I've just started playing. What should I be aiming for for the guns? And secondaries? I'm really liking the assault class.
Not possible on iPhones, even if jailbroken. It's only possible on iPad 3 and up, which is what I'm doing on my MiniR.
It's locked during development to 30fps, so no. Not a dumb question at all. Its much easier this time around with the ui. There is some difficulty in seeing the small changes some attachments make to weapons but its still easier than the last time and they are colour coded which is pretty easy to see. The ui itself, while still small, is still quite easy to read and the text very clear. Sometimes you will have to be careful when tapping certain options but I find it generally better to select the correct options without overlaying on other choices.
Awesome, thanks for the response. I hope Gameloft doesn't pull any funny business down the road and go back on the no iap.
Got in a MP match and someone had the rocket launcher with no reload time and unlimited ammo, I mean c'mon really!!! What is life?
Ah yes. I've also encountered someone in a match who rapid fired with his RPG. One of the most annoying matches I had so far. He was dumb though cuz he mostly killed himself while doing it, ha. Infinite Ammo + no reload hack affects every weapon though. Anyways, ppl who were using this hack also reporting they got banned :3
I'm holding off on this due to the comments by others saying iPad Air performance is poor. I own an iPhone 5s and iPad Air but prefer to game on my iPad. I've watched TA's side by side video of the iPad Air and iPhone 5s and the frame rate on iPad Air looks really poor.
Gotta say it needs an offline skirmish mode. I understand the connected aspect for stats, cheating blah blah but if I'm in my car or at my cottage the game doesn't get played and that sucks. Just don't have it count for stats
Yeah its a shame. Performance should be much better on an iPad Air. Its ironic every year Apple sits and brags about how powerful these chips are then developers don't optimize properly for them. The A7 is severely under utilized. So really coming out with faster chips is pointless for most apps. OPTIMIZE!
They're very powerful chips. It's just that they're not meant to run extremely detailed games at a resolution of 2048x1536! That's well beyond the resolution of 1920x1080 (though it's 4:3 and not 16:9), which means it's already putting a lot of pressure on the chip to chug out those frames. Don't expect miracles from your device. It's powerful, but not that powerful. Know what's inside it before bitching about it. On the flipside, the much lower resolution on the iPhone and iPod Touch is much easier for a powerful chip to work with. Thus, you get a much smoother experience out of nearly identical hardware.
Is there an option to lower the resolution on iPad to improve the frame rate or is this just a request from others toward Gameloft?
Ye, but...just look how awesome Dead Trigger 2 looks and how fast the framerate is (should be at 60fps most of the time), even on A7 devices.
As long as your device isn't jailbroken, no. No official Support for low resolution on retina displays. I hope they implement a switch just like they did with Nova3 and MC4.
Hmm, I'll wait. I know I could play it on my 5s but I can't play games on iPhone now. Hopefully Gameloft optimise the game for the A7 in a future update.
