Maybe he meant they stopped trying for NOVA
or about polishing their games. Why would you get so upset for a thing like that. And to me nothing has changed about quality of Gameloft titles. They might not be the same company. They are trying to do something. But quality of their games hasn't changed that much. Although that's just my opinion.

    Upset?
Since when is a lengthy detailed reply that explains my side of the discussion using relevant and current situational references the equivalent of "upset"?
I merely explained my side and my reasons, with examples, of why I have that belief, nothing more. That's not upset. It's just detail.

And no, he didn't mean NOVA.
He has said the exact same thing in just about every Gameloft related thread since he has joined the forum.
That displays a pattern and not a unique case.

And you're entitled to your own opinion of course in relation to the quality of their games. I don't agree with it but that's just my opinion and doesn't negate yours.
But it also doesn't mean that they've stopped trying.

There's always been a lot of Gameloft hatred... and EA and Square. Any larger company is going to get it. The reasons change the hatred stays.
Personally, I passed on the latest GL games because of the internet requirement. I figured they would be games I would play predominetly in single player and the requirement didn't make sense to me. Yes, I understand the argument, I wasn't willing to deal with it though. No hatred all the same, they can do what they like.
I'll probably be willing to accept it for MC5 as it's a game I can see a benefit from going online only. As long as it has the desired effect. That being to improve the multiplayer experience, by limiting or altogether eliminating hacking/cheating.
Let people hate or dislike what they want. Enjoy whatever you want.

I disagree,They have changed and for the worse ever since freemium became a big hit.Look at ehat they have done in the last 2 years since nova 3,The only good game they have produced is Asphalt 8 every other GL has been a huge dissapointment.

Tasm 2-rehash of the 2 year old game with a lackluster story, poor voice acting and technical issues.

Capt. America-Lame is every conceivable way, repetitive, bland and boring and buggy.

Gt racing 2- lackluster handling and underdeveloped physics engine, outdated graphics.

Wild blood-Poor combat, lame story and voice acting a very average game.

Mc4- terrible campaign, poor multiplayer maps and design layout.

Blitz brigade- a decent game filled upto brim with distracting iap's and unbalanced multiplayer.Still a lot better than others on this list.

    Thor- terrible crap.

GV- poor physics,Lacluster story, terrible voice acting, bland worldworld and half baked gameplay with poor gunplay and driving mechanics.

Real football-Terrible game in every way, inferior to fifa in a.i,gameplay, physics and crap animations.

Customer support has been improved yes but it' still terrible,I've mailed them a number of times regarding technical issues on various games but all I've ever got was restart your device and reinstall, every time.

They don't polish their game either Tasm 2 has trouble running on the latest hardware be it ios or android. It lags terribly on my 5s and even mighty android devices like note 3 fail to run it at anyway near a consistent 30fps,which is important to me regardless of what casuals think.

As far as customer support goes,I've mailed them about current issues,I'll just let them answer your question just wait and see how long they'll take to fix the technical issues in tasm2 and then we'll talk.

And I just mentioned Nova on this thread actually, there's no pattern here.Sure you might not like it but you don't have to you can choose to ignore this if you want,I'm entitled to my opinion and I have justified it with logical reasoning and facts if that upstes you or offends you in any way then I can't do a single thing about it,sorry.Just read your first paragraph you do seem tobe terribly upset that I have a different opinion than yours,I think you should get used to it you'll get that a lot in life.

I doubt that they have released any official info regarding the money they have spent on their recent games,I don't know where you get that info from? Do you have any sources? Any known person in GL?Do you work for them?

To elaborate my point further out of the top 60 critically games according to metacritic score, only 5 are there from 2013 and 0 from 2014,Nova 3 being released in may 2012.
They average a whooping 59.4 during this period which is anything but medicore to terrible.(source metacritic)

Yeah, I agree with you about that they are trying. And it's really great to see their employees are here listening to us giving feedback. And to me it there isn't much difference about quality of their games. But I'm really looking forward to see what MC5 has to offer. The time they took to develop this game was probably a lot more than a year. Since we saw the first in game videos like a year ago I think this one is gonna be a good game.

