+1. I just wish GL would update the running animation of Recon class. When you run with a pistol it seems like you're running slightly faster with Assault than Recon because of the animation. I timed both and they seem to have more or less the same speed though. I also wish Recon could carry more nades...
Yeah they should speed up the running for recon just a bit & replace the first skill with a skill that makes the (upgrade 1) switching guns animation & ADS animation // (upgrade 2) grenade tossing animation & knifing animation 100% quicker. Instead of completely removing the animations like how it does for sprinting right now. I think 2 grenades are fine no need to amp up the explosives lol but then again I personally am not a fan of explosives. Imo they should get rid of the second upgrade for "Improved Gearbox" and make it a max of +1 grenade and tweak down the "Assault Rifle Mastery" to 5% & 15%
Here's my shot at a pistol guide. (hah, get it? Shot? ...) Pistols are nothing short of amazing. At least, the later tier ones. The Ratog pro, the tier 5 pistol, can kill a 100% health soldier in 2 shots. PROS: -Good damage per shot -High mobility -Good accuracy NEUTRAL: Range Reload speed CONS: -Less than average firing speed (0.41 seconds per bullet, slowest - 0.2 seconds per bullet, fastest) -bad clip size -bad customizability -poor ADS SUGGESTIONS: The sniper kit is the best for pistols, followed closely by the recon class. Snipers gain a maximum of 50% additional damage. Pair that with the highest damage dealing pistol, each shot weighs in at 85% damage per shot. That's huge. The Ratog pro, the most powerful pistol, is a great choice. However, it's poor clip size (6 only, not upgradable) and it's average firing speed hinders it. Without good accuracy, you'll find yourself very vulnerable. The Hawk is a good alternative for those who need more training with the Ratog. It has a max of 12 bullets, decent damage and fire speed. Add a silencer to any pistol and it may add 1 to 3 shots to kill someone. However, there are much better weapons silenced. Leave the handgun without a silencer, unless you really want to. Be careful of heavies. Their shotguns are the perfect counters for pistol users, as most run and gun. They can catch you in surprise, and easily outgun you. Their extra health perk doesn't help you, either. Be cautious when facing heavies. Never ADS. It's terrible, and by the sights line up you are almost certainly dead.
The original has 3 passages while the modified version I made just has two. Original: Modified: Its still considered a large map (which is good to have, for variety sake), but not that large. It'll definitely speed up the gameplay because there there is one core area (the indoor mid-point with the stairs on both sides) and a secondary area thats wide open. So it'll be easy to exchange from area to area because the second one is pretty open & you have access to it from 3 viewpoints. What do you guys think?
Yeah I think that's why I'd like more grenades for Recon: the Assault class has very powerful weapons an perks (4 nades!!). I think he original map is fine. I like the intricacy an size. Makes a variety of classes work on it.
I agree! So many people complain about canals, but I actually enjoy a little strategy rather than a quick-style deathmatch. MC4 had much better maps in my opinion.... I wish they would just hurry up and release an update I'm getting so tired of the current 4 maps
Still left it as a large map, so plenty of class variety there theres CQC, mid ranged, and long ranged. I was careful about leaving it as a larger map & having the same amount of variety. I just made it so that things can speed up a little more but not completely get rid of the slower pacing element because I do like the pacing the map has atm with a full lobby. There are too many dead moments in full matches though. There are just too many POI Yeah I would love to see the map they have in the screen shot section of the app description
Is anyone having problems with explosive suicides by the way? It seems that recently I've started killing myself with grenades even though I'm nowhere near the impact. Last night I died from suicide a couple of seconds after a grenade explosion.
Yeah sometimes I'd throw a grenade and it'll randomly just explode on my face lol or sometimes I'd get caught im the explosion even though I'm nowhere near it. Also speaking of suicide theres a bug in FFA where if you suicide & lose a kill point, the score limit will be reached if you hit 29 instead of 30. So if you have 10 kills, suicide 5 times, the score limit would be 25 instead of 30
More things that need fixing. :'( I wish GL had a blog to let us know what is being worked on. Encountering so many bugs and being left in the dark is frustrating...
Complete the story. Get all stars in story quick missions. Sign up for MP event challenges. Capture flags. Kill enemies in MP. Headshots.
I think the best (well best for me) is probably the LUKS for its firing speed, even with a suppressor it can kill very fast, and on touch screens it can be hard to stay 100% accurate, and you need that kind of accuracy while using the Ratog. So that means you can spray and pray with the LUKS which is a good thing.
Everyone was going on about the red being overpowered but no one seems to mind a pistol that can kill in 2 shots lol
Because it's not just overpowered. The Red inflicts high damage, is precise even at hip shooting, has a huge clip, and belongs to a class that has a lot of perks (Assault) rewarding newcomers without skills rather than people who take the time to develop them. Pistols aren't nearly as precise or carrying as many bullets. However, I don't think the Red will be a problem for long (except for future newcomers) because people WILL develop skills and run circles around Red wielding noobs. It's already happening. I've encountered some very skilled Recon 's and Heavy's in the last few days.
All of the classes have pros and cons, i think it balances out nicely. People could argue that recon has an advantage with not having a run animation, which allows them to fire a lot quicker. I encourage people to improve their skills with other classes, the classes i play against really doesn't affect my game play, i come first in 90 to 95% of my matches. So i look forward to better players to kill I agree the pistol is not as precise, i have used it probably 5 times in mp.
