I really only play in single player and it's OK for what it is at face value....point and tap shooter. Anyone have good advice for efficiently disposing of the "executioners"? Hit him when the yellow thing lights up on his chest?
The first one - there are 4 gas containers around the room which he walks near - hit these and that then kills him (i don't think you have to hit the glowing chest) The rest - headshot them till their chest glows, then shot at the chest. It will go from yellow -> orange -> red -> boom! It may take two attempts. Edit - for those that are saying that the RED is OP - have you used any other class, or are you just comparing Assault to Assault? I am playing Recon at the moment and with the Jolt (Tier 3) I can take out pretty much anybody. Yeah I am getting killed too, but the speed at which you are putting bullets in them I am getting them 50% of the time, which is about my normal kd ratio even with the RED. I am sure that when I unlock the Tier 4 and Tier 5 smg, it will go up.
Have the tier 3-5 smg's better accuracy? Because with tier one and two, you can't kill a shit. About the red: The kr200 is way better, less TTK (time-to-kill) in short range, same TTK in long. Question: Can you obtain only one bomber in a game? Because I didnt get my second..
I give GL the benefit of the doubt that this will be one of the first fixes. It's debatable whether a nerf of the RED should be an immediate fix, but I think everyone can agree that better spawn points are a must. I'm sick of spawning directly in the middle of a gun fight or right in front of a creeping opponent.
Yeah the Jolt is way more accurate IMO. You'll need to empty a clip to kill someone, but it's quicker and you'll actually hit them!
The whole clip..? Meh, i was thinking of upgrading the recon because the perks are quite good (especially for FFA) and I thought, smg's can kill somebody really fast. Don't you get a dmg buff, like 50% when shooting in the back? But now, after hearing that it takes a whole clip, I think I'll stick with the kr200 (3 shots) and red.
Yeah you do, I haven't got them yet, I upgraded assault first! The full clip maybe an exaggeration, I am not the best! I would definitley go for it, unlocking the tier 2 gun took a while because the tier one is rubbish. But getting the tier three was really quick!
Yes, the MP7 Jolt and after the FERS are both WAY better than the other two SMGs. Infact, I was in the same boat as you, wondering if the Recon would always suck so bad. Now however it is my favorite class, and the FERS with an extended clip, reddot holographic site, and a barrel extension is definitely a great gun to use. EDIT: whoever said it takes a whole clip is wrong... If you can be accurate, and shoot the head the SMG will drop someone before they have a chance to stop sprinting and aim at you. Keep in mind the fire-rate is extremely fast, so you will put a ton of bullets into somebody's head before they know it. I had actually never gone past a 3 kill Kill streak with assault, and after finally leveling up my recon I realized I was best with that class by far. I would definitely recommend leveling Recon up; and like you said the Perks are awesome. To answer your second question, yes it is possible I had 2 bombers just now
I'm really sorry! For whatever reason, I thought I had posted the overview I received in the thread, but it must have been just me remembering I talked about it on Twitch. I received a high-level overview of how the ratings system works in MP, so hopefully this helps give you some understanding on why you go up or down when you play.... MP rating goes up or down, regardless of whether your team wins or loses, based on your average score in your match history. Your score is the amount of points you get from getting kills, assists, or completing objectives (ex: Killing the VIP, capping the flag, etc.). So knowing that, if you average 1000 points per match, your rating will go up when you score above that threshold, but if you only score 500 points in a match your rating will subsequently go down. One topic that has been brought up to me on Twitter (and maybe here?) is that players notice their ratings fluctuate in a big way when playing VIP. I think this is possible because killing a VIP is a BIG point boost, so if you get a lot of kills on a VIP your points are actually inflated, compared to getting the same amount of kills on Team Battle. It's something I need to ask the Devs about.
So that means that if the game puts me in a match that is over 10 seconds after I join (that has happened to me before!) and I get a score of 0 because of that, it will have a (relatively) big impact on my MP rating?
I have had a couple of those and it hasn't impacted that much. You would think those zeros would kill it... That was me, and yeah I was wrong. I checked on two kills on my first game, running with the extended clip meaning 35 bullets: first kill - 18 left, second kill 11 left. Like you said though this is mainly because they come out so fast that about 5 bullets are fired after you have actually killed them! I am killing a lot more at this stage than I was with the UFIA when I was levelling up assault. Which means I am very close to the tier 4 MSG (can't remember it's name but I am useless with them, I know UFIA, RED, Charbtek and Jolt) I can't wait to get the higher level perks One thing I noticed last night is that if you join a match with a Friend that is in you squad, it almost always puts you on the same team (all last night it was the same team, with 3 of us in the same match, but tonight I found myself facing Electrocat [sorry about that kill] a couple of times). Whereas if they are a friend but on a different squad it's all a bit random. Also a couple of my CTF games have sort of reset me, mid game it goes black screen and I end up back at my flag. Has this happened to anyone else? Another thing, did MC4 have a rebalancing thing, so if you died and the other team was low on numbers you switched? That would be really useful here as I have found myself outnumbered 2 to 6 as team members leave. Either that or they shouldn't respawn if it's that big a difference. Edit - epic post, Rip would be proud
You're so cool, Mess! Oh, and I've a lot of Skillpoints left so I'll give Recon a shot tomorrow. I'll probably mess up my Rating baaaadly D': *cries* @Ryan: great job on fixing the DRM check, guys.
Let my very first rant of a game begin. I paid 7 dollars for a unstable, lackluster and broken game, I paid also 7 bucks before for FAR better games (NOVA 3, Rainbow Six:SV, MC3, Godfire, Deus Ex: The Fall, EPOCH 2, CoD: Strike Team) and even less for other games that put this on shame (Can't really complain a lot more for the price, paid 50 dollars for 007 Legends so yeah, have seen much worse crap). First off, the performance on iPad mini isn't bad at the beging but launching the Canals map makes the game crash every single time (how they didn't noticed it) and the second mission of the third chapter crashes also every time and it gets far worse at the MP making really heavy frame-drops (if you won't optimise the game for my device at least warn me before buying it). Then WOOOOOOOW! A multiplayer focused game with only 4 maps, seriously 4 maps, I've could have asked for at least 8 maps, 4 rly? (I get the 'update' with more maps BS, but how can you ship a game with only 4 maps?) Ok, at least the matchmaking, right, RIGHT? My first MP match was against guys at 40-50 level, how messed up the matchmaking could be to throw a newcomer against veterans? Could rant about the unbalanced weapons, the pointless and stupid DRM or the god-awful single player but would be pointless to say how much this game makes the other Modern Combats look like master-pieces (All were pretty good, specially MC3) but I think you've got my point. I can't believe that it was delayed 8 MONTHS, Watch_Dogs and Wolfenstein: The New Order where delayed for almost the same time and both show how the delays helped the devs to make the game even better, but with MC5 I see 8 MONTHS of absolutely nothing, 8 MONTHS GENTLEMEN'S, 8 MONTHS.
Matches you leave in the middle of and matches you complete from beginning to end only should count towards your rating. Matches you join in the middle of shouldn't count towards your rating.
Dude, obviously the game wasn't going to run smoothly on the original iPad Mini lol. I'm not trying to be rude, but complaining and ranting about a game running like crap is ridiculous when you're trying to play it on hardware that is 3 generations old... I do agree with the 4 maps being lame as hell though. Gameloft telling us they're going to make new maps according to our "suggestions and comments" seems like BS. What the new maps are really for is Gameloft making new DLC to make up for the loss in the IAP revenue. I do believe 4 maps is the least I've ever heard of for a multiplayer game lol.
