Modern Combat 4

Is anyone getting the new iPod Touch 5th Gen? My parents won't pay for the plan so I can't get an iPhone, but I am considering buying the new iPod Touch. Does anybody already have one and if so, would you reccomend it?

 

I don't have one, but if you only have a 4G iPod, game a lot and have $300 to spare its a no brainer. The iPod 4 is almost completely dead for gaming.

 

Apple released the new iPod at just the right time, since most of the upcoming games aren't going to support it

Nah I just only have an iPod touch so my buying the game before Christmas relies on it running on iPod

 

Am I the only one who noticed the explosions are amazing! They look more explosiony than just a ball of fire in previous games haha

Hey you're right! Awesome! The Modern Combat series finally got basic ballistics and physics right on the fourth try!

 

I think that the explosion effect from Brothers In Arms 2 is better than MC4's.

 

We'll see if mc4 will support ipod 4G. It's a close call because Mc3 and Nova 3 barely work on the 4G so it's very iffy??? If the game does support 4G, it will be very limited with special effects. I think it's time for me to upgrade my hardware.

 

Why is it set in the future, if the series is called ''Modern Combat''

You and me both brother, I'm getting an iPad 2 or iPod touch 5 for Christmas, but I hope I don't have to wait until December to kinda play it. Lol

 

As an adjective, modern pertains to present or recent time.
Which is the current time period.
That's not the future or ancient or past.
As a synonym it refers to that which is characteristic of the present. It applies to those things that exist in the present age.
It only refers to the time period from the end of the Middle Ages to the present when being used specifically in relation to historical events and historical time frames.

Since I assume GL doesn't have an English Masters, I think by modern they probably mean +/- 5 years. For example MW3 took place around 2017 (I think).

A definition of a word is still a definition. Intended or colloquial meaning isn't always the same as the dictionary definition.

 

Tbh it's nice to meet a guy on the Internet who, for once, cares even the slightest about grammar and proper communication. Not that I'm that veritable bastion of proper form and grammatical excellence, but I try not to write lik dis cuz its wut all the othr ppl on the www do.

MW3 was 2013 if I'm not mistaken. I have the game but I hate it so much I didn't play the campaign or anything so I don know
