Oh boy just tried multiplayer again and got truly smashed! My radar didn't seem to show any red enemy, the only time I saw anyone was after I got killed instantaneously, and they walked all over me to rub it in. Yikes (don't know how much use I'm gonna be to Alpha squad)
Hahah yeah headshot are one shot kill... And the RED is like a 3 shot kill on the body. Really unbalanced and unfriendly to new players. It doesnt matter if youre good or not as long as we're having fun & we're placing on the leaderboards, its all good. The more you practice, the better you'll get. Thats just a fact. I was terrible at Eliminate Pro back in the day, like really really bad. Probably averaging 1-3 kills per game. But I didnt give up and now I handle the touch screen controls just as well as any other physical controller.
I know this may be a very stupid question, but are there kill streaks? I read if a game for ios that had them, but idk what game.
Sure, but there is no competition going on between first-, buisness- and economy class so I wouldn't take this as a comparison.
It's good to hear, and promising that I might actually get better! I did get better at Mc4 after a while
Yeah, I don't have any apps like that installed so I have no idea why the game keeps wanting me to redownload the maps. AGGGGHHHHH I'm so pissed! For some reason the game lost a lot of stars from multiplayer. I slaughtered my KDR trying to get those 6 melee kills in a match only to have them all taken away. For some reason, the "match complete" star is still there but the others are gone. Also, unlocking those achievements should be saved if a connection fails. I went into a CTF match, got my 6 melee kills, and the game went into "Kill Mode," in which a lot of my team died and left, and the game kicked me because there weren't enough players and I lost the achievement. I don't think the game should count losses for any match less than 3 mins or so. Especially in free-for-all; I mean I'm all for filling up empty spaces in a match, but if you aren't there for half of a match in FFA than you're screwed in trying to win. The multiplayer's fantastic fun, however. Except for the spawn campers in the north-eastern end of the construction site map.
What is the performance like on iPad Air? I have seen mixed reviews. What is this bug I have read about where the maps download continuously?
Strongly dislike the breach spec ops missions. I wish they would restart from where you fail not back at the start.
Agreed. If/when they offer controller compatibility, I'll probably move on from MP. I'm already at a disadvantage when I play (less skill, inferior weapons),but those are inherent in the game. If I'm playing against people using controllers, that just seems unfair.
Same logic applies to IAPs for an advantage over others. From GL's perspective, I think IAPs are a better financial choice than controllers, which they don't even make any money from (unlike first class).
See I would swap controller and touch controls around Controller I can still aim down sight without having to leave one of my fingers away from movement or aiming
I agree so much. Part of the reason for me is lower framerate on my iphone 5 (which may be causing the input lag im also experiencing), and another reason is that they automatically decrease your sensitivity while firing. It makes hipfiring and strafing almost useless because when you strafe you have to keep aiming at the enemy. I find this game so hard to play, coming from somebody who had 3+ k/d in mc4 and could go scores like 30-5 consistently once i was high ranked. This games attachment system, and gun system is bad as well. Basically, you play and unlock weapons and attachments in tiers. Once you unlock it, there is NO reason to go back because the higher tier guns/attachments are better in every way. For example in this game, the top grip just adds (random number) +15 accuracy. The grip before added maybe +12. In MC4 some grips would add +10 accuracy +5 stability (or w/e it was), another would add +10 stability, +5 accuracy. Thats how to do customization. I honestly think MC4 had it perfect. You could make your gun the way you wanted, and even the starter gun did great. There were also so many more customization options. Stocks, grips, scopes, barrels, ammo type (like screecher rounds) and other options. Every gun could be made into at least a decent gun, and made how you want. The gunplay in MC4 was much better as well, the game responded well and smoothly. In this game, everything feels clumsy, and especially bad because sensitivty is decreased while shooting. The class system is cool, but its not cool being forced to play a certain class for the weapon, and following a linear (literally) skill tree. MC4 was so much better in this, allowing you to play with any class's skills, and letting you equip whatever you wanted. If you wanted to play the one that showed enemies outlines through walls with a sniper and a rocket launcher secondary, you could. If you wanted to play the same class, but with a shotgun and pistol loadout, you also could. I just wish they had kept the MC4 engine and gunplay, and added the new features in like the single player campaign and multiplayer crossover, spec ops, multiplayer maps, game modes, etc. Nothing that changed the fundamental gameplay of the game. Ive played every game since modern combat 1 and have found gunplay in EVERY SINGLE ONE good, this is the first one where it feels straight up bad. Game also needs some optimization. To be honest, i like the game but its too clumsy to play, and i feel like im only playing because i paid for it, and im just hoping they might improve it. But i honestly just feel like in a lot of areas this game has gone backwards compared to MC4 and maybe even 3. This game does do somethings well granted, but the most important parts i feel like should be improved
Spent all night in multiplayer last night, getting a bit better at it now and still sticking with the sniper. Sadly for me all the upgrades don't actually seem better than the previous, my new sniper isn't as good as the old one so I still use that. Very happy with the thermal scope for the fog level though. So far my main problem has been spawn camping, a couple of games I played the teams just all camped around the base killing you before you could even turn to see where they were. On AvP it had protection for this as you would be protected until you move.
How do I use a ps3 or xbox controller with this game? I've never done such a thing so I have no clue. Thanks
First there were complaints that it was "too similar" to MC4 and GL was/is milking the franchise and has no new ideas. Now it's too different? Can't have it both ways.
