The fact that you have to resort to insults to make you're point just nullifies your point. If you cant be civilised, don't bother even attempting a counter argument. Try actually reading the post as well. I want to see what level of nerfing people want to the gun. And just to point out, as equally as you are entitled to an opinion, so also am I. I'm not going around calling people dense though just because they have a different opinion on nerfing. And if you look back further, you will see that I actually want the lower guns increased rather than one weapon nerfed. So even though we agree in principle, you still have to resort to calling someone "dense". And just to clarify, here is one of the key lines from the site rules page. "- Don't insult people - if you can't keep yourself from insulting others, you don't belong here." And here's a link to that page. http://forums.toucharcade.com/announcement.php?f=2 I would advise familiarising yourself with them.
Hell am a good player I have a k/d ratio of 4+ I use the red I have owned other people using the red, now I had some guy running around with the sniper (I presume the last one) one shot hitting me from the hip.... Yes the red needs a little adjustment but it certainly ain't overpowered just get some skill And once the red is nerfed am sure you lot will find something else to moan about and nerf
Exactly. That's why I am urging caution on nerf requests. If Gameloft listens, certain aspects will fall out of balance very quickly. The best result would be to improve some of the lower weapons rather than lowering the higher ones. And I'd have to agree with Birksy because he is definitely one of the top players in the game.
Two things: 1. I never called anyone a name or insulted anyone. 2. The "logic" or arguments that were presented in the past several pages are full of dense thinking especially on a subject that isn't that hard to grasp. A person can be dense but so can a thought or idea. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing. Before you act all high and mighty, please look back at several of your posts where you insulted people in a sideways manner much like you are acusing me of (although I didn't which is the irony). Is that really how we act in a civilized society? The point is, this is not a difficult subject matter and the ludicrous ideology that some are coming up with (yours is the most recent example) to prove one point or another is not only convoluted but also silly. Bottomline is that the balance in this game is all sorts of crazy and one-sided and shows that the developers screwed up somewhere. It isn't that hard to grasp.
Seriously, you two need to work ur $#!+ out....it always spams into a game thread and derails it. PM each other if you have to, just stop wasting forum pages and forcing people to read through all of it just to get solid info. Imps are one thing....starting an argument that extends for pages is another......
Ugh, so many people with infinite-ammo-no-reload-time-grenade/rocketlaunchers. Rip, didn't you say the whole point of always online was to get rid of pirates and hackers quicker? How hasn't this been fixed yet? The game even got updated!
Haven't had any yet! What game mode do they pop up in? That is the idea! And did the iOS app update or just android??
I usually play TDM, but was just playing CTF. It doesn't really matter, they're everywhere. Since I'm playing on android I don't know wether the iOS version got an update (the update was mostly to fix things with newer android phones (by giving them graphics options as well) and controller stuff, so I'm not even sure if it'll get released on iOS).
No update for iOS yet. And it's possible there are more hackers on Android because it's easier to modify anything than on iOS, which would explain why some people encounter hackers more than others. (I don't think the MP matches are cross-platform, are they?)
@Rip I was referring to the hip-fire accuracy that the RED has. It makes it super easy to get head shots in CQC heheh. It just needs a nerf baaadly. Compared to the other full-auto assualts/SMG's, its a god. It really is. Saying that everything else has to be nerfed is just an exaggeration. @Checkerspell congrats man @Mess yeah this got spammed up pretty quickly >.<. We got the squad thread though
On the subject of bringing a knife to a gunfight, it reminded me of a guy I played against this week. I forget his name or any of his stats, although I think he was Japanese. Anyway, pretty sure he was playing as a Recon because he flew around the maps like a ninja and I think every one of his kills with with the knife. He caught me by surprise 2-3 times and I never even saw him coming. He was also catching much better players off guard as well. Very impressive. Makes me want to try it but I don't think I could pull it off.
