@ryan, thanks - understand you can only tell us what you have been told - just when you see the opposite happening in game it's very confusing also I had another 'win battle, score higher than rank, rank goes down' scenario last night Also as others said, it's awesome to have someone from GL in these forums! I won my first FFA match yesterday, I think I have played less than 10 of that mode but always lost. There was about 8 in the game, on rooftops, and I started about 1/2 minutes down and 6 kills of the top spot. It quickly became a 2 horse race between me and the guy who was on top, had a few sneaky kills by running around the sides and catching people going up the ladder, or entering the door. There was surprisingly few people on the roof, and the major battles were in the big room below it, had a nice couple of kill streaks whilst in there - stood in a corner and killed everyone as they tried to kill each other . I managed to sneak kills in to level it up and send it to OT, twice, was nice to see that it wasn't sudden death but just another minute added, had a kill streak at the end of the second OT that took me about 4 clear, and got me the win. Stopped playing after that, as it seemed a good way to end the game! If only I had recorded it, would probably have made a good video to watch back I gave up on mine long ago, in fact when I first started playing and had around a 0.4 kd As far as I can tell it has no use, none of the TLE have been based on it, and you don't get any rewards. Its just so you can say 'I have the highest rank', or your squad can be elitist. The ranking doesn't reflect the true skill of the player
Guys, don't think that way. K/D and ranking score is everything. If it drops, you didn't played well. Try harder next time. (kidding)
We I fashioned a red out of a stick and a coke bottle and have been playing GC5 (Garden Combat 5) to practise. Unfortunately the swings, trampoline and cat don't make very realistic opponents In other news I was just playing some CTF with Electrocat, and saw my first hacker. It was a speed hack, I got a screen grab of the username, I will stick it up tomorrow as attachments aren't working on the mobile app for me. Any other places I should send it? It really sucked as he would just run past everyone. He wasn't particularly good either (I purposely died to get the screen grab)
What does speed hack mean? Like he can run faster in the game? It's a bummer that people hack and ruin the fun but hopefully gameloft can catch them and put always online method to good use like they did with the whole mess when the game was leaked early.
The filter on the global and squad discussions needs some heavy fixing. All I said was "battle", which is part of 2 of their game modes, and I got censored and disconnected for suspicious behavior!
Running faster is an understatement. It only takes speed hackers a couple of seconds to run from one side to the other on the construction map. You can imagine playing CTF against one of these mofos is infuriating.
This exactly! On Canals it was like 'they have got our flag' pause for 3/4 seconds 'they've scored' Guess I will PM Ryan, but he's on holiday I think... Maybe I will look for an email today

They dont need to be good. Run stop shoot, Run stop shoot. By the time you realise where they are they have run on again to somewhere else, or behind you and shoot you again. The guy I saw was actually pretty rubbish, and managed to fluke a few kills, but mainly was capturing the flag to rush back as score those points - 600 points a go means at least 2300 (3x600 + 500 for winning) per match!
Exactly. All speed hackers I've encountered just plain sucked. It was really easy to kill them when they decided to stop and shoot.
