Seriously, if you want to play COD than just pop the disc in the console and play it.

Actually I also think that knife should have its own button, just like in MC3. It was seriously OP in MC4, even after the update which nerfed it. I mean, heck, I managed to get like around 20 kills in one of my first matches just by going nuts knifing everyone, since with the guns I had without attachments I couldn't do sh!t against guys with prestige and charbtek/compakt. Probably it was not only knife's fault but also sprinting's because of how it was infinite in that game. There is no point in bringing a shotgun to the battlefield when you can go from enemy to enemy mashing the fire button until it becomes the knife button.

Yes, I do agree with that idea, aswell as the ideas of making you have to rank up to get weapons and having new maps and modes. However, the rest is pretty stupid. "Maps like Nuketown and Terminal" and "Dogs/Infected Mode"? That is too much like COD, the Modern Combat series are its own separate game. One thing I wonder is if Gameloft would achieve having 18 players a match. I think that could cause alot of lag, and it would possibly limit iPod players in multiplayer.

I only played the campaigns of some COD games for DS, so IDK what those dogs/infected mode are.
IMO the current number of players is already good, as long as they keep the maps small instead of huge, but hey, Critical Strike manages to get way more than 18 players in one single match, and no lag problems there no matter what map I'm playing, although graphics are worse.

Little short sighted to say that removing the sprint button is crazy. IMO, it makes a lot of sense. Too much crap on the screen limits what you see, and the sprint button was always unresponsive anyway for me at least. Not only that but try swiping fast and do a 180 on an enemy. It is impossible. Why? Because the sensitivity is shit and slow like molasses.

Its even worse if you try and swipe on the sprint button. Try it on full sensitivity. You won't live unless the guy sucks.

Someone needs to complain about this because it actually is an issue. Mc2 was better because it didn't have this. I actually had more fun with mc4 despite the op weapons and rage.

    Look out your window.
    Not really.

I've never had either game lower than 100% sensitivity.

    No it isn't.

I didn't have any problems with the sprint button in either MC3 or MC4. With Nova 3 I had some problems at the start since they changed how it worked there. It's fine as it is.

Of course. The controller support is an Apple's thing, and I'm sure that Apple will like to see games with controller support, which means that games with that will be more often seen in New and Noteworthy than games without it. I'm sure the fact that GL is now using Game Center has to do with the relationship between GL and Apple.
Anyway, for FPS I'm fine with touch controls. I hate controllers for FPS. I just can't stand them.

There's definitely not too much going on in the screen... And sprint button is definitely not an issue, it's one of the best additions to MC series in MC3

Seems like we're complaining here just for its own sake.

    Go get 'em KJ.

Great post, though I might say if you're playing an MC game for the story mode, you're doing it wrong. Hasn't been worth your time since the excellent MC2.

That's what the sprint/vault button is for.

Yeah but I think it would be better if you could jump whenever you want rather than over certain walls, it would free up the map a lot more

You can already access high places by jumping over the obstacles with the sprint button in MC4. This is more than enough, jumping isn't necessary at all.

Too much screen clutter; the vault/sprint button more than allows you to get around the map. The whole tactical movement system was a huge step up with MC4. If any of the controls need changing, it's holding the crouch button to go prone.

Its certainly starting to look that way.
I'd have to agree with you that the sprint and the tactical movement system are spot on and essential parts of the game now and that a jumping button is totally and utterly unnecessary for this particular game.
I don't even see why it would be needed or the sprint button needs to be removed. It just makes no sense to the game mechanics.
And its not gonna happen anyway.
