Just finished my long grind for all the weapons and attachments. Wow, was that torture. Anyway, for those wondering best way to grind I prefer the 4th level I think Venice in the spec ops missions. Just hit the assault mission. Break time is definitely needed #
You mean for that particular mission? Yeah. I would say that much for some of the early grenade launchers. But for everything else 100~200 points.
just in general. In MP you get 50 points towards the next gun/attachment per kill. I was wondering if it was the same in SP, when you are grinding the same level again and again. Personally I prefer playing MP, as I don't really care about my stats going up or down
In general I would say maybe a little more points in SP if you get an average of about 50 in MP. Like I said, about 100~200 for some weapons is what I got so about 150 avg. And yes, i grinded in SP so I didn't have to worry about kd loss and lag #
Oh god, you've grinded all of your weapons in SP? Holy. I could never do that. Too boring and too slow imo. I never got that much points in SP as I got in MP. Besides that, I think its better to take a class straight into MP cuz real players acting so much different than the AI and at last but not least, it's the main focus of Mc5. But each to their own.
Cheers! TA! Edit: that doesn't work because when he goes down he leans over to the side so you can't shoot him. If you go round to shoot him he gets back up and shoots you.
This is accurate. My two cents: Chapter 2 in the first spec ops mission is the fastest way to grind from my trials. You get 24 dudes to murder and they are not only easy and predictable but the challenges are also super simple (3 headshots and a multikill) for the added XP on top of the completion bonus and kills bonus. You can beat the mission in less the 2 minutes and can get about 220 to 240 XP for any given weapon as most enemies spawn in with perfect placement for headshots to naturally line up.
Shoot him from the front, when he leans to the side, stay where you are and wait till he stands up, then you'll see the yellow on his chest. He's the same as the blokes in the breach missions.
That's funny to hear. Honestly, I don't use the feature as I've found I constantly hop over railings I don't want to hop over. This might be me needing to work on my directions more than a flaw in the ability though >.<
Game Impressions I'm very impressed with this game so far. I've played MC: Sandstorm and MC 2: Black Pegasus so this is a huge jump up in quality. It runs flawlessly on 5s with brilliant graphics. Online multiplayer is fun, except for the fact that the maps are a bit on the large size which can be pretty off-putting when there aren't many people online. I've only played the first campaign mission so far so I'm looking forward to finishing it up.
Yeah you just slow down when you get near any edges, which you get used to! If it was a button I would just permenantly have it pressed anyway
Speaking of hoping over railings & stuff, anyone else annoyed how the camera gets into a fixed position when you hop ever something? And is anyone elses game crashings every now and then? I'm on 5s
I also use Chapter 2 to grind, but mostly the 2nd level in Awakening (Raiders), because it's short, easy and I find there's a good number of enemies. I usually rack up about 350 points on that level, especially if I focus on headshots.
They really shouldnt have switched to a tier system for weapons.. MC4 had an almost sidegrade kind of system which worked much much better. It also had more responsive controls, and better attachment systems as well. This game its just about unlocking the next best weapon and the next best attachment, rather than using different attachments to customize the gun to how you want it, whether its high accuracy/low recoil and low damage, or high recoil but high damage. But other than those things, its a well made game. MC4 seems to have better graphics too though..
Does anyone have any tips on grinding for skill points? Getting like one point per level doesn't work out so well.
Campaign mission rewards Events Leveling up It'll take a long time to achieve every skill, so use your point wisely. I like the idea of it taking a while it achieve everything, it'll make the game have a lengthy life span compared to previous MC's
