This is pointless...what i'm saying does not require any kind of grade to be understood. At this point you just gotta be kidding. Like do you think this will be the first online only game to come to ios? I mean you're talking like we are assuming things we haven't tried yet...Like if the fact that this feature STRONGLY limitates the accessibility was still debatable. Jeez i see we can argue on internet over the most stupid topics and it'll always feel natural. Reading back my posts i'm like WTF do i even have to demonstrate anything here?! Isn't this like basic common sense? Just wow...lets end this...
I think it more likely that there is online toggles for single player, and that local wifi MP will still have all unlocks from the get-go (which seemed to do well in MC4). Want to use your online progress or play MP? Go online. Want to play offline? Toggle online off. Such a method would probably have separate and purely local offline save data.
I do find it interesting how people seem to be more ok with mobile games having an always-online requirement than they are with home consoles having this requirement. If this is really about preventing people from hacking in the online multiplayer why not just have the game check things to make sure someone isn't cheating once that person wants to play online? There is literally no good reason for the singleplayer (and local multiplayer if that still exists) to require an internet connection. And to try and prevent piracy couldn't the game just require an internet connection the first time you launch the game to make sure everything's ok?
So now your implying a tablet is useless without an internet connection because games developers have made them like that? Requiring an always online connection to play THEIR games? And you two are also generalising a hell of a lot, assuing that just because people talk about the multiplayer on forums no one plays the campaign or it doesn't matter, well I play the campaign, I buy the game for the campaign, I don't really play the multiplayer as I use my big TV and PS4 for that. Yet I should be penalised for the ones who do play the multiplayer and talk about it in forums? Interesting ideology there, stupid but interesting. I see no reason for the campaign to need online all the time.
All I said was most people play MC for the multiplayer. I know theres a small percentage of people who buy the game for the basic campaign. But if they were not to release a campaign I doubt there would be a huge down on sales. You should use your big TV and PS4 for a campaign as well. I understand that theres an issue with having to be connected at all times. TASM, being a single player game, had that and it is an issue for users, even me. I am not the only one generalizing, you are too, if you haven't noticed. No need to be aggresive, please. I am sorry if I offended you even though I did not intend that what so ever. There was no reason to attack me. I do not have an issue with this, that doesn't mean you don't either. I understand your position but this thread is just getting ridiculous. Gameloft cannot announce one thing without this thread blowling up and getting heated over, as you would say, "generlization". I'd say take this to the official Gameloft Forums for they can see it, not people who are looking forward to the game. It really annoys members seeing this thread being over thrown by excessive complaints about features that have yet to be confirmed or spoken of. I believe there is a thread for that in the general discussion section, it is even directed at Gameloft.
This was an interesting thread until people started arguing, been watching it for awhile now there's these essays of people arguing, I just hope this game is as good as I think it is.
I haven't attacked you, but you have again generalised everyone under the same umbrella, you state a SMALL percentage of people buy the game for the campaign, what have you based this on? Factual evidence from Gameloft? That is my point that you are not using facts but presenting your opinion as one, please understand that you are replying to me in a manner that reflects directly onto you, all your comment applies to you too. Anyway, always online sucks and people don't like it, and as it's related to this game why can I not post it on here?
I am sure that most of the 500k people played only campaign and merely touched the multiplayer. Only in TA there is a big group playing only MP.
I play games like this strictly for mp, I've never been happy with the campaign for any modern combat game or any call of duty game for that matter. I own an iPhone so I personally have no problem with always on internet but can see how and why others would. I just hope the controls work flawlessy
Yeah, too much garbage. It's not even interesting to read like the old Dead Trigger Thread was. Anywayz, I just hope for the best, MC5 was awesome one year ago, I pray it got even better now. Hope it is not always online, but that maybe the reality of this situation.
Played MC4 today just to get back into MC mode and when I was playing the campaign I just now noticed that body parts actually come off the enemie! Don't know how I just noticed that but wonder if MC5 will do the same or better.
Go into graphics settings or whatever, and make sure the "Gore" setting is set to on. That's what allows those body parts to fly off. I am on an iPod touch 5 and I see those effects, so no A7 is not needed.
