't think anyone isn't willing to spend a lot for an excellent mobile game anymore.

It's quite funny really, you state it would be a 'no-go for most', I guess you mean 'most' as in people on this forum, because their are plenty of people out their spending hundreds on IAP based games daily.
So I would consider $12 to be an utter bargain, have you ever read the Real Racing 3 thread?

As for the always online, it's only going to bug some people on here but considering some in here have also stated their opinions that MC5 is all about the online multiplayer, then it's a moot point anyway. The majority will not even notice I don't expect.

I have always much preferred my fps games on the pc but im going to give this game a go and hope that I do enjoy it. I don't think I've played a MC game since the first one!

It would've been better if they gave us a website for MC5, instead of giving us gameplay.

If it's build with premium features, controller support, I'd go with $14.99.

I asked Gameloft_uk on Twitter and he said they were planning on making a website like they did for mc4.

Did anyone notice the sound of the vector gun is the same as the assault rifle of N.O.V.A. 3? I remember reading in the past posts that this developer is the same one who made N.O.V.A. 3. That's kinda lazy imo. Also where is the mini map?

I was under the basis that the majority of IAP purchases aren't made by the masses but a small percentage of player with higher income purchasing $99 iAP or smaller $1 making seem like a lot of people buy iAP while surveying.
About the online only, if there's single player, online only doesn't make any sense. I would prefer separate single player and multiplayer data if that necessary to keep offline experience. Even COD and Battlefield it bases it off of has offline option when the internet's down.

    Lazy? Hardly.
Perhaps you'd like it to be delayed even further so they can waste some time making new sound files when they have perfectly acceptable and effective ones created already. I wouldn't.

I'd personally like to see their time spent on environments and maps. Which it has been. And is hardly lazy.

There is mini map in multiplayer, not in campaign.
There is a radar drone in campaign.

If you hear the sounds of the vector and M4 in call of duty and battlefield you know it doesn't sound like some fictional futuristic assault rifle in NOVA.

In the E3 demo it showed a square mini map in the first mission in Venice and I know that that was a year ago but all the radar drone does is highlight the enemies.

As has been said many times, you will need to be online to play, be that single player campaign mode or multiplayer.

You asked about the mini map.
E3 demo you refer to was a year ago. Things change.
So e get taken out out, some get added.
In this case, the mini map was taken out of campaign (but left in multiplayer) and replaced by radar drones.
In any case, it wasn't a mini map in that demo from last year, it was a radar detector that placed a dot in the direction of enemies but showed no actual map or buildings or streets.

As to the gun, well it still sounds like an assault rifle. It never exactly sounded "futuristic" in NOVA 3, it just sounded like an assault rifle.
And that's not even to say that it is the exact same sound file anyway. As it's not a Gold build, it could easily be a placeholder or simply a variation upon it.
And even at that, as long as it sounds like an assault rifle, which it does, its not exactly lazy either, it's just effective use of resources.
