I just got this for android, nexus 7, 2nd gen and imo, this is the best in the series, animations, physics and graphics are excellent. The only problem I have had is connecting to MP games? I'm wondering if iOS players are having problems also connecting to online play? When I do get in, ( I usually have to clear cache, do a hard reset). I have enjoyed the game immensely and I'm glad they altered the controls from the previous MC3 and MC4, it seems to run more smoothly. Anyway, Gameloft says they are working on the server/connection problem. Hopefully that gets fixed soon. The game is a blast.
Yeah sometimes the servers lag a bit, making it hard to connect, but thats pretty rare. For the most part there isn't a problem.
I haven't had any issues connecting to MP (iOS) while I had many with MC4. Connection problems are really hard to debug as it depends on each users quality of internet service, location, wifi setup and speed and so on. It could be so many things causing the issue other than GL's servers. However it's my understanding that Android and iOS users don't use the same servers and it's common knowledge that developing for Android is much more of a headache because of fragmentation. I don't know how that would affect server connectivity if at all though.
I dont think that would affect server connectivity at all. Playing on android and have no problems connecting, must be a issue with his internet. Only had problems connecting once and the server was down on ios at the same time.
So as others have pointed out, it seems the rating system is buggy. I played quite a few matches tonight and I've won them all with a score higher than my global rating yet it has lowered. Doesn't make any sense. Honestly although I enjoy the game these bugs and the lack of communication regarding whether or not all these issues are being worked on or not, future developments, at this point anything would help really, are staring to get on my nerve. edit: it seems at least some of the issue are being addressed HERE
good to see they are aware of it, but I dont really pay any attention to the rankings! I have been having good fun running around trying to shoot people with the hand gun in my last few games! May play sniper a bit now I have a half decent hand gun, but I don't know if I can cope with my man wearing that stupid hat...
I'll have to check things out. I have pretty good internet in Arizona. My steam games connect well to online servers. It's just my tablet that has trouble with this game? I'll have to do some research on this. It sure is a bummer because this is the best combat game on mobile, imo. Everytime I get into a lobby, I get a "servers are temporarily overloaded" ?
Why is he wearing that hat for anyways? It may just be some settings you have to tweak on your router.
It's not just your Internet, but many other variables including where you're located in relation to the servers you're connecting to, number of users currently on the server, quality of the net code, etc
Well it seems its practically impossible to play CTF without speed hackers now. I've also seen players perched on top of roofs/ balcony. This has been going on for a while and GL has so far done nothing about it. The hacking is making paying at least CTF useless. edit: also have some of you encountered Assault class with what seems to be recon abilities? I know you can predict the opposite team's strategy to a certain extent but some seem to literally see through walls without recon in the air, drone or spawn spectating.
They 'levelled' the red and impact grenades (this doesn't seem to have done anything) There are speed hackers in iOS now. Nothing else of note.
Yeah I have came across tons of speed hackers in iOS now there needs to be an easier way to report these people rather then jumping through all the hoops Do they look like another class? Because sometimes when am recon I will pick up the last tier 5 shotgun and rock with that
Out of interest, has anyone else noticed how the second shotgun's 3D model is kind of cut off? It's really obvious when you're reloading... (look in the bottom right corner) Anyway, it's kind of interesting just how much better the game plays on my new nvidia shield tablet (compared to the Galaxy S2), having a big, high resolution screen and a stable, smooth framerate really helps.
It's not cut off, that's what it looks like. There is no buttstock or anything further back from the grip so there is nothing more to be there. Look at it in the armoury when you've equipped it to the soldier, scroll him around and you'll see there is nothing more to show or that should be there.
It's a real shame, that there are still these cheaters on Modern Combat. Unfortunately this has been around since Modern Combat 1. I don't understand how these hackers get their jolly's off by cheating to win. I would much rather lose and play on an even level, than hack the system to gain an advantage. It is a lot more fun to be competitive, than to have wins handed to you.
Yep don't understand it either. It is funny though when they decide to stop and shoot and are rubbish!!
