And it was edited by a moderator after that who also called it an unreasonably offensive term to use. Get your facts right before you condemn others for calling someone out on using offensive terms that I consider demeaning to certain people who most certainly do not deserve it. Here's the full context of the original post after being edited by a mod. If you read it properly its offensiveness becomes clear, so consider getting your facts right beforehand. The mod edit occurs after "walking little" but the term used is obvious still. I consider myself in general very fair (not all the time but mostly) and considered to other posters. Some terms I find unacceptable though. "Walking little....(I'm not inserting the word he used)..." is one of those terms. Some manners and consideration of others is very important and will get you very far. Ignorance won't.
I liked the way he made his point. I like Squarezero's style anyway. He is a moderator I have quite a bit of respect for. Both in the way he moderates and his opinion on games

That's okay then. It's good of you to apologise. Some terms can be intended by some in an offensive way but I see now that it wasn't your intent to insult or offend. Apology accepted, no problem.

I'm going to see how much I can get for my ipod 4G, it just doesn't meet my iOS gaming standards anymore. Too many games on the unreal engine that don't work as well as they should due to low ram and A4 chip. I had an 8gb ipod touch a couple years ago and that was not nearly enough space. My current ipod is 32 gb which is probably the minimum storage that I need because I play so many games and I like to have them available. Realistically would like to have the 64gb model but it might be a tad too expensive right now. ....but obviously to enjoy the full extent of mc4 you need a device with a minimum A5 chip.
Why not consider putting a thread in the lounge section that if anyone has iPad 2 or 3 for sale. I'm not sure if there is a rule against it or not though. So check that out first. I'm in Europe so I can't help you there but on regional / local forums (local bulletin board type forums are good) over here, it's generally quite easy to find a reliable person selling one. I can always find a few as long as I limit myself to close to where I'm based at the time. Dodgy sellers tend to want things delivered far from themselves. And stay away from eBay or Craigslist. (Check for a local one on big-boards.com) So it could be possible to find someone reasonably close to you that's selling one. There won't be a major drop in price but sometimes you'll find somebody who just needs the cash fast and get a decent reduction. It's worth a shot anyway. For best results in MC4, it has to a device with a5 though. Whether it be mini, iPad or touch. NOVA 3 makes that pretty clear. I did play a few of the updated games on the iPhone 5 and there is a massive difference. I was quite surprised at the real world difference despite the small increase in screen. So I do think the touch 5 would work quite well with this game. I do also think any iPad has an online advantage in MC3 so I'm sure the same will apply to MC4. So that's also worth considering. And funnily enough MC2 is easily as playable in the same way on either the phone or the iPad. It's actually quite a tough decision when you can only pick one. Edit. All the mods really do us a great favor removing spam, banning obnoxious and advertising posters, and keeping general order. If there was a little applause smiley I'd use it.
I think new iPod touch is going to get outdated pretty soon. My 4S already 2 chips behind from iPhone 5... Which by next year it would be like 1 chips more behind or so. So yeah, time to get new device soon or just give up on iOS gaming
Thanks for the advice and it's a good post, very informative. I think I would rather buy it new. Something about buying a used iPad... who knows if it has been dropped or some little kid has drooled all over it I used to like the convenience of having something small to fit in my pocket.... but since I've been getting into pc games, I really prefer the bigger screen, especially with games like Nova3 and Mc3.
You can purchase an refurbished iPad online from the apple store, my friend puchased an 2nd gen. 64 gb iPad from the apple & saved $$$ it's comes with the warranty, etc it's impossible to tell it was used. Check it under refurbished iPads.
