Actually the Vita is dead easy to code for, it has off the shelf quad core A9 CPU and the same quad core GPU as the iPad 3 but clocked faster. Sure their is some customisation but it's not radical.
I'm very confident in it. But then again, I didn't think the last one sucked and I know it wasn't a failure as some seem to think. Maybe not as successful as hoped but a lot of people called MC3 a failure as well around the same time close to MC4 release and that wasn't exactly accurate either. 4 had elements that left room for improvement but it was still the most sophisticated and polished of its type available on the App Store. And it was developed by the same team that did MC3 so it was a logical progression from that so I am a bit confused as to why it seems to be getting so much criticism here as it is very much a progression of one to the other. MC5 is being done by a new team with a new fresh perspective so it will have a lot of differences. I'm not going to compare to vita or console or pc because I don't see them as valid or like for like comparisons and fail to see the point of comparing dedicated gaming devices to multi purpose devices anyway. Looking at some of the comments some people are going to be unhappy no matter what they do but there is no doubt that it will be the most complete, polished and sophisticated incarnation of MC yet and easily well worth the wait.

Every time I see a screen of KZ:M, I kind of paw at my screen and consider a bit more fervently buying a PS Vita. The PS Vita has a bunch of great games. Sure, the 3DS library is a bit more expansive, but they don't have Persona 4, which I've been dying to play.

Actually Vita is more alive than iOS and iOS is dead...where are golden years of iOS in 2009 till 2012? i remember Gameloft always created more games on iOS every month.or Capcom? or EA? or Namco? Get one of those Vita's,since i got mine i almost left my iPhone and PC.besides more games like the best FPS game of year "Borderlands 2" and GOD Collection HD are coming next week. Plus you will see new titles at E3 2014 soon.
I canceled my pre order after saw the footage of BL2 on vita. Looks really bad. Graphics I can deal with? But performance and issues seen in demo is pretty bad.. I remember when resistance came out with early demo and people said oh they are gonna fix frame rate and etc. Nope they didn't fix single thing but added more issues as well as probably worst mp on handheld ever

I sold my Vita a couple of months ago, I never used it, I use my tablet for all my mobile gaming and find it to be much better. Plus I don't have time for gaming on a phone and tablet and handheld and home console plus my computer if I want, my gameing is done on my PS4 and tablet now. And IMO games like Uncharted really should only be played in big screens to get the full impact. And on the Vita you only really have one decent FPS and that's Killzone, COD is dreadfull and not worth the money, yet on a tablet you have tons covering all different genres. Cannot wait for the MC5 news, just hope they keep the games size below 2gb.
Textures are worse than SG,Shader effects still look lame as far as explosions go.To say iphone is harder for them to develop upon is an excuse for a mobile devs who has been doing it for 7+ years and has more than 1000+ employees across the globe.As far as texture go they depend on the system Ram,Iphone 5s has 1gb ddr3 ram,xbox 360 had 512mb ram and Even after allocating much of it to os it still has more ram than the ps3.What you should be expecting are console quality textures here or atleast somewhat close,What you are getting are ps2 quality textures and graphics rendered at a higher resolution. It's the same story with every GL game,You can check it yourself just take your psp version of god of war and run it at the native resolution of your device using ppsspp,then compare it to wild blood.You'll see how even an ancient psp game is able to beat a relatively recent gl game.They have dtopped trying a long time ago,they have that ocassional great game like asphalt 8 and everything else is medicore crap like Capt A and tasm 2.

It can't compare to the vita in terms of quality,there's nothing on ios that can rival all those games add uncharted and borderlands 2 to that list.I don't understand why people update their phone specially form 5 to 5s,I asked the same ques to my brother as he upgraded to 5s from a 5 all he could muster was that it was faster....apart from that the fingerprint recognition.He is also planning on updating to iphone 6 bexause it will be even faster.He probably wants to play angry birds in 4k. Iphone 8 wouldn't have vita quality graphics either no matter how powerful it will be,simply because phone games have poor production values and bigger studios like GL and glu have fallen into the same pattern. There's not a single game on my 5s that looks better than similar vita games maybe apart from Rr3 and FM when ever it will be released.
FM is great and coming to Vita as well i am the beta tester and have to say the game is awesome.i even don't play it much to get the vita version and finish it there. hope to see it retail too.size is almost 4 GB.
I would suggest waiting for the led version to drop prices,it will be much cheaper than the inferior lcd version and you can probably get it for under 130£ as the retailers will be looking to clear their stock and yes persona alone is worth it with borderlands coming soon buying one next month will probably be the best time to buy one,But remember to buy the led version,lcd version is not only inferior but it's much more expensive too.
My most anticipated game on ios this year,From whatever I've seen of it in the last few weeks it looks console quality to me.Hope it lives to those videos.
Well the Vita's poor sales figures more then show it's lack of popularity, perhaps with the PS4 out now more may buy them, but I see no benefit to them. And all those games you listed apart from Injustice and Assasin are just as good on tablets, in fact Modern Combat is better then COD on the Vita is. COD Vita is a crap very very poor game, it even only has 8 player max multiplayers! So in YOUR opinion games on the Vita are better, ask the millions though that play Fifa on their iPhones against their mates and I think you will find a different opinion. And where are the car games on the Vita then? It has some rally games, but no Gran Turismo, yet we have Real Racing on mobiles.
And did you see my VGChart page last page? Vita's game was No.4 in the USA weekly chart higher than PS4 3DS ... Lol Future is important to us not past!!!!!
Who cares where the sale of a game is, the Vita itself has sold very poorly and that means Sony has to really struggle to entice developers to make a game for it. Ask people these days if they would prefer to game on their tablets or smartphones over a handheld and they will say yes.
Have you seen the differences in hardware sales between the 3DS and the Vita? One game doesn't really matter at this point, it's a failure for Sony.
