Well, I think the Asphalt 8 update was pretty good though compared to this one. I just hope they sort it out cuz in this state it's a pain to play.
Can we please stop arguing about MC5 v. Vita graphics? It's an unimportant and kinda stupid topic. Instead we should argue about if chocolate or glazed donuts are better.
Chocolate. And yeah I agree. The reason I was bored of the comparison is that it has been done to death...
*dramatically takes of glasses* That's sounds awesome! Edit: I was supposed to quote the chocolate covered glazed donut. Oops.
Yeah but it still shouldn't be $8.01 for one game that should be $6.99. Hopefully Apple finds a way to balance issues like these.
It should be realized that iOS device have to dedicate a portion of the processing power for the OS which will be always running in the back ground and take priority over games. This is like comparing consoles and computers when consoles first came out (though no longer relevant with modern console as computer are way too powerful compared to consoles). Though how much metal will help is to be determined.
I want to get this game but 1. is the story as long as MC4? and 2. can I play this with 3G or does it always need wifi?
I thought you needed a wifi connection for multiplayer. Haven't checked that though. If not then you will need a fairly fast and stable 3G connection. I can get away with playing on a 2mb uncontended link, but only just...
We could also argue about how the game is inferior to KZM in pretty much every other way if graphics aren't your thing...
Or we could not you know. Because there are about zero people who actually care. Well maybe 2, and you both have KZM, so go play it rather than bitching about an 'inferior game'. Awesome I had wondered but don't have a good enough reception to try. It would also mean putting it on my 4S which has zero space already
I've noticed that the support guys don't ever reply to technical issues specially framerate issues which have existed since day 1.If GL were going to fix them they already would have.If look at their other games they don't ever optimise them,They may add some fancy filler like extra costume and other crap but hey never optimise their games Tasm2,Mc5,Nova3,Gv all get stupid content updates but no performance updates. In short don't hold your breath this is GL,You shoud pratice playing it at that crappy Fps forever until the new iphone releases,Or better stop buying their games.Even indies do a better job at supporting their games look at 'oceanhorn' or FoursaKen.
Looking at the level of negativity you have about Gameloft support and "optimisation", perhaps you should consider following you're own advice. I'd imagine it would result in less stress or frustrations. Yes, a fix is being worked on. It never actually stopped. They weren't exactly given a lot of time by Apple when they were asked to have the Metal updates ready for ios 8 release date. So expect another update to sort it out. There is no time frame on it yet.
Alright maybe I will for the future until they learn to do so,I'm just stating the obvious anyway you mostly never see any performance update from them,It's either a bug fix or new content one.for example Tasm2 has been on the store forever now and they 'still' haven't fixed it there's a very small chance they would do so in the future.I think negativity is justified for jumping hoops and whatnot to get the game running on my phone(renew data pack) for it's single player on my phone only to be letdown by a crap unstable framerate and whole lot of stuttering which totally kills any fun I can have with a first person shooter,Don't know about you but it does affect some of us to a large degree.Once in a while it's excusable but not for each and every game they release either optimise it or better don't release it. I've owned handhelds before and I haven't had such a bad experience from any one particular developer on psp,Vita or 3ds and even fewer on consoles.Watch dogs and Bf4 were the only 2 games that troubled me and they've been fixed by numerous updates,Tasm2 and Mc5 on ios are 'still' problematic months after their release. In short: My experience with their customer service and support team has been unsatisfactory and same is the case with numerous technical issues that they don't ever resolve for most of their games,So negativity is justified as far as I'm concerned.
