Anyone experiencing getting shot through walls? I'm not talking explosives but bullet damage through walls. In "Canals" for example, if I'm behind a wall where indicated, I'll sometimes die while I'm under cover. It happens in other locations in this map and others.
I just picked up my phone to find that all my progress was deleted. All of my weapons, attachments, percs, etc. Any suggestions?
Wow, that sucks. Delete, clear data, reboot, re-install? These settings should be kept on GL servers. Last resort: contact GL support (which in my experience is terrible). On a side note, I've noticed sometimes the last attachment I used isn't remembered upon re-opening the app.

Just deleted and re-installed with no luck. I've been loving this game since release and had most of the weapons. I don't think I have it in me to do all that grinding again. This sucks.
Honestly there's quite a lot they need to fix (HANDLING!!!!!) but the game's only been out for a couple of weeks so although it's frustrating we'll have to wait a while before any significant fix is implemented. The grenade damage would make sense on thinner walls if they were shattered by the blast otherwise it doesn't make any sense. It makes even less sense when you can kill someone on top of the roof from the lower levels when that structure looks like it would be made of reinforced concrete. Anyways, knowing these bugs I try to kill enemies through walls now. Last hope is contacting Gameloft through the in-game message center and hoping you'll get a reply and if you do that it's related to your problem (true story...). What device are you using?
Update on squad TA Delta: So far a few players joined from other Touch Arcade guilds (TA Alpha, Beta, Charlie) and also a few replied to my post below. 5 out of 20 spots are full right now. The squad is all about active players of Modern Combat 5 that are looking for a squad that does many daily Squad battles at all times of day and night. That doesn't mean you have to be the best player ever, just active and willing to play nearly every day. Just friend Chaosprodigy in game center and wait for invite to Squad. You can send me a PM (private message) if you have questions on how to go about befriending me on Game Center.
If they made impacts do 40ish% less damage and fixed the explosions through walls glitch, I'd be one happy person
I can't stress haw bad the sniper class is, well it's not really the class, it's the snipers themselves, I can go on a 10 kill streak with the pistols but I can barley get upto 5 kills with the snipers, they all seem to just be nerf guns, all the snipers should be a one shot kill from the upper body and higher, instead of me having to spam 10 bullets and only hit 3 times and the enemy is still not dead. Another annoying thing that I found is that the first and fourth grenade launchers do no damage at all, their basically potato guns that only do damage if you hit someone straight on. Oh and one more thing, I join a match wanting to get a higher MP rating and I go 10-0 and get around 1000+ points, which I thought would be sufficient amount of points for my MP rating to jump up a bit but it went down by another 10 points, I think that players should be rewarded when going on high kill streaks without dieing, another thing I hate (which can't be changed) is when I join a match and my team absolutely sucks, and is going 6-20 with the enemy, what about a function where players can be placed in a match where the other players have a close MP rating (within 100 points), this could be a competitive mode or something. Like the ranks in CS:GO and the competitive like in that game. Just my thoughts anyway so hate all you want.
havent played sniper or heavy yet so cant say about them, but the comments I have seen about the sniper rifles make me think they need some work done to them! As for the MP rating I would still like to know how this fullly works. It can't just be an average of all your matches, winning and losing must be a factor. For example last night I lost a match but had around 2800 points at the end - this lead to my overall score going down, but I have won a match before with points lower than my overall score and it has gone up! I also went up from ~1300 to ~1500 one evening by winning some matches with 2000+ points. but I have repeated that again since, and have only hit around 1570 as a max. It may not seem like it, but I don't really care about the overall rankings, I am more interested in trying to find out what the reasoning behind the points are. As someone said a few pages back it would be good to get some more advanced stats, as I would like to know what mine have been like since switching back to the RED
Basically they made the top tier guns "the guns" in the game. Any tier before is basically useless. Its an odd system, but whatever. The final sniper is actually 1 hit kill (its semi-auto... which IMO it should be 2 hit kill & the bolt-action should be 1 hit kill). Its pretty easy to use & kill people (especially when quick-scoping), but at times its accuracy is not on your side. I do tend to get a 4ish KD when using it, I would never snipe in streets or rooftops though. Sidearms are pretty op as of now; considering they have extremely good accuracy, they have a pretty good rate of fire, and head shots are instant kills for them. So they're pretty good in close-mid range. So I'd recommend using the tier 1-4 snipers in long range. Once you've unlock the last tier, feel free to use it in any situation. Yeah the grenades in the grenade launchers are pretty weak, this is because they're the lower tiered ones though. The final one is semi auto so you'll be able to fire it multiple times without reloading, which makes up for the minor blast radius the grenades have. The RPG's have a decent blast radius though, I'd recommend using them until you've unlocked the final tier. They are aware of the rating system being a little off at times. Its suppose to be an average of however much exp you earn per match (which is odd for a rating system). IMO the rating system should be point based. You get x amount of points or lose x amount of points per match. That way it doesn't get harder and harder to raise/lower you're rating the more you play.
Hey, there are currently 4 TA Squads - found here TA Alpha, Bravo and Charlie are fairly relaxed squads, anyone can join and the are no commitments, Alpha is full, but there is space on Charlie and Bravo. I can invite you to join Charlie if you want, just search for Charlie in the squads add me in game and then I will invite you, send me an in game message as well so I remember TA Delta is a new squad, and this is the competitive squad. There are a few requirements to join, best described by Chaos himself (squad leader) (*I added this part)
Anyone want to help me make a guide? It seems like a lot of work, but it can be a lot of fun! I'll get started on a pistols guide. Where should I host it?
I wouldn't even know where to start by making a guide to the guns! How are you going to measure the damage etc, and how each attachment affects the ranking?
So frustrating and I'm not too optimistic. Hopefully GL Ryan will check back in here with a solution because if it's not an isolated event, that'd be a big issue for GL. As it stands, I'm really bummed about losing all that progress. Starting from scratch with that damn Compakt is pretty miserable and really drives home just how bad the lower tier weapons are. It's amazing how often headshots just don't result in headshots.
I try to get three stars in every level, and there's a multiplayer mission in which you have to get 12 kills in a VIP match. In Free For All, I can get 20-25 kills. But VIP ends SOOO quickly. Any tips to achieve 12 kills? Thanks.
