Nah, my average is below 1 due to a really poor start at MP (I mean really poor, like a 0.4 kd ratio for about a week) Also Ryan said it only about the score at the end of the game...
Hmmm. Am I the only one whose rating drops, at times, when achieving a score that is higher than my average?
Yeah that's my question, it only happens if I lose a match, so that must be part of the equation - but Ryan says otherwise!
Yeah thats not the problem, I think. It happens even what I win a match. I only play FFA now and I get around 2700-4000 per game. I don't ever recall getting any lower, but I end up losing points at times or staying the same. What do you guys think about squad battles counting towards your personal rating, not just the squad rating? I have mixed opinions and I'm not sure whether I like it or not. Also what do you guys think of the personal rating system. How it is based on average and not based on points like the squad rating?
I don't mind the personal rating being affected by the squad battles, you are playing MP after all just squad vs squad. As for the single player rankings, I don't think a points system would work as well. There would be a heavy bias towards the games with higher points thresholds, Team battle and FFA for example. CTF players would be screwed as at most you would get 3 points for a win. I can't remember how they worked in MC4, but it was different! I would just like to know exactly how the scoring works
Yeah I was thinking the same I guess. It is a bit annoying though how you'll get into squad matches that are 2v2 and end up being extremely slow. You'll then end up with an extremely low score, causing your rating to go down significantly. Thats why I was asking about the point system, I think it couldve made things more fair because your points wouldn't go down simply because of the lack of players. I guess its more of the actual rating system that I'm debating on, not squad battles affecting the rating system. Because as you said, it is a competitive gamemode like the other ones so it should affect the players rating, but the current rating system doesnt suit it well. By a point system I mean like how Order and Chaos has it or the Squad Battle gamemode in MC5 has it or really just most rating systems in general. Each player starts off with x amount of points (usually 1k) and if you compete against a team and win you'll get x amount of points based on their total average points. If you lose, then you'll lose x amount of points based on their total average points. If you're competing against higher averages, then you'll only lose a small amount of points or win a surplus amount of points. If you're competing against similar averages, then you'll lose a reasonable amount of points or win a reasonable amount of points If you're competing against a team whose average rating is lower, then you'll lose a surplus amount of points or win a small amount of points. I didn't give a too accurate explanation but its something along the lines of that.
So there are a handful of SP missions where they want you to use x-amount of scout drones. Wondering where you are supposed to get them. I imagine there must be a box of them somewhere in these missions. Any ideas?
scout drones are on the right hand side, were the grenade's are, its a circle looking thing. they 'regenerate' so you can just keep using them
Wow. This is just so great, simply great. After having trouble with my download always being deleted and leaving me with only chapter one and chapter 2 to play ( I have no wifi at home), I decided to delete the game and reinstall from the appstore so that I can get the "download with wifi" option again and untick it. What happened after download? Bam!! The game cannot verify the authenticity of the application pop up comes up. I deleted it and redownloaded again from appstore 3 more times still it persists. I signed out of appstore, iCloud and Game Center and resigned in but still no luck. I do not understand how paying customers could be punished like this. I swear I would not be glancing at any gameloft game anymore after this nonsense I have been through with this game and the amazing spiderman when it was online only. What pisses me off is that I am level 44 with almost all weapons unlocked playing the useless spec op missions over and over and over and now the reality has dawned on me that I may lose all that progress. This is just ridiculous. Up till now I still can't play the game. We'll done Gameloft. I have written customer care and expecting a reply. If they do not reply till tomorrow, I would request a refund from Apple and wash my hands off this ridiculous company.
They're usually pretty quick on responses compared to other companies. I know it can be frustrating but try to bare with them if you can. Sorry to hear this :/

Must be an issue at gamelofts end then. I will think twice before buying another game like this. I payed for the game so i should be able to play it when i want, i understand that games have problems with multiplayer every now and then but not being able to play singleplayer sucks!!!
Cheers, I'll hold off until it's sorted then. Last one was one of the better FPS games I've played on a mobile.
I had the exact same problem as you! The thing is that scout drones use the same button as grenades, and you need to swipe to change between the two. (Put your finger on the button first then slide it to either side.) Make sure you do it quickly though, because otherwise you'll throw a grenade. The same thing applies to "berserk" for Assaults and "medkit" for Heavies. Hope this helped!
When I return from vacation I'll try to get a better understanding/explanation for the system works. I think it'll be easier once we all get an idea of what's going to be addressed and added in the first update. Right now there are a lot of questions that I, along with the Game CM, are trying to get answers for. Until then, both of us will do our best to keep people in the know. That's what I was told >.< Like I said above, I'll put it on my to-do list after returning from vacation and will try to get a better explanation/understanding of the rating system. Yeah, sorry for that, I would have been on here earlier in the day but the things I need to get done before leaving keeps growing and growing! The servers should all be back up and stabilized now.
