Has anyone ever had problems with this? Curious if that has cause you problems having logged into other things on your iPad under your 'usual' Apple ID and GameCenter under the new one.
Trying to level a sniper class. I find myself getting annoyed, switch to leveled recon. More annoyed. Switch to leveled assault.
There's now a survey in the news section asking what people want with the next update (new MP maps, new weapons, new perks, new single player levels or a new class). I'll take that as a good sign.
A sign of good PR, yeah. So I've completed 100% of the story mode again (including all MP matches included in the SM) and you can basically upgrade a whole class and a half plus get a Tier 4 weapon through completing the story. Not bad but still frustrating for someone who lost his save.
What I should've said is that it's a good sign that they're going to give us more content in the future, but a bad sign that they haven't even decided what the content will be yet. Still, people who are waiting for an update should go on and do the (very) quick survey. As for SP, I still haven't finished it. Made good progress my first time through, but wasn't motivated enough for it the 2nd time. Just stuck to grinding the same level.
You should definitely go through SP. It's a pain but some of the missions give you skill points which makes progress much faster than through XP. They better give us more content in the future. I remember the dev team saying the reason MC5 would be released with only 4 maps and modes is because they wanted to get some feedback from players and create new content accordingly. FWIW, I completed the survey but I hope they won't base everything on just feedback gathered through it. They should browse through here and other forums to get an idea what the real feedback is, but I'm sure they are. Also, I would prefer they focus their time on fixing bugs instead of pushing new content.
This was what Update 1 focused on. The team still has a lot of feedback to take into consideration and the game isn't perfect, but I think Update 1 helped get things moving further in the right direction for QOL. I know they have cool plans for new content and it's just now a matter of time!
Hearing this right after losing my progression sounds like an understatement. I don't doubt it and I'm in no hurry. While most people would most probably want new content asap I'd rather have a solid bug-free game with quality gameplay on 4 maps rather than a mess on 12. What makes or breaks a MP game isn't so much the number of maps, weapons and so on, but whether or not the gameplay works which has to do with a multitude of aspects: the quality of maps, a well though-out weapon system (balancing, upgrading...), lag free and bug free experience as much as possible, a solid anti-hack system, the players who decide to stick with it or not, etc. This is what I want above all but I understand that the particular audience of these games, on these platforms, probably put pressure on the dev team to try and "please the crowd".
Is the multiplayer on this game good? J heard that the game itself is short and that it's more focused on the multiplayer.
It depends on your experience with MP games and if you're ready to accept the fact that a MP game on a mobile device won't compare to its console or PC counterparts.
So I've finally unlocked the Tier 5 weapons of Recon. There's a very clear difference between my K/D ratio before and after. All of a sudden, I find myself getting kills where I used to struggle in the same sort of situations before. The difference is striking, even compared to a T4 weapon. I see a lot of players who jump in directly into the MP, without going through the story and getting the SP and XP and I don't think they understand they just don't stand a chance without these upgrades. Hacking seems to have slowed down but Heavy nade spamming with the grenade launcher is an at all time high. For those who complain about the RED being OP, it's nothing compared to how powerful a fully upgraded Heavy class can be.
I've put in perhaps ~20 hours into this. By contrast MC4 got around 60, MC3 around two hundred (I think...). Is it partly me outgrowing gaming? Yeah. But another factor is the always-online - I have to be at home to play this. And if I'm home, I see zero reason to pick up this over something on my gaming PC. It's just that simple. The third and most important reason this hasn't seen much playtime from me is the game itself - the weapon balance stinks. Instead of having 12-15 guns to tweak and choose from, You have what, 4? 5? guns that you can pick from, the rest too underpowered to truly compete. It discourages experimentation and completely eliminates the thought put into weapon/class tweaking in MC4 and even MC3. Ultimately, everyone's going to fall into one of four almost identical classes, with nearly identical perks and attachments. That's not fun, and it's not good game design. As fans, we're impossible to please, I know. Au contraire to the above points, I respect immensely the courage it took to put this out as a premium title, and wish it the best of success. It's just not my kind of game. Also, the unified progression bit is great.
Does anyone know how mfi controller support is coming along? It's a great game but being able to aim with one finger and shoot with another would make this game just so much better
Less lag in menus with the update. Still laggy in multiplayer with the control glitches were you can't move your character correctly.
When they release maps, I reaaaally hope they release a few maps and not just one or two. I am so tired of these starting 4 maps, I don't think I want to play them ever again lol
I don't really understand this. I'm not getting tired of the maps at all. Gameplay is what makes a match to me, not having a hundred different maps. Maybe it's because I mainly play CTF...
Really? I was never a big fan of these maps to begin with to be honest. I really enjoyed MC4 maps like Dog Days and Extraction, I do enjoy some variety as well.
