Maybe, but it's not free to pay with a price tag, all I was meaning. I have actually had some good fun playing it
Anyone else finding the way League Points are awarded/deducted to be a bit...random? I can't figure out what it relates to - I can be on the winning side in a regular CTF, top scorer in the team, and only get 3 LP, then next game, ends up being two people against me, I still play through (because I don't just want to quit out) but lose, and get deducted 27 LP?? Would I have been better off just quitting out of the match? I now need to win another 9 matches to get back to the score I had before losing one match?? I really do enjoy this game, but it can be so frustrating at times - I haven't seen any speed hackers since the update, which is great, but I've had more crashed games and stupid grenade suicides than I had before, which is less great. Like I say, overall I love it, never really been into online multiplayer before but I'm totally hooked on this, working hard to get my K/D up to 1! (I was completely hopeless at first, now I'm almost mediocre!)
I'm in a pretty similar boat. Really enjoy the game overall but wish they'd fix a lot of the bugs that, to be honest, seem like they should be really easy and important to fix (the freezes and grenade suicides, for starters). I also have no idea what league points are based on. I'm pretty sure that when you lose, you generally lose a big chunk of points (generally teens to twenties), but when you win, it can usually range from 1-6 points (although I've gotten awards in the teens). I definitely wish the leagues and points were better defined. I also wish I had a clue how to get battle packs. Do you get them in multiplayer or campaign? I play MP almost everyday and have never received a single battle pack. I saw a video online where a guy mentions that he's gotten a lot of them, so it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong. It's been close to a month so I figure I should have received at least one by now given how much MP I've played.
Good job on game loft for being able to report players easier now, but can I suggest being able to report them in game rather then at the end of the game, most have caught on now and will leave at the end of the game
Are they ever going to interdict MFI support? MFG just reintroduced it to Dead Trigger. Great job! Wish others would follow suit. They have been promising it since day 1.
Ya know... I'm never dropping a single penny on another Gameloft product, period. Whether it's software or hardware, never happening. After their fiasco with their controller, and promises with that; and now this. Ugh. That's the last straw for me.
Not saying it's killing my game (16:2 last time I played) but mfi support would help everyone out ! I honestly have yet to see a First person shooter multiplayer game with mfi support so maybe they aren't including it due to the advantages that comes out of a controller ! At any rate I'm tired of cheap kills as I stagger and fail at touching the correct button at the right time or turning shooting and moving at the same time.
I'll be interested in seeing what they learn from this and previous games. Considering that they probably started developing MC6 before MC5 was even released (this is just my guess) an announcement can't be too far off, can it? (within the next half year?)
Yes, VERY, VERY early news. I would not expect to hear anything more on it until very late in the year. If even. But all that is very much an unknown at this stage. And officially unconfirmed and not hinted anywhere officially just in case anyone thinks it's coming sooner than it actually will, it won't. MC5 has very much not run its course yet in relation to the planned updates to it. I just thought those into the series might find it an interesting factoid. As to the consistency, I dunno, not to take anything away from the Bucharest studio that did 5, they did an excellent job of returning the game to form with the last content update, but Montreal does have the longest association/history with the series and has developed most of them and the most successful ones in it that have moved the franchise up a gear each time so they probably understand the series better than most and are probably in a better position to grow the series more. Competition is heating up in the category so I always think myself it's best to have those with the best experience on the job. Anyway, we will have to wait and see. Expect no more on it for for quite a while. There's a good bit more planned to be done with MC5 yet with some very solid updates. I suppose one more interesting factoid before I go. If Montreal is working on/ going to work on MC5, it could be taken that Bucharest is working on/going to be working on NOVA 4. They did an excellent job on 3, so, with that IP, they would naturally be the best for that job. Anyway, Gameloft appears to be planning on releasing about 20 titles this year (planning/hoping to/expected to) so expect new versions of the better known IP's towards the mid to end of year, be it Asphalt 8 and Gangtar ???. And again, just to be clear, none of this is officially confirmed or stated, take it merely as an indicator that is subject to the changes/delays that development carries with it. I should note that I'm only posting this stuff so early because some people have taken a very heavy negative stance (beyond those that already had it) towards Gameloft based on last year, so take this as indication that things will be different this year, ie better, because they actually do listen and it does matter to them.
No problemo, thanks for the thanks. Obviously enough, you heard none of this from me. And of course, everything is subject to change at this early stage but it's well worth knowing that stuff is progressing in the right direction and that it looks like we will have a lot to look forward to late in the year, even in relation to other titles.
"You ain't seen me... Right " Quote from the fast show, if I remember rightly your in Ireland, not sure if you would have seen the Fast Show, but made me think of this quote. Maybe YouTube it
