me. Doesn't mean CoD isn't a good game, just means due to the lack of change, that mc4 will be more fun. Especially long term. But let's not start another CoD comparison
Are you guys looking forward to bare bones? I'm looking forward to warfare, can't wait to see how they mix zone control and TDM, and what kinds of bonuses are given for each point. What do you guys think the bonuses will be (ie. faster reload for point A, 10% more damage for point B, and maybe faster sprinting for point C) how will that be implemented?
I think the bare bones mode will separate the men from the boys (no insult to anyone with that line by the way). No perks or killchains or support. You'll need all your wits and skill to get through it I think. Don't know about the warfare one but TDM and zone controll mixed together will definitely make things more interesting and strategic. I'm pretty sure my run and gun strategy is out the door for this game or at least for a lot of the modes. Have to hope my semi camp and run strategy will carry over. If it doesn't, I'm gonna get pwned.
Just reinstalled MC3 to brush up on skills. Deleted it again pretty fast. Had about 3 minutes of play without a hacker and it was turning out to be a good match. But then enter the hackers. Tried a few other matches and the just deleted it again. It is pointless trying to play it with hackers. The speed hackers and support spammers really are very annoying. I really do hope they get security right this time round because I'm just going to delete it if hackers get through easily as it is simply pointless playing it with them in a match.
I have joined couple clans before, pretty much nothing really. Waste of time. They just talk on Skype or pals and do matches together. Which takes long time and boring
Ah okay. That kinda seems a bit pointless then. We tended to do that in the mc3 thread anyway without any of the complications of changing user names to clan names or Skype or anything else at all.
A great little addition to the modern combat series would be full clan support. I would love that (even though I never join them).
A clan is a pointless group of people who like to think they're the shiznit so they can put a few uppercase letters in front of their names.
True true, unless they're the best it don't matter, even so I'd prefer to be known as an individual in a ragtag group of buddies playing together and having fun!
Or just haven't played enough of the game. Go an hour into the multiplayer and trust me, they're there bold and obnoxious.
If they have a clan system then we should make TA clan finally. As in, we help each others be better, we will become better all. And bnates, that was an obvious advertisement
Just removed almost 100 off topic posts from the last few pages. This thread is for Modern Combat 4. If you want to discuss other topics, please create or use another thread, or PM each other personally. Rip73, JBRUU and K1lljoy_89, you've posted many off topic posts. You're welcome to post, but please do it in the right places. Thanks.
Anyways, since it appears I'm one of the few PC gamers here, I wanted to know what kind of graphical effects you guys hope to see in the game. Why graphical effects? Well for one, they mean a lot to me. They add immersion to the game world, and each time I see something I don't expect on a device, I'm impressed immediately. Here's a few of mine: God rays. Ever since I saw these in Lili (and when I installed IB2 onto my new iPhone 5, I finally got to see them there, too), I've been ogling them every chance I got. They're in Borderlands 2 and Alan Wake as well, but damn if they're not incredible on the iPhone 5. Depth of field. This was in N.O.V.A. 3, so I see no reason why it shouldn't be in here, too. Motion blur. This is a standard in most FPSs these days. Select few exempt it, but I think it's a beautiful cinematic effect that adds to the game. Tesselation. This probably isn't possible yet (the trailer shows some pretty sharp polygonal hands), but I still think the game would benefit immensely from this. As an added plus, it usually only hits the framerate by a frame or two. Particles! Man, these things make firefights so much more interesting. In Borderlands 2, chunks of concrete, acid, slag goo, flakes of burnt surfaces, shrapnel, and even water all fly around dynamically during combat. While MC4 certainly won't have gravity defying grenades, I was amazed at how singularity effects operated in BL2 as well. Better voice acting! This isn't a graphical effect, but it kills the immersion! Go play The Amazing Spider-Man so you too can feel my pain!
