It seems I've lost all my progression again. That's on a fresh install of iOS 8 (set up as new). See, there's a reason why I'm so eager for bug fixes. I had progressed much further this time too (maxed out Recon, most of the perks for Assault, Heavy and I'd started upgrading Sniper). Same thing happened again. Took a break from playing, came back, game reconnected, started playing a MP match and I was stuck with the Tier 1 weapon of Recon class. Exit MP match, rating was 0. Checked Recon loadout and it was still maxed out but MP matches did not reflect that. Deleted, re-installed. Everything was wiped out. Tried logging in and out of Game Center, Apple ID, force reboot and so on to no avail.
NOOOOOOOOOOO. I wonder if there is anything Gameloft can do this time, edit you characters details on there servers or something... As there are no currencies in game they cant exactly give you that... gutted for you
Just being overly optimistic but what if they are taking so long because this next update is going to be masive, fix everything, add heaps of maps, new weapons, controller support, and what we have all been waiting for..... Masks... Oh and just want to mention that on my iPad Air frame rate is fine most of the time but does have hiccups, can't put this down to the game though as it only happens in multi player and I have shitty Internet speed.
All we've heard of so far is just the "new" (old) map from MC4 and the masks. I think the reason its taking so long is the mask contest on facebook.
im scared that these masks will be unlocked by some objectives and give boosts do dmg, acc, etc. Gameloft should tweak the actual attachments instead of doing this with masks
And if these masks had been released at Halloween with the contest in September this would have made more sense. Now they'll most probably be included in December. On top of that, I hardly look at other players' faces. This should not be a priority. I'm starting to think (and it's speculation) the dev team in Bucharest are struggling to come up with bug fixes just like they struggled to meet the release deadline and had to push it back, and they are giving us easy to implement scraps to ease the wait.
As long as it's cosmetic only and can give an incentive for the devs to work on the core functions of the game, I have no problem with it.
This thread has become quite dull to read. Everyone in here is bitching and moaning about GL and the lack of information they seem to give out. Look at it from their side, everytime they do tell the community something it just gets ripped apart by us (I am guilty as well). They could tell us we are all getting free cake and beer and we would probably shout them down because it was carrot cake and bud lite. I agree that there are bugs that need to be fixed, and we really do need some more content on the MP side. But I am sure they are working on it, and we will get information when it's available. Just have some patience...
Hi Everyone, lurked this thread for a while but, first time I've posted. I had a question for those of you who've played both MC5 and MC4: is MC4 still worth buying/playing ? I haven't played a FPS since DOOM on the PC (yea I'm old), but have to say I've had a pretty good time with this one, but after about a month of playing on/off, it's gotten pretty.... boring, honestly. I didn't know if there was still enough of a userbase on MC4 to make it worthwhile, and didn't want to blow $7 just to find out. Also I don't really understand the IAP structure on MC4, which makes me a little leery, esp after seeing what GL did with Asphalt 8. I guess there's a MC4 forum on here somewhere I could ask as well, just thought it would be interesting to hear from those of you who play/played both 4 and 5. Anyhow, thanks for all the other good info in the thread !
