MP gameplay seems smoother overall which I'm really happy about. I haven't encountered any of the previous bugs like grenade suicide, random disconnections or game crashes, players freezing and skipping, etc. so unless I was just lucky tonight, I'd say they did a pretty good job ironing out the bugs. I agree that the seasonal thing is a little tacky and off but it's no big deal. I still haven't wrapped my head around the new upgrades but they don't seem to be giving players a significant advantage like Mess mentioned: gain some lose some. I still think MC4 was much more accurate in terms of response, movement and targets but so far this update makes gameplay more enjoyable. Good job!
I have encountered one case of grenade suicide of an impact that I threw about 10m away but I didn't mind much, I also have had only two crashes since the update, luckily they were right after the matches ended. I do agree with you though, I haven't had any freezing and the game is much more enjoyable.
I don't think they fixed ANY bugs at all, I've had a lot of crashes and freezing lately which is very annoying. Supply Drops or watever they're called are extremely hard to get, I've only had one in 24 hours. Seems they just added some content and didn't bother about making their hardcore MC fans happy by fixing any game breaking bugs.
Can anyone help me. I'm on a mission and can't get all the stars because I can't make one objective that's for multiple deaths. What is the best way to achieve it?
Having same experience here, except that despite playing prob 8 hours of game time or so since the update, have yet to get any of these "supply crates", apparently they're rarer than unicorns. Game still freezes/locks up on average abt every 5th match, I still get suicided by my own grenades from 20 feet or more away, I can still get knifed from 10 feet away, I can mag-dump into someone's head right next to them and they can still kill me with @ 20% health left. Pretty much majorly disappointed with this update. Only bright spot to me personally is, the scramble map is pretty cool, and the voting system means I don't ever have to play canals map ever again.
Unfortunately, I've had the same experience. Seems I was just lucky right after the update but bugs have started re-appearing. Suicide, knife, players skipping and freezing, inaccurate or laggy damage are all back. Game has been crashing less though. I haven't seen any supply crate either but GL probably wants to make money so that's understandable they would make them appear only rarely.
I want to ask if anyone having the same problem as me but it will most likely be dismissed like it has been before when I've asked. I want to know why I lose 20-40 MP rating points when I do extremely well in TDM but I gain 5-10 when I do a half assed match in VIP? I do want to play other game modes while still remaining at the top of my local leaderboards, I've dropped roughly 500 MP rating points when not playing VIP matches, I got upto a rating of 2200 but it immediately dropped after playing any other game mode and I was playing well like I usually do and it drops so much in every match that isn't VIP, the last game I played was a TDM where my team won and I was at the top of my match and my rating was 1753 after that match, I don't know what my rating was before that, it was 1797 the last time I checked which was the day before so it can't have been much different than that, and I was winning all my games when it was that high, I had not lost any games in between the time when it was 1797 to now. Please GL I don't only want to be playing VIP every day, I want some variety in this game, if you don't want to change it you might as well remove all other game modes if you don't change it.
@dant I don't know how it fully works, never really got it clarified The only thing I can guess is that the VIP mode is giving you much higher points that any other mode, and therefore giving you a higher rating. What sort of scores are you getting in the matches when it goes up vs down? I gave up bothering about my MP score ages ago. To be honest it really doesn't matter, you don't get rewarded for good one or penalised for a bad one. If keeping a high score is all that really matters to you in MP then you will have to just keep playing the mode that allows you to have that score. Unless GL decide to do something about it (which they should as it makes no sense how it works right now). Or don't worry about it and just play the game to have fun! I don't mean any offense with this by the way
Besides the MP,is the SP alone worth a purchase?I can imagine to get the same answer like with any comparable shooter (no) but at least it's not 60-70 bucks like a BF or Cod game
Yeah I try to not worry about it but it still bothers me when I do really well in a match and I should in fact be rewarded for that but I'm not. In my last match which was when it dropped to 1753 or whatever it was I got roughly 3100 and I had a positive KD that round so it should have gone up, but in VIP I rarely get over 3000 points which I just find strange. I guess I bothers me because I used to play a lot of casual and competitive CS:GO with mates and I was used to getting rewarded for doing really well and winning the round (which gets you one step closer to the next league, kinda like the system in this game). I'll take what you said into account and try not to worry about it. Thanks for the reply anyway.
No I wouldn't buy it if it was only SP and I wouldn't buy it for SP, I guess shooters nowadays are all about MP, to answer your question fully I don't think it's wort the purchase if you just want to play SP, it's a little boring and the missions are very short, not like 10-20 minutes in MC3-4, the story was also kinda ridiculous but it's to be expected, since it's on a sale I would get it as it has got a lot of content now for new players.
That's even more strange that you aren't getting as high a score! Maybe start a thread in the official forums, you may get a response from GL quicker there...
All the weapons got unlocked Guys , is it just me or did anyone else get all the weapons in MC5 unlocked. It's only the pro gold weapons I need left. Before I did the update I needed like 5 more shotguns to unlock and they all unlocked when I updated Same with Recon and Sniper class
Let me check, although I don't think I did Edit - nope, but I did get the Smass from a crate, and have now got the pro version as well...
I have to take this one back too. Game's been crashing and freezing my device like before. It's gotta have something to do with memory usage.
How is it ruined? My rating has gone down, but that's only because I'm still learning the two new maps. I haven't noticed any effect from the new weapons or masks. It's annoying that I'll probably never get them, but it's really no big deal.
