That gameloft report that revealed this - do we know that that was 100% from gameloft and that mc4 IS happening, it's just a matter of when, or was that not 100% official? For all we know there will be no mc4?
8th post on page 5. The source is Gameloft financial report. Reference to unannounced games since removed from it. It wasn't an official announcement. It was simply too much info put in a report on the quarterly results. There is no question as to whether MC4 is coming or not. The only question is how far is development.
I'm hoping for 2013 release. If nova 3 is any indication, production values for this will be ridiculously good, probably better considering it's gameloft's flagship shooter series. Hopefully it's their in house engine, too. What I'm most concerned about is optimization, after the fps drop-fest that was Wild Blood.
Yeah frame rate would be a concern. I do think we are looking at a Decemeber launch though simply to maximise sales.

I hope that Modern Combat 4 has slightly improved graphics, 6 multiplayer maps, with 2 map packs, each with 2 new maps, so would bring the total to 10 maps. It should have at least 15 guns, with optional paints. Killstreaks should be optional, and 30 minute games should be abolished!
I think to improvement should made in next game is actually adding more guns... I think we don't need more attachment, 3 perk slot and more perks should be biggest change they should make. I think I rather want simple killstreak like mc3, but they should add counter uav, and AC-130
Modern Combat 4 should have bigger maps. Not large scale maps. But mid-large ... Like enough space to be able to have vehicles added to the game. And more attatchments for weapons & definitely more weapons ... Period. Because last MC only had 21 gun count. And more challenges. Better killstreaks. Group chat , & microphone chat should be added at that. Controllable killstreaks & C4/Mines. And last but not least. Make it original. No more Call of Duty lookalikes. And one last thing ... Make a channel for Modern Combat where you can record in-game & it'll upload to the channel.
NOVA was very unpromising. The gameplay is nice ... But the vehicles made the game boring. It's just a dry , very boring game. That's why I suggest Modern Combat 4 has vehicles.
Oh I'm sure it will be more than slightly improved... Maybe It will run on the unreal engin. Graphics effects like ragdall effects, Feild of depth, advance partical system, high res texturs, high res character models, advance lighting, and other graphics effects only on the iPhone 4s iPad 2 and 3, and the iPhone 5!
I hoping for the in house engine after the framerate drop fest that was wild blood. We'll probably see on higher end devices depth of field and motion blur in cutscenes, ragdoll physics, dynamics lighting system+realtime shadow casting on guns, of course high res (and more importantly high poly like NOVA 3) models. What I'm hoping for (but not counting on) are realtime character shadows, fully advanced physics and particle system (but we'll at least get NOVA's), radial blur when moving quickly+depth of field when sprinting. Also an option to TURN OFF RETINA ASSETS ON IPAD 3 BUT TURN ON A LITTLE AA. I hate full retina gaming.