Buy mc4 for a offline single player And a deeper character costumization in multiplayer. The skill are well balanced Buy mc5 if u want the best graphic and a really boring campaigns. I own mc3, mc4, mc5 for a while. And I can tell u mc5 is a really bad game The multiplayer is not well balanced. There is no counter skill like in mc4 Mc5 have great knife animation, but knife strike sould be fast and effective. In mc5 the best class is the sniper class. Don't call me out on this. Let me explain The hand guns are more power full than the assault rifle, and the great amount of mobility the sniper class offer is amazing. If you stick to your had gun u will have a lot of kills in multiplayer. Spawn kill In capture the flag your ennemies can just camp at your spawning location and u will loose. Mc5 is a joke comparing to mc3, mc4 . And now that ea gain interest in ios with Battlefeild, which will get activision more interested in making a call of duty game on ios, mc5 will be a ghost game
First off welcome Secondly, I would check out gamelofts bundles. If you bought MC5 at full price you may be able to pick up MC3 and 4 for a couple of bucks. MC4 is different to 5, there is no unified progression etc, so you have to grind through MP to get the coins etc to upgrade to a better weapons. And that is going to be fairly hard. Most people playing mc4 nowadays have been around a while so rank pretty high, and are good at it! If you don't mind dieing then you'll be fine, but if you are about Kd ratio (which is pointless IMO) the. You may be in for a shock. There are more maps and modes, so it will keep you interested for longer. Zone control is a fun game mode As for the IAP I can't fully remember, but I think there is one currency for purchasing new guns and stuff, and another which you can buy consumables which I think are only used in SP. Someone else can probably say more about it! That's about all I can think of for now, if you can get it cheap then I would say go for it, it is still a good game that can be good fun, just don't expect to be kicking to much a**
@johnhyquest. As Mess said, check out the bundles. If you have MC5 at full price, mc4 will be cheap. As to get it or not, absolutely get it The in match pacing is much higher and just "quicker" basically. It is plenty active and actually easier to get a match. As to iap, forget about it and never buy it. You'll be wasting money on stuff that you'll earn easily in the game. I've everything bought and about a million of in game currency and nothing to do with it. The currency model won't be changing on this game either at this stage so don't worry. You will die a lot early, lots of vets playing but balancing is good, pacing is excellent, no sign of hackers since last update, and quite a lot of fun. Plenty of people still playing and I'm getting lots of full matches. Also be sure and played ranked matches and not custom ones. You'll see the choice in the multiplayer main menu. Don't play custom because you earn nothing in custom matches. They are just for longer matches. The Ranked matches are the ones that count to xp and currency. You will still be able to play all he selection of maps and modes in ranked, you just won't be able to create longer matches. The ranked quick game (ten minute match) is my default go to. Long story short (too late), yes buy it. It is an easy recommendation. You might even enjoy it a bit more as the pacing is better on it.

I don't care abt k/d ratio and getting slaughtered for a while lol, just honestly sorta bored with the 4 maps on MC5. I like the game just, thought maybe this would give me something new to mess with until/if they come out with some new MC5 maps. And thanks for the explanation on the IAP, I was just concerned that it might be like what they did with Asphalt 8 (making it, for all intents and purposes, that you have to pay to win), b/c I went down that road and felt pretty burned by GL over that.
Just a tip/update for anyone (IOS users) in the same boat: Apparently if you are still on IOS 7, the "app bundles" don't show up on the app store, on the device itself. But there is a workaround to still find them: - Open Itunes on your mac/pc - Find the "itunes store" link or tab - Click on the "app store" tab - you'll have to scroll around/down/sideways for a little while, but you should see some sort of "banner ad" type things. Dig around and you should see one that says "introducing bundles" - After you click on that, you'll get a page that has, bundles bundles everywhere - I went under "game bundles" and then "see all" - And here again, bundles bundles everywhere. you'll have to scan thru and hunt and peck but, eventually you should see "modern combat pack". - Then you can click on that and prob see diff purchase options depending on what you own etc. - From here, if you use Itunes to synch already, you can just d/l them to your PC/mac and then synch (thats how I usually do it). But after youv'e purchased it, they should also show up under the "purchased" tab in the app store on your device, and you should be able to d/l them directly to the device, as far as I can tell. For me, since I bought MC5 at full price, I was able to get the other 2 for $3, which isn't too bad I don't think. Just wanted to post that in case anyone else was like me and wondering, where are these "bundles" that everyone else is talking about.
Im disappointed with the last update for iPhone 6 Plus. With higher res, the game runs suc* now. WTH i have to do with this update. I even emailed the dev team and no feedback. This game really bad.
