I would just like to point out that I never even mentioned graphics in my post 5 pages ago, since it would obviously be unfair to compare the graphics of the game on a Galaxy S2 with the Vita, so I can't really judge that. (Plus the game honestly looks pretty good for what the GS2 can handle, especially in the singleplayer.) Still, I do hate it when people are talking about how the graphics of [insert new mobile game here] are almost 360/PS3 level, but as soon as you make a comparison in this case with a handheld that's actually less powerful than those consoles it's suddenly unfair. And really there's not much else the game can be compared with other than previous Modern Combat and NOVA games, which wouldn't be as good of a counterexample for most things I disliked about MC5. (They still have way better singleplayer campaigns though)
Just a tip for a few forum members: don't compare a game/device to another. It never ends well. Just mention the issue without mentioning the comparison.
this comment is not as good as another unrelated comment. I expected more from this comment, it has been delayed 8 seconds, and what for? Nothing... Whilst the other comment has wit, feeling, insight and paints a picture, yours is mearly words on my screen. What's more this 'tip' is completely OP, and definitley needs Nerfing. I can't believe how unbalanced this tip is. Also launching this comment with only two sentences is just a joke, I expected at least 4. On the plus side your comment doesn't contain any TLA's* so I give you points back for that. Overall I rate your comment 2 stars, it would possibly be three if the aforementioned 'tip' gets nerfed. *TLA = Three Letter Abbreviation.
Yeah it's now a slightly different colour. Technically now it's the Crimson-34. People were getting annoyed as it was out of balance with the red used on the outfits. Therefore they 'Balanced' it. Ps sorry about the strange posts, it's one of those days Pps not sure, haven't used it yet and it still seems to kill me apparently it might have had a range reduction.
Switched back to Assault RED for a couple matches and there is nothing which has changed. 3-4 bullets to kill Recon/Sniper, 4-5 Bullets to kill a heavy. Same as before. Ranged accuracy/damage is the same. You can still take out enemies from miles away just by shooting from the hips. My rating jumped up in no time. The RED still owns...no, pwns. I think the nerf is an placebo.
Okay, make it two bullets, hah. GL never said it got nerfed but balanced. Maybe they've made it even stronger?
Lol who knows. I've stopped using it, it really makes the game a lot less challenging/fun. When I use it I don't have to think or anything, just hold the sprint button, run any direction, and shoot someone when they're in my way.
Guess if I want to make mine go up I will switch back as well. At the moment though I am havig more fun with recon than I did with assault. Wish I had gone with that class from the start...
Gameloft should have waited before nerfing weapons. The reason everyone says the red owns is because they are comparing it to a tier 1 or 2 class gun. Now that people are trying other classes and getting to tier 5 they are seeing that the weapon is actually good and now want that nerfed. I think if all guns were avaiable and everyone had a tier 5 for their class then things would be pretty balanced. Now that they nerfed the red (if they even did) then I'm assuming the rest will need a nerf. Let's see.
I don't think the Red needed to be nerfed but oh well - Just hope they didn't over nerf it or something like that
I really think they should make the squad chat system like clash of clans clan chat system - The squad chat saves not resets every time you close the game - Swear words aren't censored in squad chat . Alot of normal words and combination of words are censored for no reason - That is really annoying especially on squad chat. Anyone agree with me on this ? I know oscar said he wants the chat system to be like clash of clans chat system
This. Why it Bat censored!!! Makes no sense as Battle is written quite a lot I would guess... The SP voice actors drop the f bomb a few times but I can't write the word Battle without it being starred out!
I know- its so annoying , when I ask the squad if they want to have a squad teambattle it censors it . I think Gameloft should fix the whole censoring system, remove censoring in Squad chat and save the Squad chat so we can continue our chat when we get off then back on.
I'd agree the squad chat should have more memory, it would make it far more useful to be able to check in later and see what people had been saying rather than having to be there at the time. It would make coordinating matches a substantially easier thing to do. On the censorship, some combinations of words mean lots of different things in different languages so, as an example, something that is innocent enough in English like a two letter combination becomes a racial slur in French. Not sure what they can do in that case but there seems to be a lot more slurs out there than I originally thought possible. Definitely going to have to be a lot more careful next time I'm on a foreign holiday. I don't know if removing censorship altogether is the right route. Mainly because in the general chat of another shooter type game I play, people say the most awful derogatory expletive filled things. I suppose if squads had a rule system on it, it'd be okay, dunno. A bit of loosening of the combinations would be handy though because interpreting incomplete words with a lot of X's in it is a bit of a challenge of its own.
@rip - they should be able to do something when the words that they want to censor are in other words, like the 'battle' scenario
Agreed. And that would be the area of the censorship that actually needs the most tweaking. I do believe the point, you're exact one there as a prime example, has been passed on to the team responsible for that area. That would be my thinking also and why I was opposed to nerfing the red in the first place. Will have to wait and see how it all comes out in the wash at this stage. It may not come to that and hopefully doesn't.
The german word for weapon is waffe. Take the w out, and you have affe, this means monkey. I don't think thats a verbal abuse but it's still censored,. It's ridiculous that I cant write the word weapon in an ego-shooter. Censoring in a chat doenst make sense anyway, because a lot of people just write: wa ff e. And germans cant even write an article. The word die means the in german. Edit: The post isn't against you of course, just an example.
Just so you guys know, if you want extra skill points some of the single player missions award skill points as a reward. It's good to use if you want to max out the recon class.
