In that area, you'll see 4 exploding barrels/whatever they are. Shoot the juggernaut and as it approaches the barrels, shoot the barrels. It'll be stunned. Keep shooting. Do that with 3/4 barrels and you'll kill him.
I usually just kill juggernauts by shooting one clip into his electromagnet reactor iron man thingy on his chest heheh.
Take a shotgun and aim down your sights towards the upper-torso. Throw a bunch of nail grenades at him prior to that.
Funnily enough I think we need the headshots. Body shots take quite a bit of doing but a bit of a careful aiming and burst fire and boom, headshot. Plus handguns are actually useful now at close range. I didn't like the way in the last that hands guns were essentially like throwing carrots at them and hoping you'd take an eye out but this time, aim carefully and you'll actually taken em down if they are within range. I know many people don't seem to like it about the headshots but I think its one of the most significant changes that I would be very disappointed if they changed it. Yes, I do get killed a lot from them, but, hey its a shooter, there should be that element of challenge in it. If they changed it, you would have to be using a lot more clips and it would be substantially more difficult to kill an enemy. And it does have to be different to be different from the others in the series. On the sprint, if you want to move faster, use the recon. I know that's a very simplistic comment but using the different classes does demonstrate the weight effect of each weapon which I again think is very important. I'll grant you the first recon weapon is weak as dishwater but there's a weapon in that class, name I can't think of but it looks like a HK, and its a beast. The different sprint speeds for each class are very effective for the type of class it is and it adds to the differentiation of each class. Which again would be important, other wise they would all just feel the same. Anyway when I'm using assault and I need to get there quicker, I just switch to handgun and run away. Plus with headshots, I actually have a chance of surviving while using it. In the last two, I almost never used the handguns because they were just useless. In this one, the handgun is helping me tweak my aiming for headshots. Plus thankfully, now I'm used to the reticle/crosshairs and have finally got better at aiming in it and by heck its fun. Not easy, but definitely fun. But, man, does it love battery.
Hah its not the speed of the sprint, its the feel of it. Its hard to explain. Its not like in MC4/3 where you can decide which direction you'd like to sprint. Instead it forces you to move forward. Just feels a bit awkward in some senerios, I cant really see a reason why they would've changed it. But I am trying to get use to it, almost running a 3Kd >.<
Not to be offensive but I much rather prefer Modern Combat 4 over MC5. The graphics are a minor upgrade in MC5, otherwise everything else is a downgrade. The story line of MC4 was solid and the multiplayer was a bonus introducing additional hours of fun. I recommended many friends to download MC4 once I had initially played it, but unfortunately I cannot do the same for MC5. I didn't believe everyone else when they said they preferred MC4 over MC5 until I actually played it myself. Regardless I'll probably jump on MC5 now and head to multiplayer, definitely won't be touching the story mode again however. Just my opinion.
Yeah the story is terrible but nontheless its somewhat entertaining and fun. the devs did mention that the core of MC5 was the multiplayer, and that the campaign is just a bonus. The multiplayer is just amazing.
That's fair enough and I agree in the story but I'll be honest, I didn't even play the campaign in MC4 until I'd reach the max prestige in it so obviously the story wasn't that important to me. A bit more depth would be nice though. On the multiplayer, it will take a bit of getting used to, but I strongly recommend giving it a chance. I'd consider myself relatively good at these games but I'll admit to having difficulty initially getting to grips with it. Once I had the controls right and a good estimate of the bullet spread and reticle movement, I'm finding that I have to consider it one of the best so far, if not the best because now I can use handguns and headshots don't need 3 bullets to kill. Actually I know exactly what you mean. It was the same in Nova 3 if I remember right and it's the exact same way in Blitz Brigade. Which side have you the sprint button on? With the type of sprinting in this, the left side is the best option because, depending on your personal control set up, you sprint with the button on the left and use the right side of screen to alter view which, while not changeling direction as such, does give better environment awareness and quicker response to attack. Its hard to explain right but sprint on left is the way to go. It was that way in MC2 as well so is suppose I'm just recalling my old way of doing it.
The game really does slaughter my battery and make my phone extremely hot especially over my network connection. Even on wifi it does just not as quickly.
Yeah lol it obliterates my battery in no time. Oooo and forgot to mention this, I would love to see the squad chat history. Its not helpful not being able to see what your squad members have said to you if you're offline or in a game. And being able to access the squad chat in-game in the pause menu would be neat too
What do you do to knife someone 6 times in a multiplayer match? Is there a way to customize the HUD on ios to make the knife button bigger because I always miss it and cannot get that achievement?
Game Impressions I agree with this. I love MC5, but for me, MC2 was still the best. My order of funness would probably be MC2,MC3,MC1,MC5,MC4. The mission structure does feel kind of disjoint and the class system is a little clunky; I'd rather have the option to adjust the current class after selecting a mission than having to create classes in another menu and selecting them when it comes time to start a mission. I do like the shorter missions, but requiring spec ops missions to be completed to unlock the next mission takes away from the story IMO. It's a trade off, however, because the way things are done now makes reaplayability really darn high. I think this game would be reviewed better if GL considered it a "spinoff" of the MC series, rather than another entry (obviously, it would be stupid to do that sales-wise, but it would make sense why so much changed). Its a great game, but has an entirely different feel to it. I'm glad they took some risks in the general mechanics, however. The star system for missions is genius. Good thing the gameplay is so damn solid and there are no IAPs. In regard to MC6, on one hand, I kind of want Gameloft to return to the basic mechanics of MC3; The class system here (and in MC4) is a bit confusing and it's easier to simply choose a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, basic attachments for each, and perks, similar COD. On the other hand, the system they use is different and quite unique than anything I've played, and if I wanted that system, I could simply play MC3. Also, the class system does both simplify some things but complexify others. I'm really happy with MC5; rather than try to encompass an entire console game into a mobile device, they encompassed a console experience with mobile considerations (online only aside). It doesn't attempt to please all fans of the series, rather it tries to do something fresh. While I would have preferred spec ops and campaign to be entirely different modes, the game feels different and new. Maybe one of the updates will include a new character class via IAP, Support or Gunner or something, with access to LMGs. LMGs have been absent since MC3 and I miss them
Do you have any tips for leveling up the recon class? I played through the campaign with the assualt, so I have that fully unlocked but it means I can't effectively level up recon in campaign. I don't know if it's me or the gun, but with the first SMG I struggle to maintain a 1 KD, the gun is so bad. I had a 2.5 KD, now it's like a 1.9.
Smgs are underpowered. I remcommend running the campaign with the assualt, then hopping over to the multiplayer with assualt. Once you get a good handle of the game, you should start using smgs
