I've been looking around on the MC5 Facebook page and they replied to someone asking when the update was, and on December 3rd they said it would be in a few weeks and close to Christmas, so hopefully it will be on the 18th or when the appstore shuts down.
The release of MC5 was delayed several times so there's a chance the update will be delayed to after the holidays especially considering how much stuff is supposed to be included in it (which is why frequent smaller updates would be better). Personally, I'd rather wait a little more if it means they make things right, rather than push an update that breaks more stuff.
I'm pretty sure it was delayed already, they said that it would be releasing a few weeks after the mask contest, that was over a month ago, and we haven't had any news for a week nearly so they must be going quiet about something.
What delayed it from a last week release was integration of a fix for the "players" using a html code in the chat to crash the game on other people. It became a priority fix due to the number of people using it and the widespread affect it was having. Plus, they had to integrate banning measures for those that have used it (and those that used it WILL BE BANNED) and the other hacks that surfaced. It will possibly receive an expedited approval from Apple which would allow it to be out anytime between now and Friday.
Looking forward to this. Thanks for the info Rip. I wonder why GL is so quiet now that the update is imminent compared to all the teasing of a few weeks back. Oh well, at least is great news.
Looks like there's a flashlight on his gun, but I don't think their adding more attachments and a flashlight would be useless in multiplayer.
I've logged hundreds of hours into BF3 but I just think the player base would find it very annoying in this game, even more annoying than it is in BF3. I feel like everyone would use it and the game would get very boring with just everyone being blind the whole time. Hopefully they wouldn't add flashlights.
Have and will always love MC multi-plyr, but I've honestly been playing Captain Strike non stop. Lol?
Captain Strike is quite a lot of fun, I'd have to agree with you there. They did get the in game pacing in that one very good. It's a very valid alternative with effective weaponry across the board.

I liked Divide so much more than Scramble, Divide was probably the best map from MC3 along with Alert, I would like to see the ORIGINAL Alert map, not a revamped one, MC4 version was so much worse.
Sure, what about new modes, like zone control, hunter( where people are killing an alien, or a predator.) Nope, nope they are just remastering old maps. Yeeeeeeee...## And gameloft never listen. Why not balancing skills? Like in mc4 Make the skill more useful. Really double damaged skill. When you can just use a better gun