Hmm let's see. Gameloft ruined NOVA series.
They ruined Dungeon Huntwr series (huge F*** You GL)
Now full price game featured IAP.
And their games are boring as ever.
They been pretty bad with polishing games and optimization. It's like unless you have latest device, you can't really play the game without low framerates.

I can say so much things about how sucky NOVA 3 was... Like that game... Was terrible. Beyond terrible. Stayed up till midnight to download it and play it, until realized game doesn't run well, multiplayer sucked, (hit detection issues, lags, etc)...

Gameloft really are getting worse as year goes

Okay! enough is enough!... everything I log in my email to see a new message ""Modern Combat 5 (By Gameloft)" update" I click on it, hoping to get some news or info about the the game we are all waiting for!. But everything it is someone arguing with someone else, which game or which game device is better hahaha, getting my hopes up and hitting it on the floor hard!. Now you guys that want to argue about which/which/which/ is better, I advice you go create a thread for that, and argue and whine and fight with yourselves all you like... but stop filling up this "Modern Combat 5 (By Gameloft)" update thread with unrelated stuff.... plzzzzzzzzzzzzz thank you, thank you!

Don't know but i think Gameloft was way better on my iPhone 3GS back in 2009-2011 till my iPhone 5.

    100% Agree

    Agree

Agree and Disagree,it was not very bad.

Agree as i said before only MC2 was great and had soul so far.

    Never played that...

    1000000% Agree

    Disagree it was acceptable.

    Unlimited Agree.

I guess Gameloft already left its soul and teams,i remember their golden Java and iphone games between 2004 to 2011.

This! I see the thread blow up, visit expecting some news, and all I find is this absurd bickering over Gameloft "not trying" and "ruining their franchises".

Create a new thread for this or shut up, please.

Seriously, all you game industry and tech "experts" go make your own thread about how Gameloft sucks or doesn't suck. I'm actually just anxiously awaiting a mobile game that I happen to enjoy. I don't need to dissect the story and over analyze the pixels. Its a video game people, key word being "game." In my opinion Gameloft has some pretty solid FPS games. If they change BIA from an on rails cover shooter to an FPS and if I can play MC5 offline then they've done right by me.

    Soooooooo.......

    Back on track,

What happened to the news we are supposed to be getting early this week? Was that made up or are we actually supposed to get MC5 news this week? I see they have posted a few gameplay videos on You Tube but not of MC5 :(

Considering most hands on impressions of the game are almost an year old,I suspect major improvements from those gameplay videos.

It's not their fault. People have been beginning to lose their hopes and dreams with Gameloft, not only Gameloft but other IOS developers too. Everything's changing and we really don't like it, and nothing can be done. There should be some MC5 info coming in soon. But unless it's gameplay, I really wouldn't care. What I expect is- " new map concept art and character models, or an estimated release date," or so call it.

''Modern Combat 5: Blackout will once again take fans on an adventure across the globe, as the player engages in special counter-terrorism operations with the latest and most technologically advanced combat weaponry. The single-player campaign for MC5: Blackout consists of compact and dynamic missions that ratchet up the suspense of each action-packed moments. The development team wanted players to experience the story in a more intense and diverse way than ever before.

The story will indeed begin in Venice, Italy where Phoenix, the main character of the game, is sent on a special operation to secure a transport of WMDs from a particularly well-armed terrorist group. From there the plot will take gamers on a globe-trotting adventure, including a particularly harrowing sequence in Tokyo where Phoenix has to fight amidst total anarchy while trying to convince his allies to accept an uncomfortable secret. By the end, players will have experienced a range of visually-stunning settings, and thrilling action-packed combat sequences.'' Via - Imore.com
