Gameplay looked very disappointing. Graphic looks like it has been reskin version of dead trigger. Not to mention whole internet connection, and looks like lots of IAP is going to be taking in place as well...
It added lots of things. The ability to jump over obstacles, different classes with different skills, way better customization for the weapons... And then of course all the graphics improvements. Maybe it wasn't the kind of jump that was going from MC2 to MC3, but it still had its own things to be something more than just a 2.0 version of the previous game. So far I have yet to see something new in MC5.
i dont know why but it seems like this looks even more cartoonish than the previous one. i didn't really like how expressionless people look...i mean its possible on mobile (look at spiral !!!). anyway i hope this weird looking/sounding/playing singleplayer is the sign they've really focused on multi. wasn't too bad anyway. but just not nearly as good as i thought considering the amount of people and time working on it.
Almost, but not quite. PDT is 3 hours behind EST. So the EST times would be 1PM and then 4AM. Typically I put the streams up on YT about 1 hour after the stream is over. Worst case it'll be up by end of day for me here in San Francisco on the off chance the hosts don't upload it.
I'd call it Modern "Dead Trigger" Combat 5 I mean when you think of it, the Zombies in Dead Trigger (and pretty much any other zombie game) have better AI than the soldiers here...
And why are they so goddamned vague about the release date?!? Oooooooo, it's some big mystery .... How is saying: "MC5 will be released on blahblahblah, cost blahblah dollars & be blahblahblah in size." somehow gonna make Gameloft lose any money? What's that, you say? They're building anticipation? How about "building resentment"? How about that? Valve has already done it to themselves with thier "Half-Life 3" nonsense, nobody cares about "Faraway" or "Wolves Of The Atlantic" anymore, and Jonathan Blow's "The Witness" is slowly creeping into that territory. Looks like they're all about to be joined by "Modern Combat 5: Blackout". A pox on them & all thier ancestors, I say. FEH.
Yep, they polished it very well. From quite good e3 demo we have this... modern trigger? Let's see how Rip would defend them now.
more like "call of trigger: strike team". those way too short missions are breaking the campaign flow. i know even in mc4 missions were splitted in 3 parts but at least the transition was smooth and we didn't get to see the main menu every 5 mins!!
I see nothing in there that needs defending. Its 30 minutes of preview play on a preview build. I'm sure we'll all to make our judgements in about three weeks time but until then I've seen nothing that requires defending. As some seem focused on a sniper effect that is prominent in DT2, so what? It's an effect that has added a huge amount of entertainment value to that game so that a style of it is incorporated into this one is nothing but a benefit. And they do have a cool down in this one. As to the AI, there were never really that enormously clever anyway and a couple of bits of gameplay that demonstrate some of the setup of the game doesn't exactly represent as to whether the AI has dynamic behaviour or not throughout the game so I'll reserve any form of judgement on that. You're essentially watching tutorial/demo type levels that show aspects of the game, not the game as a whole, so if you want to judge it now, feel perfectly free to do so. You will however be judging without the full package available so it will not be accurate so I'll neither be defending nor criticising. I'll just be waiting a few weeks, downloading and enjoying.
Agreed. Everyone here is doing the same thing generic, whiny commenters on sites like IGN and Destructoid do: complain about footage of unreleased games. You may have had prior experience with another product, but that doesn't mean you know everything about this game. In fact, you know what little they could tell you in 30 minutes.
Are you saying this is coming out in a few weeks. If so then the build they are showing will most likely be the final product
Are you saying this is coming out in a few weeks. If so then the build they are showing will most likely be the final product Edit Forgot to hit quote. Replying to rips comment but not whining about the footage
Yeah, I was gonna say: this is a "preview build" as you call it, of a game coming out in 20 days?!? No, my friend: this is the game ....
It's titled as a demo build. That should answer it clearly enough. It is as close to the final product as it can be but some tweaks and certain things that have been developed and integrated in to the final release are not in this build which is still a pre release build that has been floating around for much more than a few days now. In those few weeks, tweaks and changes have been done along the lines of what one could liken to a big update of a current build. Tweaking, polishing, etc., etc., but not yet integrated across the board. So, the answer is both yes and no. If one is familiar with the development process, they will understand what I mean.
Well, the guy was technically right. PDT is 2 hours behind EST, but that's only relevant for a couple of hours per year in fall when Eastern Time is no longer observing daylight savings time and Pacific Time still is. PDT is 3 hours behind EDT, or you could get away with calling them PST and EST (even if daylight savings time is observed) and I don't think anyone would make a fuss. Probably easiest to say New York is 3 hours ahead of California, just to keep it simple. Time zones - always a party.
Well I don't understand what they did with the game. I really am not sure about art style changes and everything else. Game looked like something could have been better with times, instead they made it pretty much looks like dead trigger. Even graphics and rendering looks so much alike.. Idk. Let's hope MP is going to be decent at least
I think the game looks pretty good. I like the idea of quick sessions for the single player mode. I've never cared about the single player in any of the other installments but will most likely give this one a go but I too am looking more forward to the mp