They aren't cross platform but I have seen the same hack on iOS in CTF and free-for-all. I haven't seen it anywhere else but in CTF and free-for-all the infinite grenade launcher spam has been present off and on at least for me since last Friday. I haven't encountered it in TDM but it is possible and likely that it is there. I haven't seen it in any of the other modes but I have seen some questionable lag or latency. That is to be expected on launch week but it is present nonetheless. Of note it isn't every game or anything but it has popped up more than a couple of times to make it noticeable.
It wasn't just the last launcher. I've seen the first one and the RPG one exhibit this. The couple of folks I ran into kept launching them infinitely with almost zero delay between them (like the infinite noob tube glitch from CoD4 if anyone remembers that). It was for the entire game over the several matches that I saw it. Different players but they all had the Chinese characters in their names so take that as you will. You can tell it is something nefarious and definitely a hack. A quick example, n free-for-all the dude sat in a corner and just constantly launched them. I lost count but not only was the guy launching them continuously basically killing anyone in his line of sight but he never reloaded and the frame rate went to complete garbage. He was able to die though so it seemed like the only "hack" in effect was infinite ammo. I got him twice with a nail grenade before I exploded from his technology. I've seen it a few times but it isn't every match. Now if I see it I just leave the game. I play for fun not for my score/rank like some do. That isn't fun.
This just happened and I had to jump here and write it up. Was playing CTF on Canals. Now, this is a huge map as you know and people tend to take the shortest route to the flag. After a few attempts to gun our way through the middle, I decided to take a long route. And let me tell you, running around the entire map is a reaaaly long route. So I finally come close to their flag - red flag (so you know where it's located - On the bridge on the outside of the map). I slowly come out of the theater, check the site and see two guys camping the flag. Quickly dispose of them, grab the flag and start running back, alll the way around. Taking the long route back. Shit was intense. Then, mid running, I notice someone is shooting at me from behind. I quickly slide behind some boxes, stand up (boxes as cover), aim down the sight and lo and behold, he just wraps around the corner and gets in my crosshair. I down the guy, do the 180 and start running again. There was another situation where someone was shooting me from behind but some of my teammates were already providing covering fire. I start my final dash towards our flag and OH SH- time's up. Is. This. For. Real. I was 20 meters away from our flag. Overtime. Sudden death. Okay. Okay. Keep it calm. Let's flank again. All the way around. Somewhere mid this long route, a teammate joins me on my flank quest. He's solid 20 meters in front of me. He grabs the enemy flag and continues running towards the center of the map and I'm like "nope. Not a good idea." We get to the opening, main square where the blue flag is located. He goes out and starts shooting. Just when I caught up with him, they take him down. But I was just in time to catch the 2 guys who got him. They were on the other side of the main square, near our flag spot, reloading their guns lol. I aim down my holo and take down both of them. Grab the enemy flag and start my hunt for the blue flag. I wasn't sure how many of them were still alive but I had a hunch it was just me and the other team's flag carrier. I decide to rush him coz he was close to our base. I turn around 3 or 4 corners and there he is, 10 meters away, facing me. We both start franticly shooting (holdin dat fire and swiping left and right like crazy) and BAM! Golden eagle badge medal thingy - we won. Shit was so intense!! I'm still pumped. I had to write it up.
This made me think about the fact that there's no respawning in sudden death mode in MC5. I liked the fact that in MC4 Sudden Death mode meant the victor was decided by who captured the flag in a Capture The Flag match. This also meant that the tension increased significantly when the clock ran out and any attempt to capture the enemy flag or score a point was met with heavy resistant and relentless murder. Now all the enemy team has to do is to call an airstrike or bomber right when players respawn after the clock has ran out and that's it.
@Mass - Thanks man It was something different from the usual running and gunning and it felt worthy of sharing. Also, I just noticed that was my first post. Gotta update that old iphone info as well lol. Been lurking for a long time. Ah yes, this last man standing thing is kinda odd. First to capture would make more sense indeed.
