Only tbh I am hoping apple increases there base storage (like Everyman and his dog) but I won't hold my breath. Anyone else think that the flag locations should be mixed up a bit. Like have a few different locations for them which are randomised? It would be nice if the CTF battles on canals weren't just in the same place, and you can fairly consistently get the flag by going the long way. Likewise on Rooftops, 'round the outside (steal)through the door, down and then up the stair, back through door and score' worked 3 times last night in one match. Would be nice to fight underneath of one flag on the roof one somewhere else or something. Construction is ok, but again some variation would be good. Streets is the best layout for CTF IMO.
Too damn expensive fir just a memory upgrade,I doubt anyone would need more than 64gb really.Save those 200$ and buy something better a vita/3ds or a better graphic card or something.200$ for a memory upgrade is same as putting your mobey on fire imo.
Last time I checked a Vita or a DS aren't iPads. Also how would I install a graphics card in an iPad Don't really want to get into a heated debate, as I agree that Apples prices to upgrade memory are ridiculous. But some people may need the larger storage. Also saying it's putting money into a fire is a bit stupid, as if I need more storage then on an iPad there is only one way to get it...
I don't want make a mess either but really there is this value for money thing. You can buy things which will give you hours of better quality entertainment in a much similar or bette way than your ipad,I just think it's stupid to pay such a hefty amount just for an memory upgrade.Unless you're filthy rich then I think everything goes. Some people buy sli titans when a single one would do the exact same job on their hd monitor,Most of them aren't even that rich.Waste of money really imho.
I'd say wait for a next gen iPad to purchase more memory. I use my iPad more like a laptop, not like a vita or pc... Its a tablet, quite a unique experience Nahh its all good, its pretty easy to manage lol
That was kind of my point. An iPad is not just for gaming. Yes having more space will enable me to have a couple more games, but it will also let me download and keep installed productivity tos such as keynote or docs. Also I will be able to have more music on there. There are more reason to upgrade than such games. If I had the money and the desire to, I probably would buy an Xbox if I actually wanted a games console. Ok cool, always happy to help though
Haven't checked this thread in a while, are there hackers now? I've seen guys with super speed and now I'm being shot at by people behind walls..
Touch Arcade members squad TA Delta still has a few open spots. Clan is focused on active players who like to group up and play Multiplayer and or Squad battles. To join just friend chaosprodigy on Game Center and wait for invite.
Yeah I get shot by guys behind walls all the time. Apparently that's one of the setbacks of playing a game like this on a touchscreen device.
I have been hit a few times when I couldn't explain how it happens. Most of the time I presume it's lag, or that I am sticking out slightly and don't realise it!
I agree that it's expensive for a storage upgrade but saying it's like putting money on fire doesn't make sense. If I had the $$ I would jump on a 128GB iPad. I use mine as a laptop replacement as well as music production and practice tool. Those 128GB would be used I guarantee it. It would also allow me to torrent directly on it instead of having to use my desktop as a server. I like the idea but it means they would have to move spawn areas with the flag. Considering how bad spawning is at the moment already I think it would create a huge mess. Also, like I said below, people are starting to use the maps in a more clever way. It used to be that as you mentioned going the long way worked every time and you encountered no one on those alternative routes but I've started to see some players use them now. In a few weeks, CTF should be way more interesting. I don't think you understand how some people use their iPads. Gaming is an afterthought for me for example. A lot of the music apps I use are bigger than 500MB, some over 1GB each and that's before recording music in them (wav files use A LOT of storage space). 720p movies are between 1.5 and 2GB in size each. High quality music files also use a lot of storage. If you happen to shoot videos with your iPad, you'll run out of space very quickly too. Etc... I've encountered a few speed hackers but not too often fortunately. Getting shot behind walls happens and as Mess said it could be lag or sticking out. Honestly I think it's lag. When I commit suicide a couple of seconds after one of my grenades has exploded I think it's fair to say lag is a big problem in this game. If any of you are playing at odd hours (like between 12 and 3AM EST), please join the squad so we can have squad battles. Quick question for you guys: you know how the screen fades away and you're teleported back to your spawn area at the end of a CTF match if there's a draw? Has any of you experienced the same thing but in the middle of a match? It's happened a few times and I don't see why or how?
Yeah its happened to me a few times. Usually happens after I kill someone, then I would just respawn/teleport without dying. It doesnt count as a death though or anything, it just teleports me. Anothing thing, if you kill someone right as the match is about to start (during the screen fade), it counts as a kill in the match's official score.
Yeah I've noticed this. You can get a few bonus points for first kill this way too. I wonder what the reason for the respawn bug could be...
I think that it only happens when I join in the middle of a match? Not 100% sure though. Maybe something goes wrong as you join the match and it just registers it as a new match that is barely starting. It probably does the whole countdown thing in the background and then once it hits 0 it refreshes your spawn point. Not sure though, just pulling this out if my *** for all I know lol
I've noticed both of those. I get the feeling that the teleporting thing is to prevent spawn sniping because usually, a split-second before it happens, I see someone spawn in the same place as I was. Just a guess though.
Possible. However it means the "background countdown" would start at a random moment in the match because I've respawned way after the first few seconds it would take for the countdown to end. Maybe you're right but instead of a "join-the-match countdown", it is a countdown similar to when you want to join a match with a friend and the team you're in has numerical advantage. That would make it a minute or until the opposing team has enough players to balance the teams. Another possibility, however it hasn't happened near spawn areas for me, and I can easily spawn kill for a while without being teleported. It's actually a strategy some teams have started using in CTF: push and kill opposite team members in your path until you reach the spawn area, spawn kill everyone while someone grabs the flag and takes the shortest route back. It's always possible someone on the opposite team has either spawned somewhere else, was already on its way to your flag or just simply succeeded to avoid being spawned killed but it's a great strategy that yields great results. It also satisfies those who want to grab the flag and win the battle above all and those who care about their K/D ratio and number of kills. Everyone's happy (except the ones being spawn killed )
Don't think it's that myself, as Eternal said, spawn sniping has become the way to play CTF, especially on streets (which really needs it's flag locations changed IMO) I think that it's probably just a glitch. Probably the server getting confused about who needs to spawn, so just spawns you anyway.
Can someone check if they have me as a friend in Game Center? Edit: Derp I'm stupid, didn't realize one of the games I'm testing doesn have game center support yet lol. Carry on
