"Our game will feature a story about terrorists and nukes, you'll play an american soldier shooting dudes in different countries"
"Compact and dynamic" Interesting choice of words. Dynamic implies multiple ways to play or some sort of changing element, while compact, well, I suppose it alludes to mobile-friendly, shorter missions. The former would be a welcome addition, while "mobile-friendly" is often a buzzword for F2P. Highly doubtful they'd go all-out F2P on this series, though. Shorter missions would actually be nice, especially if they're varied and well designed. I hope dynamic doesn't just refer to environmental destruction, it'd be really nice to see some improvements in AI and overall level design, which has been pretty terrible the last two entries. The fact that they took time (and thus immense amounts of money) to delay and polish the game must mean they have a good deal of confidence in its ability to make back the money (and thus in the game itself). The visuals are certainly much improved. Damn, check out the character face model in the E3 demo. Was hoping for a new trailer, but can't have it all I suppose.
Well, I guess at least we have a name now? Bit dissapointed with the information, or lack of it, that has been announced. And it doesn't bode well that they also state stay tuned for lots more information over the coming 'weeks'. But I'm still hopeful we may get it in June ish time.
what the?!!! who cares about the name?!! i dont even know why the 4 is called zero hour...cauz i dont care!!! so this is the...., we've been waiting.....! screw this i'm out. its on my watchlist i'll get notified anyway when something relevant actually happens
Is there any recent footage of the game,The only one I can find is way back at e3 which was almost a year ago. They surely must have improved the game a lot since then hopefully the textures.
I don't want to participate in any of this madness. Please Gameloft, no always online or freemium for MC5. Thank you, your friend, Connector
It looked great at E3. Here is my pict. It was beautiful then and fully working at least for one level.
It looks good not great though,It just seems as if they are using the same colour pellet from mc3 and running it on mc4 engine,The textures appear to be murky and the lightning is again baked as far as I can tell from the videos. But like I said it was a whole year ago they surely would have improved on those graphics. More than the graphics I'm interested in the physics and how destructible environments are implemented.Very few games get shooting right killzone, fear, battlefield are among them.In the end gameplay is all about the physics, which tend to be poor in most GL titles.
Yeah, but you are missing the lighting effects, the water reflections, the smoke billowing, particled in the air. Trust me, on an ipad 4, MC5 was flawless back then, no framerate issues, very pretty like a painting. With that said, please Gameloft, no always online and no freemium please. Thank you.
